You've NEVER played these Minecraft versions. Why not?

- Throughout Minecraft's long history, there have been a few odd spinoffs and unreleased experiments that most of us have forgotten about, or never got the chance to play in the first place. Even though some of them- like Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends- get a spot in the launcher, there are plenty of other versions out there that you probably haven't played. So today, I'm going to be playing 3 different, unusual spinoffs of Minecraft which I think you might enjoy.
I tried to edit this video differently than usual. I hope you like it :D

About 0x10c; the wiki says that 0x10c was a followup to Minecraft, but I'm not sure if that means it was meant to be set after the story of Minecraft or just the game after Minecraft in general. It was literally described by Notch as "Minecraft in space", so... Who knows! We can only imagine. Игры
my middle school used minecraft education edition and we would have assinments like "build a tree house with two other people" it was fun :)
ur so lucky what
MAN YOU ARE SOOOOOO LUCKY IM JEALOUS
whattttt how?!
wait for what class?? and how was it graded? genuinely so interested :0
Probably Art but possible and technology, am not sure
Fun fact the npcs from education edition are fully functional in bedrock edition(not java)
And this also goes for some of the other things like cameras being in the games code and chemistry being accessible with settings
I wish that it comes to java and that you can get the items in creative mode and don't have use real chemistry
They only ported it because education edition is just bedrock anyways and they don't want their main fanbase (including JE) to miss out on features if they really want them.
most features from education edition are in bedrock with a world toggle
Yes
@@GameKnight237 I hope it doesn't
5:21 The Crafting Table actually used to be called a Workbench in older versions of Minecraft.
We would be saying "Hey i need wood to make a w o o d b e n c h?"
squiddo: is given access to a chem lab
also squiddo: immediately tries to make drugs
Squiddo Pinkman?😂
I'm so glad someone has actually covered minicraft I can't remember how I found it but I used to love it, never did kill the sky wizard though...
I played the port made for mobile phone
@@Shoutiest same
@@Shoutiest There's a port for phones!?
SAME LOL
i wish they continued 0x10c, it looks very cool!
As a previous Minecraft ds gamer I can confirm, it was epic
yeah 0x10c was one of those games that require you to know how to program things and use java script to make servers and play so unless you go into the games code and figure out the commands have fun stuck on the start screen

NPCs actually are in vanilla on Bedrock Edition. I like to use them sometimes for… well, NPC purposes.
So are several other Education Edition features like the Border block, which I have used less often than NPCs but it is pretty good for keeping spectators out of a PvP arena while still giving them a full view and not having to place a ton of barriers.
I actually do use education edition, its really cool tbh
did u know the ''girl villager'' is an npc and theyre available in bedrock! theres a bunch of in game models for them and u can even use them as a sort of command block. theyre very fun
the girl villagers are fun. 🧐🧐🧐
@@Temm6130 🤨🤨🤨😳
I remember playing Minicraft when i was really young, It was honestly super fun and easy to get into. Id love to see you make a full video on it :)
Man I would love to have my school make an smp if it wasn't for the fact that education edition is based off of bedrock
i don't see a problem here. both editions have their strengths and weaknesses. bedrock is more accessible and runs far better on low end devices, java has more extensive modding capabilities. to me, Minecraft is Minecraft. I don't get people who say one is better than the other.
@@dukethecrusader7815 it's just because I have my preferred way to play, and for me bedrock shows way too much junk with the marketplace, has microtransactions despite already costing money, and the featured serves are pay to win, full of cheaters, and my friends that play bedrock have never even known about adding servers or it's just too complicated to on console. Most bedrock players actually hate bedrock because they watch java players and see the stuff they always wanted to play, but can't because they don't have a PC. So while there are some who prefer bedrock, most wish to play java.
@@da_pwo bedrock is actually pretty good on pc because it lets you mod freely, but i do see where you are coming from. i personally enjoy both.
Both bedrock and java are nice, although bedrock is buggier and microsoft is more focused on profit then gameplay
I prefer java, but I will play bedrock sometimes to play multiplayer (without LAN or a dedicated server)
@@da_pwo Then just use education.
