Dude that’s like the number one question I get as an adopted person too, it’s always the “why didn’t they love you” when in reality my adoptive parents literally chose me
It's because she wants a white sister, duh! (I'm being sarcastic, idk why she'd be rude to a random girl, but then turn around and say she always wanted a sister lmao)
I legit thought the mom was just going to decide to adopt her because she really seemed to like her. I never guessed that the bully was going to actually GIFT her mother the adoption papers. Like, what if the mom refused? Like yeah, she always said she wanted more kids, but this was a last minute gift of adoption papers. And I love that she gifted the papers right in front of the girl she wanted her mom to adopt. This whole thing is just WILD.
Even if it adds up that the mom would want to adopt her, which it does to the point it's wild she's not the one who brings it up... They're literally on vacation about to go back home across the country, and Carly implied she was moving soon? Like Adoption is a complicated process, I assume there's only so much money can speed it up. The mom could've been like "Surprise I've actually already been talking to our lawyers about it.", or at least should've been like "I'd love to! I'll talk to our lawyers and see what we can do. We'll figure it out, one way or another." But either way those concert tickets better at least be a month out, because that's gonna be some bullshit otherwise.
Seriously, this would've been so much less brain melting if, the both of them called her over, not saying what for, and Carly casually dropped the news she'd gotten informed someone put in an application to adopt her and it might actually go through before she has to move, and have Jan and Monica drop "Oh, we know. Surprise! Here's your early christmas present!" The mom could've even been like "Actually it was Monica's idea. I wasn't sure if it would work but she encouraged me to at least try applying." And then have Monica give a heartfelt speech about how sorry she was and how Carly opened her eyes to not being cartoonishly evil.
My favourite Dhar Mann theme is parents who have clearly done a terrible job of raising their kids but who are depicted as great people who are surprised that their nearly adult children are spoiled assholes.
Just once i want a dhar mann character to snap back/stand up for themselves. “You can’t have that hot chocolate, my mom made it for us” “Yeah? Well she told me i could have some. She also said I could call her JAN.” “Don’t grab marshmallows with your dirty hands” “Oh, I already washed my hands so you dont have to worry”
Yeah me too, but Dhar Mann writing is very cliche and the "nice/good" characters always act docile and innofensive to emphasize the lesson more. The video would have to be written/structured differently than the usual recycled Dhar Mann plot for a charcter to snap back.
Exactly, if Dhar Mann wants to make this plot plausible the employers kid should be at the very least a master manipulator that can convince the parents to fire anybody at the whim.
love how they wrote the girl to have like no agency or really anything to say in the matter. like she'll be moving away from presumably all her friends, her school, her foster siblings, etc., and she's just like "okay no biggie, i will literally go with anyone who wants to adopt me no questions asked!" like hello?????
Yeah and "the noise must be stressful!" sounds pretty condescending and ignorant imo. Like polite rudeness. Not to mention her asking "How are you a foster kid?" and "Why havent you been adopted yet?" 😭💀
I actually know the girl who played Carly (the one getting bullied) & she is such a sweet woman! We worked together on my friend’s series (Progenies, based on The Descendants) & she was great! Love seeing folks I know getting bigger roles like this🥰

This video is literally the poolboy one, except instead of the whole "enemies to lovers" thing (Look at chat for that video, it was a running joke since the actors are either close friends or they turn friends when one of them is a bully but they apologize), it's just "Hey, I never apologized for my bullying just for your situation, but hey new sis, welcome aboard!"
think now is the time to share the moment my ex asked me "why do you call her mom then?" after learning my mother adopted me as a baby. literally the funniest thing she ever said to me
I love how that girl lost both of her parents and had to move to multiple different foster homes, and her only sign of trauma was seeming kinda sad about it.
She was fawning. Being so extremly friendly and submissuve that you let yourself be used and abused without defending yourself. Its a main trauma response and part of the trauma-bonding scheme of relational traumata.
Lol, Dahr Mann is going to reuse this plotline for every season of the year. Spring will have a homeless kid cutting the grass who's saving up for a Macbook. Fall will have another disabled kid raking the leaves for PS6
I imagine Dhar Mann was watching the pool boy episode, and thought to himself, "What if the kid gets adopted at the end?" and created this monstrosity. The sentiment is there, but it was done so tone-deaf and is pretty bizarre. Also, is it not crazy for the daughter to put her mom on the spot, and not tell her about the adoption papers beforehand? I feel like that is a major choice for all people involved to make. Anyways. Have a fantastic day.
