The weird low table thing in your room is because in the original design of the room it was supposed to be a giant couch that they convert to a bed at night, but they decided to just leave it in bed mode if you can call it that. So there would have been a couch cushion on it but now it’s more of a night stand or ridiculously low table. They put that tray on it to make you think it was intentional lol. Actually heard about this on another RUclipsrs Chanel, I forget who now but they showed the original photo concept of the room with no bed just the couch. Its also a drawer for storage space.
It also converts into two twin beds
I don’t know if anyone has said this yet, but that side table by the bed is there because you can change your bed into a couch configuration and then it’s useful to have it next to you like a side table. OK I hope that answers your question. Have a fabulous time.🤗

Can’t wait for the rest of this virgin voyages series. My wife and I have been on that ship twice and absolutely love it. You guys should definitely try the pizza, test kitchen, and the wake restaurant at the stern of the ship.

In your cabin, they can split the bed, so it makes an L shape, and the other bed sits on that platform where the tray is. Your room attendant will also turn it in to a "sofa" if you wish, same thing, it turns into an L shape and they store the bedding away.
Its also a draw you can store stuff.

That was actually a mild boarding experience compared to the sailing we went on. But it was raining that day so instead of being spread out all over the ship everyone was probably packed in at the entry. Yelling, Screaming, Dancing, etc. Also we were in a suite so we were the first to board and you appear to be boarding toward the end.