Minicraft was from my childhood and I never thought I'd find the name of it again, but as soon as I saw the familiar trees and rocks I got sooo excited, thank you so much for accidentally re-discovering my childhood game!
My school used Minecraft for like, model assignments. When learning about volcanoes we’d use Education Edition to make Volcano models. When learning about settings in Art we used Education Edition to make a town model.
2:48 You were just shaking it lmao
Fun fact:
The camera, barrier blocks (not to be confused with the other barrier block that is literally the 🚫 emoji), and the 'Workbench' have something in common.
1.) The Camera was originally in MCPE/MCBE way before cross platform play and Education Edition were brought to life. It served the same purpose it would have had in the Education Edition.
2.) The Barrier blocks, or more appropriately named Barrier / Barrier Wall, did exist alongside the camera in older versions of MCPE. This wall is not meant to be confused with the other 'Barrier' item that still is around to this day. Another block literally named "Approve/Deny" was a block that, like certain gamemodes such as Survival/Adventure, could either prevent you from breaking blocks or placing blocks, or allow you to place/break blocks.
3.) The Workbench in Minicraft has had a close tie to the finalized 'Crafting Table' in Minecraft, as the Crafting Table also used to be called a Workbench.
4:51 SQUIDDO ARE U TRYING TO FIGHT SPAMTON NEO????
My first Minecarft experience was actually on education edition- that chemistry lab brings back so many memories.
In year 5, we used to play education edition all the time! It was amazing!
One of my teachers at my school lets students in his class play Education Edition when they finish their assignments. Said teacher also joined as "Goku" and caused chaos. I killed him once in PVP too. Fun times!
I know about Minicraft! The only reason I do is because I homebrewed my 3ds, and Minicraft was one of the games I could download off of this menu of a few other homebrew apps. I was really curious and decided to play it- It's pretty fun honestly! It's a lot more simplified on the 3ds (go figure) like, a lot of the items and such are just missing, and there's a lot of bugs. It may still be a work in progress port I suppose- I also have the computer version downloaded! That one is probably the most fun of the two-
Yooo a fellow minicraft 3ds owner
@@something6116 Heck yeah! Its pretty neat :]
I still play it every now and then!
@@justdoodles9906 i first found out about minicraft through a mobile port, but whenever I saw that I could get it through hshop on my 3ds i immediately bought it

Squid do, there is another version named "Minecraft 4K (Kilobytes)", it's basically random blocks randomly placed everywhere, no fall damage, black sky, and no title screen.
of course i want to see more! your videos always makes me happy :)
Every school needs to only use Minecraft education edition, we need this to be a law!!!
And I'm crying of laughing whenever someone in the game moves quick😂😂 like 4:37
Imagine if there was Minecraft: Squiddo mode, and it was just spamton.
i lowkey thought she got to hypixle at 4:15🤣
4:26 yeah, my school uses this usually in projects or if we have really no lessons
Damm you are lucky
@@Rioberry_Mid-tier-mfr yep :D
You from Sweden or something?(No offence just curious)
@@Rioberry_Mid-tier-mfr no im from georgia
I remember that in Minecraft PE was possible to enable the "education edition" features and you could do all the chemistry
And one thing I remember that was very fun, was the balloons, which can be attached to mobs, hence making them to fly
wait they're completely separate now? what's gonna happen to those 2 education edition worlds i have in bedrock when i open them back up
@@rainbowsylvie16 I'm not sure if they're separate now
It's been a while since I played Bedrock
When I was in primray school, we had school laptops that had minecraft education on them and whenever we got free time in the library we would just play minecraft. Me and all my friends always played on this world for about two years, it was called town tingum and I can still access it with my school account to this day :D
welcome to the minecraft backrooms
3:10
0:10 Oh you think I've never played on the Wii U? You underestimate me, that's where I first played Minecraft
squiddo, your videos always make me smile and laugh when I need to the most, thank you for making videos
my siblings and I used to only have the wiiU version, we loved playing in the premade Mario world, since we didn't know how to play Minecraft and we could get a bunch of gold and emerald blocks from the decorations lol
I used Education Edition in one of my old schools.