You can always count on Dhar Mann to use a poor traumatized child simply as a plot device to teach someone else a lesson. The 'Manic Pixie Dream Girl ' type of the bully to hero redemption arc.
The logistics of adopting a child are very difficult as there are various steps before even being allowed to see the paperwork. They're not like stray cats you can just take, Monica so WTF DID SHE DO TO GET THAT APPLICATION?!! 💀

There are countless very serious things wrong with this Dhar Mann video (and a lot others imho) but yes omg that ‘snow’ is bad prop 101. Not to mention it’s way too sunny. You can tell they’re in a place that’s at least warmish throughout the year. Even on sunny winter days it’s cloudy

Ok I’m not even finished the video I’m going to hope someone mentioned that the mom talking about how spoiled her daughter is was literally WORD FOR WORD what the pool boy video was
she was so excited to join the family of the girl that was literally bullying her and poured hot chocolate on her who only learned her lesson like a week ago. monica went on a becoming a good person speedrun and got the world record, i guess???
Love that the spoiled son in the pool boy video had to put up decorations as a punishment, while the spoiled girl in this video has to chop wood and make a fire. The difference in difficulty is so funny to me 😭 it’s also fairly obvious that the girl doesn’t even know how to chop wood, so it’s a lot more dangerous than just… decorating.
If any Dhar villain could change immediately, it would be in this situation. But, how does the daughter suggest the adoption in front of everyone before the mom even knows... that's super risky
Jarvis cutting wood is easier than you think it just might take a little extra time I’m weak and slow but I can still get the job done never doubt yourself 👏👏
Came to say the same thing! I was taught as a little 12 year old girl, and it's not chopping a whole tree lmaoo. Mostly just swing the axe down and aim your best
I have in fact seen a lot of parents oblivious to how their children are actual bullies. I don't think it's that far fetched. It's not like kids go home and tell their parents about it. My friend works with the mom of my childhood bully for example and she thinks her daughter was always a victim.
I think it's being oblivious mixed with them not wanting to believe that their child could do something wrong. All too often parents want to believe that their children are perfect because they view their children as reflections of themselves, so having a bad child makes them look like a bad person.
did you mean "go off the rails"? "jumped the shark" means the peak of a show or series or something. and after they jump the shark all the episodes/videos/books are worse.
Cleaning that hot chocolate is definitely not part of that girl’s work duties. They could have blamed her, but in Dhar Mann World, the mom would ask Carly and know something was up. I bet that cabin is decked out in Alexa/Google cameras
I'm not gonna lie it feels like this daughter should have had this conversation with her mom before springing it on her in front of Carly like... also how do you as a kid just GET an adoption form like this? LIke yeah I want my mom to adopt someone I'll just take these papers.
Me at the beginning: "Oh yeah, this is actually surprisingly normal considering it's a Dhar Mann video! This isn't too bad!" Me near the end: "Why did I watch this... what did I just watch?!"
When I’m lazy I’ll heat up water with kureg but if I’m using the stove I’m using milk 100% lol it stood out to me as weird that she boiled water for the hot chocolate
I have 3 adopted siblings, and you know how much work it is to even get approved to adopt? Like you have to do so many visits and legal papers to fill out, you can't be like ooo I want a kid and then pick some random one?
I absolutely love the logic of the daughter being the one to decide on the adoption, and then Carly just says “This is the best Christmas ever” before the mom even opens her mouth 😂 As if it’s as easy as just *shrugs* “You’re a Johnson now babbeeeeyyy”
Dhar Mann actors are currently on strike. Hope justice is served. I know we as subs of Jarvis are entertained by these videos, but I do hope these actors get justice.
