We often hear songs where one person realizes that the other person only pretended to love them. But here, BTS brings a different approach, it's about realizing that you have canceled yourself out because you love the other person too much, trying hard not to show weaknesses, failures or make mistakes so as not to disappoint the other person, which turns this love into falsehood. or an illusion. The artistic details and symbolism used by BTS are incredible. From the various elements (sculpture behind them, mirror, telephone, fire, chocolate, water, sand, mask) to the choreography (where they pretend to be puppets or make blind, deaf and mute gestures), everything they do is art. This song draws our attention to the importance that authenticity and self-love have for a healthy relationship, alerts us to the dangers of losing ourselves in a process based on falsehood and leads us to reflect that it is not worth sacrificing who we really are to please someone because it will lead to disappointment and pain. 💜
“This music video has a story behind it”… Well, there is a mega storyline that weaves through several of this MVs, concert videos, published notes, webtoons. It’s called the Bangtan Universe or BU. Bangtan is part of BTS’s full Korean name. People will tell you to get into the BU, but don’t worry about that right now. Just enjoy the MVs.
You should keep the subtitles on so you can understand the meaning of the song and you don't miss a moment. It's okay to repeat a little if you miss something. Thank you for reacting to BTS, don't forget to do the the guide by Taylor seven members of bangtan ❤ I support you
Pretty much all BTS music is much deeper than it appears on the surface. The only 3 that are lighter poppy style are the 3 english songs for cheering us up in covid (Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance). For example Fake Love might appear about romantic relationship, however while it can be, it is also about your own relationship with yourself. BTS message is love yourself and Fake Love is about a toxic relationship, or one stayed in too long, or one that isn't real. Basically losing yourself by not being true to yourself and the emptiness that can leave. You said it seemed like someone had died, which is more like your own person has died by being in a toxic situation, through your own facets of personality, insecurity etc., or in a relationship with others. Even how you see yourself. Just a bit of extra info, BTS very rarely use cgi (apart from Idol, which was deliberately used to make a point to critics), so the water, fire, floor dropping etc., all was real. There are also references through MVs relating to the BTS story that runs through them (Bangtan Universe).
One of my favorite BTS songs!! Definitely check out the full lyrics because they're very deep and meaningful. Fake Love is part of their Love Yourself album series, so while it can be taken as a fake love to someone else, it can also be a fake, untrue love to yourself. This song is one of their 3 "artistic" songs/MVs (other 2 are Blood, Sweat, and Tears and Black Swan). About the video: BTS have a fictional storyline (dubbed the BU "Bangtan Universe") that runs through their albums and music videos, as well as short films, booklets, webtoon, and a mobile game. Not all MVs are part of the BU, but some are so that's why it seemed so cinematic and sad. I wouldn't recommend getting into the BU yet because it's very confusing, complex, and dark, but that's something to keep in mind when watching BTS content! Last thing lol, while BTS does use a green screen and CGI, they try to use practical effects as much as possible. So the falling floor, water, and fire scenes were all real! In the behind the scenes video you can see them doing it.
Hi. Super reaction. You should check all members' solo songs, not just Jimin. They are all very good, each in their own style and in their own genre. There are many solo songs, e.g. Jin- The Astronaut (collaboration with Coldplay), Suga aka Agust D- Daechwita, Rm- Wild Flower, J-Hope- Arson, V (taehyung)- Slow dancing and Jung Kook-3D. As for other k-pop groups, EXO, Stray Kids and the girl group Mamamoo are very good, Mamamoo and Exo have amazing vocals, especially live.