We never used it for anything, we would just get to play on it on Fridays if we did all of our homework.
I remember one kid coding an agent to build an entire house one time. (P.S. it's not an appstore, those are code)
" you've never played these minecraft versions, why? "
: My laptop get 11 fps in the normal version
Oh I remember Minicraft!
I used to play it on my Windows Phone.
Both of which are long gone at this point...
In my school, every Friday we have “fun Friday” for last period if we behave. And we get to play any games we want! Blooket, kahoot, make our own servers in those games, Minecraft education edition, cool math games and more!
I actually played Minicraft back on my old Nokia Lumia, years ago. I'd forgotten it wasn't just a weird fever dream but an actual thing.
I'm actually on education edition - The thing where it doesn’t allow you to move, it happens just, all you need to do is spam basically all the buttons u used before since its some coding glitch in the game which it basically just repeats the button you pressed at random
anyway- I have a world with a few of my classmates on edu edition and its not that different from actual minecraft other than a few features.
(also updates are like an update late so it took a while for us to get a LOT of updates)
But yeah education edition for me was actually used for art class :D
Ive played minicraft hundreds of times and even played it on my Gameboy! I love that little game
Ive been trying to find minicraft again :sob: im so glad that you covered it here
Education edition:Well you can’t eat substances in Minecraft but…you can eat glow sticks and fireworks!
I'd love to see you play more 4D Miner! That's the video through which I discovered your channel, after all~ ^_^
0:45 her laughter is golden i could hear it all day
You weren’t eating them they were lighting them up 😂 I love watching you
1:22 I LEGIT NO JOKE HAVE A CHICKEN NAMED THIS IRL
*_F O G H O R N_*
My school is going to start using this at some point soon and I’m so excited for it
Man, this gave me some nostalgia, as a wii-u edition player.
My old school used minecraft education, and for assignments, I would just make what they asked me, but 30x bigger. Man I'm obsessed with minecraft
6:57 Well done, 47. Now head towards an exit.
This editing.. WHY IS IT ALWAYS SO GOOD!??!?!??!?
I want java minecraft to have penguins.
So that explains why they have a new space thing in bedrock, they're making up for how broken the spacecraft looking game was
oh i actually played minicraft!! i hacked my ps vita a year ago and in looking for stuff to put on it i found minicraft, saying it was an official spinoff and thought id try it out
i stopped after 10 minutes but i did technically play it
The chicken is named Foghorn because of Looney Tunes, the name of the Rooster is Foghorn Leghorn
Squiddo is like an travaler to vacation on broken worlds
There's also Minecraft Pi Edition, for the Raspberry Pi. It is based on Pocket Edition Alpha 0.6.1, but very limited. There is no survival mode, and no mobs can spawn. It is an educational tool to learn how to code in Python. It is no longer being updated now. The player is also named 'Stevie'.
2:11: the fact that squiddo actually used the Baldi’s Basics title screen makes me really happy
Every school I have been in since Minecraft Education was released gave us Minecraft Edu. And since we are allowed to keep our emails, we are essentially given free Minecraft for life lmao
OH MY GOD I PLAYED MINICRAFT LIKE YEARS AGO AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS WHAT??? YOU JUST GAVE ME SUCH A FLASHBACK
Fun fact: Education Edition have colored balloons that you can strap to animals to make them fly.
My school uses Minecraft Education Edition, and as someone who's been playing Java years prior, I was practically just as surprised when i realized just how much more was in Education Edition compared to Java. I mean, it has BALLOONS, and all of those chemistry tables are really handy for the sole reason of filling up space in a cool house build. It's wild, man.
