I think one of the best things we can teach our children is perseverance, to not give up. You are a great example. I love the way you appreciate everyone who supported you and traveled with you on this journey. And continues to support you to this day. We all need the support of a team and I'm so blessed to be on your's. Remember, you are never traveling alone.

Honestly Cor, as a kid who also grew up in the 90's in a special needs class. There weren't many times I felt bad, I had my friends and if anyone made fun usually there was a teacher around. Of course I know that's not always the case and I know even to this day some parents don't wanna put them in a "special class' so others won't make fun but that's just unfortant stigma. Funny enough now as an adult who got his dream job being a chef, I seen loads of my old teachers, one who helped me like you determine how much help I needed (intruth I really was on the spectrum, I need some extra time and more of fear of public speaking but I could do the work), from that little boy to this adult man helping and serving her and her daughter with clear voice, eye contact and everything. Truly nice to know if I need help even if I can't have it I can always help myself with the tools I learned. Asking for help is hard but failing sis even harder.

I heard you were home! I remember when your parents were going through getting you the help you needed. I think your mom even spoke before the Kent School Board. My friend, Camille Cummings, ran a school at The Friends Church. I wonder if you were there when she was. She since has passed away from cancer. I loved your grandma and great grandma. Your grandma was like my second mom. 💜💜💜