@@spacecaek1665 Ok good. I only just started looking, but I really wanted to know if Jarvis was aware of the protest. I thought I’d be searching way longer lol
its literally the poolboy skit, almost beat for beat poor kid working at entitled rich kids house with nice mom rich kid wants expensive present rich kids get annoyed by leafblower/snowblower wont let the poor kid have pizza/cocoa rich kid doesnt want to put up lights/chop wood rich kids prank poor kid while they are putting up lights/chopping wood rich kid says they are rich and will never do manual labor rich kid now has to do work if they want their ps5/iphone
To add to that: poor kid's parents died in an accident (Just that in the pool boy one he had just lost his parents and had a grandma to still watch over him so his bully didn't get the "opportunity" to adopt him lol)
i just watched the pool boy video earlier today and the similarities KILL me. spilling the hot cocoa & dropping the pizza in the pool, the same “my back hurts blah blah,” kid getting gifts for a sibling, kid being an orphan from the parents dying in a car accident, like this is basically the same video. even the dialogue is near identical at certain points
It's crazy to think, watching these now, how much Dahr Mann Studios mistreats and underpays its actors. Really just makes me want to support these actors more and recognize that they shouldn't be made fun of for being in these cliche videos, where as they re just trying their best and just trying to make a living through a passion of acting.
There's something kinda icky about the way they adopted her, like it was equivalent to just getting a pet. I don't know how the process works but like?? It's a little weird isn't it? ?? She knew that she was going to another family, she was prepared to move, she packed and everything, then all of the sudden the girl that was treating her like trash suddenly pities her and tells her that she's actually gonna be staying with them.
the bully just deciding to adopt her made me laugh so hard like i thought the mom would do it herself or at the very least mention in passing she wanted to but no. imagine your daughter just decides to adopt someone for you 😭
Her gifting adoption papers in front of the foster kid is like asking your parents if your friend can sleepover, with your friend standing right there You just don’t do it lol
i will say, some parents don't realize they've spoiled their children until it's too late. i had an aunt confess once how worried she was about her 6 year olds because they were so unbearably entitled after covid lockdown
The state of her hosiery reminded me that in high school, my best friend got in my car with me right before I noticed a run in my hose. She thought that I was shouting “RUN, HOES!” in the parking lot 😂
I really wana see what dhar man would have been like in the early 2000’s “Sorry I was too busy listening to LMFAO’s party rock anthem. What you know lmfao too!? Party rock is in the house tonight Oh sorry, I’m saving up for my club penguin ‘membership My daughter is so spoiled, she already has the new razor 4”
Firewood is actually really easy to do, though usually you chop it BEFORE winter so you don’t have to do it in the cold. My grandparents would always just get the wood delivered and if the pieces were too big theres a machine you can put them in to cut it (hydraulic press style, but with a blade). It’s all part of modern luxuries ;)
9:11 from personal experience, all of the rich friends I’ve had have been notoriously stingy while friends that match my tax bracket (damn near poverty level) have always been the most open to sharing. I’m guessing it has something to do with knowing how important sharing with your community is when you’re struggling- something the rich don’t have to endure.

And I thought people bringing home a puppy from their vacation were wild... these two brought home a whole human being!
the mom has like rlly good acting skills tbh
I have in fact seen a lot of parents oblivious to how their children are actual bullies. I don't think it's that far fetched. It's not like kids go home and tell their parents about it. My friend works with the mom of my childhood bully for example and she thinks her daughter was always a victim.
I think it's being oblivious mixed with them not wanting to believe that their child could do something wrong. All too often parents want to believe that their children are perfect because they view their children as reflections of themselves, so having a bad child makes them look like a bad person.
Jarvis being excited every time there’s a dhar Mann voiceover Lmaoo 😂
How do these parents have good ethics but are unable to impart it to their children?
Ngl Jan’s actor is slaying the line delivery alongside facial expressions.
2:43 Her offering to make hot chocolate with water is the real crime
You don’t use any water in your hot chocolate?
@@rachelcookie321 I use milk, only right way to do it.
I use both. All milk is too much and hot water tastes awful
This child adopted a kid for her mom! They really jumped the fucking shark with this one
did you mean "go off the rails"? "jumped the shark" means the peak of a show or series or something. and after they jump the shark all the episodes/videos/books are worse.
@@dottyContrarian no I meant jumped the shark. It was already off the rails
@@demitriussmith741 i see.
She was adopting the help so her mom never asks her to do anything
This isn't too bad!"
Me near the end: "Why did I watch this... what did I just watch?!"
“Why aren’t you adopted yet” is a wild question 😭
2:47 I need there to be more media where "you and your girlfriends" are surprise polyamory
Her mother made that hot chocolate with water…she can keep it 😂
When I’m lazy I’ll heat up water with kureg but if I’m using the stove I’m using milk 100% lol it stood out to me as weird that she boiled water for the hot chocolate
@@StarBoundAngel yep I also use a kureg but I add some milk to the water.