5:00 I used to play this game on my phone for hours when I was younger, I didn't even know Notch made the game till last year when looking into it. used to be on the Play Store, think it was some random guy who ported it. I might miss remember this but I think there was multiplayer
minecraft education edition had a chokehold on my high school during freshmen year. one person would open a server and literally everyone in the grade would join and play together. it got so bad that nobody would wanna do class work, so they banned it on the schools wifi.. its still installed on our laptops tho ;)
(I have been freaking out and squealing so bad since I saw my fanart-) I've played education Edition in school all the time and seeing you play and look at the editions was just amazing :D
I used to play minicraft all the time as a kid!! It was one of those games we were really happy wasnt blocked on the school computers lol
7:14 why did it write my nick
I think the crafting table was called the crafting bench at some point, which could explain why minicraft calls it a workbench
1:11 what song is this? I know it's metal crusher, but what remix?
They specifically named that pig Reuben to show people they care about Minecraft story mode
Fun fact:
Minicraft was also created by Notch, it was made for a 48-hour game programming contest.
Squido trying to make cristal is both out of caracter and so in caracter at the same time.
Bro showed 1, 2 second long clip on legacy edition and hit me with 5 years of nostalgia
"The grinch just steal christmas, he stole *LIVES!* "
Retro gaming now’s title:
You’ve NEVER heard of these Minecraft versions, Why not?
1:11 this is called an npc and are obtainable in bedrock edition. When you’re making a world, go to experiments and turn on education edition. Then, use the command /give @s spawn_egg 1 51 or /summon npc
bro the production value going 📈📈📈📈
Minecraft Education Edition. Goes to show that you can learn more in Minecraft than you could in school
My brother and me used to play Education Edition. The one with rides from Minecraft's 10th birthday or something, pretty sure it had this like building with booths where you can practice Math and Science.
You can activate editation edition mode In world setting when making it and to get NPCs do /summon npc or something like that
The excitement and confusion in Minecraft education was so funny for since I play it all the time
5:20 wasn't crafting table called workbench in older versions of pc minecraft?
If not I'm getting the mandela effect, I recall referring to it as a workbench myself.
Now, one thing to clarify about the inability to play Minecraft on Wii U and 3DS is that you don't actually lose access to the releases, they just become unavailable on the eShop with the Wii U and 3DS branches shutting down as well making the only legal way of playing them being finding a physical copy. It's not much of an issue with Wii U, since it's physical release was pretty much global but for the 3DS the physical release was US exclusive for some reason and the 3DS is region locked meaning you have to basically buy an US 3DS to even play it, although I guess 3DS editions with it pre-installed still can have it installed after the shutdown of eShop's 3DS branch.
4:35 Minecraft New 3ds… isn’t an eShop game. Lik, I OWN that game. I got it for my birthday because my parent didn’t want to pay for the cheaper version
fun fact craftingtable used to be called workbench and to this day i still regularly forget which is when
Oh my gosh I tought i'd never hear of Minicraft ever again, I was starting to belive it was just a fever dream I had lol
I remember the wii u edition! I had so much fun with my friends on that.
Minecraft switches world is probably one of my favorites. The development team behind it went hard on it, they even have Delfino Island from Super Mario Sunshine! Something Nintendo didn’t do
Pretty sure that was in the 3DS as well, and possibly the Wii U as well.
Minicraft used to be it back in 2011 for me, since I couldn't get minecraft my mom found minicraft on the old windows phone app store and I've just had those memories in the back of my mind lol.
2:55 im convinced you lit it with your teeth like a match
who's gonna tell squiddo that most of the things in education edition are also in bedrock
fun fact: notch actually made a game for a gamejam called MiniCraft, DanTDM played it and it's basicially forgotten
5:21 Only that the crafting table was called a workbench for a little while before mojang changed it.
i have the minecraft 3ds (its actually really fun to play) edition on a cartridge :) Its a great version of minecraft for being a barely even updated. Its farthest update is the updated that added the Woodland mansion
where did you get smol tool construction 2011 from
My sibling and I still have our Wii U Minecraft. If done right, you can even get mods on it, which is what I'm trying to do
Love your vids❤
Hey, I never played the space one but I think you have to type start or run and maybe put something after it like run (the game's name).exe or something like that
Minecraft PE/Bedrock:DUDE WE LET YOU DO A WORLD WITH EDUCATION EDITION
My school had an Education edition Minecraft but never used it to teach.