Every BTS album is a concept album. All 20 group albums and 15 solo albums by members so far. The tracks are in a storytelling order with an overall narrative. Many are also grouped in sets called Eras, with specific themes, like life stages or self-exploration and healing or exploring the nature of all types of love and so on. They are famous for the depth and complexity of their storytelling and lyricism. Every member writes, composes and produces, in addition to their singing, dancing and rapping. Their songs are generally layered with meaning, telling universally relatable stories as well as deeply personal stories about their own lives. Then there is the BU - The Bangtan Universe, a supernatural fictional mystery storyline woven throughout a bunch of their work with clues sprinkled over many years and many multi-medias like lyrics, album notes, MVs (like this one), short films, webtoons, their mobile game BTS World, books and more. So some songs tell universally relatable stories, personal stories AND are part of the BU storyline. For Example: The universally relatable story in this song and MV is about a toxic relationship, romantic or otherwise. It is about lying about who you are, to yourself and loved ones, so that you are being fake, like a fake person, a doll. This is what is discussed in the lyrics. Accordingly, the choreography is puppet based, like a doll being pulled by strings, not a real person, and with other moves representing lying like a masking move and a See/Hear/Speak No Evil set of moves. The big hands in the art at the beginning are the hands of puppeteers in the scale for the guys to be the puppets. But the hands also are a stylized version of the See/Hear/Speak No Evil positions. The guys fan out in silhouetted marionette poses in front of the hands, and Jungkook falls to his knees and then rises like a puppet pulled on strings (with help from V underneath his back.) Throughout the choreography there are other puppet based moves. Here is one of my favorite live performances of Fake Love with a dance break that really highlights the puppet theme. Also, BTS are some of those incredibly rare artists who are better live than in their recordings. All of them are like this, as soloists or as a group. They were born for the stage. The dance break is in the middle of this performance. open.spotify.com/track/2OIENkx2TGwXbfGgxgs6Dt?si=6049b7aa8c46408c The personal story in this song is that it's a treatise on the nature of fame in general, but specifically it is that at the time they wrote this they were struggling with their rise to unprecedented levels of global fame, and they were having a really hard time dealing with it all. The are used to being extremely open and honest with us (ARMY) and they felt like they were hiding this from us and it hurt them to feel like they were lying behind fake smiles. They almost disbanded over the pressure, and this was not the only song to come out of that struggle. They did come clean with us about their struggle, when they won the Artist of the Year award at the end of the year at the MNET Asian Music Awards. Jin, the last one to talk during their acceptance speech told us what they had been struggling with. They were all very emotional. Here is that speech. ruclips.net/video/vVs710bHkNA/видео.html EVERYTHING in the MV has meaning. Most of their MVs are like that, packed with visual storytelling along with their lyrical and choreographed performance art storytelling. Most of the visual clues are related to the BU in this one. You can enjoy BTS purely at a surface level auditorily and visually, but if you want to, you can dive very deep indeed, in multi-media content. They make music of substance and intelligence, with themes that bridge cultures and demographics and a mastery of multi-lingual poetic lyricism as well as choreographed storytelling. They also have many of their own streaming shows, series, documentaries, behind the scenes, livestreams, vlogs, books, and lots of other content. There are 190+ episodes of their own variety show RUN BTS, where they play games, do challenges and have excursions and experiences together. There are their travel shows, 3 seasons of Bon Voyage, two seasons of it's pandemic replacement staycation show In the Soop (in the Forest) and Jimin and Jungkook's travel show Are You Sure? There is Suga's long form intimate interview show Suchwita and j-hope's documentary on street dance around the world Hope on the Street. There are many concert films and album making documentaries and other documentary series. There is even an amazing ARMY made documentary series about their rise to fame called The Rise of Bangtan. And much more.... This is why we say welcome to the rabbit hole. Once you fall in you may never find your way out and remain happily lost in this rabbit warren maze with the rest of us.

Fake love Is part of the Love yourself album trilogy love yourself her love yourself tear love yourself answer It's also part of the BTS bangtan universe Fictional story line. The 1 thing you look confused about J. hope was lying in a room full of snickers candy bars In the japanese version of the music video he falls into the candy bars! In the fictional universe when he was a little boy his mother abandoned him at an amusement park leaving him only a snickers candy bar! 1 element of the fictional story line is the Jai ho time travel To different different time. When bad things were happening to the other members to save them!
Sometimes BTS lyrics take some time and thought to fully understand. RM, main songwriter and group leader, is a genius and the others aren't far behind. You will also run into cultural differences and political and social issues unique to their country. Those have explanation videos. There is an alternative fictional storyline where the BTS members are fictional characters (called the BU). BU J-Hope was taken to an amusement park as a small boy and his mom gave him a candy bar and then abandoned him, so the candy represents abandonment. Not all their songs are happy. Fake Love is a hard learned lesson.