I have 3 adopted siblings, and you know how much work it is to even get approved to adopt? Like you have to do so many visits and legal papers to fill out, you can't be like ooo I want a kid and then pick some random one?
Ahh, nothing like a new episode of Dhar Mann Bingo to start off the weekend right
nice Sissel profile pic. Love Ghost Trick
I absolutely love the logic of the daughter being the one to decide on the adoption, and then Carly just says “This is the best Christmas ever” before the mom even opens her mouth 😂
As if it’s as easy as just *shrugs* “You’re a Johnson now babbeeeeyyy”
Dhar Mann actors are currently on strike. Hope justice is served. I know we as subs of Jarvis are entertained by these videos, but I do hope these actors get justice.
for what its worth, jarvis did say in another video he would put dhar mann bingo on hiatus and lean into supporting the actors x
@@spacecaek1665 Ok good. I only just started looking, but I really wanted to know if Jarvis was aware of the protest. I thought I’d be searching way longer lol
its literally the poolboy skit, almost beat for beat
poor kid working at entitled rich kids house with nice mom
rich kid wants expensive present
rich kids get annoyed by leafblower/snowblower
wont let the poor kid have pizza/cocoa
rich kid doesnt want to put up lights/chop wood
rich kids prank poor kid while they are putting up lights/chopping wood
rich kid says they are rich and will never do manual labor
rich kid now has to do work if they want their ps5/iphone
Dhar Mann has been out of ideas for a while so he's mostly been reusing scripts or making "sequels" to old videos.
To add to that: poor kid's parents died in an accident
(Just that in the pool boy one he had just lost his parents and had a grandma to still watch over him so his bully didn't get the "opportunity" to adopt him lol)
Some of this was almost word for word the same as the Pool Boy one that’s crazy
Nahh Jarvis, you will save us all in the apocalypse with your comically large Computer Science degree.
i just watched the pool boy video earlier today and the similarities KILL me. spilling the hot cocoa & dropping the pizza in the pool, the same “my back hurts blah blah,” kid getting gifts for a sibling, kid being an orphan from the parents dying in a car accident, like this is basically the same video. even the dialogue is near identical at certain points
Did this child just invite her mother to adopt someone else ?? didn’t ask her, didn’t discuss it, didn’t … none of that
It's crazy to think, watching these now, how much Dahr Mann Studios mistreats and underpays its actors. Really just makes me want to support these actors more and recognize that they shouldn't be made fun of for being in these cliche videos, where as they re just trying their best and just trying to make a living through a passion of acting.
BABE WAKE UP NEW DHAR MANN BINGO DROPPED
they really just remade the pool boy video but gender swapped it and thought we wouldn’t notice
I feel like “‘not that YOU would know anything about that’ said about a common topic” should be a space in Bingo lolll
As a former foster child Yes 😭 those are both horrible questions to ask without knowing a person
the bully just deciding to adopt her made me laugh so hard like i thought the mom would do it herself or at the very least mention in passing she wanted to but no. imagine your daughter just decides to adopt someone for you 😭
Her gifting adoption papers in front of the foster kid is like asking your parents if your friend can sleepover, with your friend standing right there
You just don’t do it lol
One of the biggest crimes in this video was the mom saying she's making hot chocolate with WATER
i watched the pool boy bingo right before this one and it's literally the exact same story with different actors. almost verbatim lol
This is literally the pool boy video 😭😭 every line and story beat
Jarvis Dhar videos are like 80 percent my life's happiness.
i will say, some parents don't realize they've spoiled their children until it's too late. i had an aunt confess once how worried she was about her 6 year olds because they were so unbearably entitled after covid lockdown
The state of her hosiery reminded me that in high school, my best friend got in my car with me right before I noticed a run in my hose. She thought that I was shouting “RUN, HOES!” in the parking lot 😂
I really wana see what dhar man would have been like in the early 2000’s
“Sorry I was too busy listening to LMFAO’s party rock anthem.
What you know lmfao too!?
Party rock is in the house tonight
Oh sorry, I’m saving up for my club penguin ‘membership
My daughter is so spoiled, she already has the new razor 4”
Jarvis's Dhar Mann voice is just... Perfect.
I’m guessing it has something to do with knowing how important sharing with your community is when you’re struggling- something the rich don’t have to endure.
looks like the last dhar man bingo, given everything
