So cool, I forged medieval swords before and you did a really good job keeping it as true to history and the fantasy as possible. So thank you so much 👍🏼
I love it but I feel as though it’s a few inches short comparing to the double handle, maybe it’s just me but when it’s combined to the hilt a lot of the blade is stored away making it seem small compared to the reference art. I love it nonetheless and I can’t wait to try for myself. Edit: I realize now it’s because I would make it a long sword and not a broadsword (might have that wrong but for now I hope im right)
Really impressive! How's the durability of the finish on those shiny parts? I know it can be really tricky to add clear coats which don't dull the shine, so I can understand why you didn't do that for this piece
Question, with this and your other projects how well do your projects hold up over time using PLA? Do you ever find PLA's low thermal properties a problem for finished props?

Durable to the touch but it can wear down if rubbed on a hard surface like a table

How do you recommend slicing the blade? Ik you said "4-5 pieces", but what's the "best" way to slice it?
In as few pieces as possible
What kind of conveyor belt 3D printer do you use? I want to make swords but I don’t know enough to know what a good 3D printer is.
I just ordered the sword, does it come with the metal rod, glue or anything to help build the sword? If not could I find everything I need on Amazon?
I'm afraid not but we get our metal rods from a local Lowes
Hey there, what material did you use for the blade? It looked very flexible. Anyway AMAZING job!!!
Regular old PLA!
@@GalacticArmory Oh really? I thought it was some TPU or something similar for that flexibility, okay then thanks!
JIMINY CHRISTMAS THAT THING IS HUGE
