I love watching movies where I can see ideas on how to organize myself for various activities. When I went to class, I took a huge bag with me and I had all the paints and brushes in it, as if it would help me to paint better, hi hi. Now the organization of a minimalist workshop that is at hand has become my passion :))) Thank you for the hints! best regards from Poland!
I used to pack so much when I went to art school too! The more you have the more complicated painting is. I am trying to learn how to simplify things. I’m happy to hear you found this helpful! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I love using the guitar pick to scratch out paint and highlights. Works better than a plastic card (in my opinion) because it’s smooth around the edges.
More good sense and some useful ideas from Kimberly - thank you. I get the impression that - like me - you are a 'bag-oholic'. Thanks for another good video. Best wishes -Paul in the UK
Yes, I am! I have so many different bags and sketch kits for different purposes. I spend all my extra money on art supplies! I might have a problem. Best wishes to you!
Thank you! Sheets do come in those bags too. Those kind of bags are so useful for holding art supplies. I must have forgotten to mention to include some paper towels or rags. A paper towel or rag is very important when painting with watercolor.
Thank you! I couldn’t bring myself to toss those zippered bags out either! I knew I would find a use for them someday. The cardboard that came in the bag to wrap the curtains around was also used to make a few art boards that I could tape down watercolor paper on. And they fit perfectly in the bag! All I do to make them waterproof is wrap them with clear packing tape. It works great!
I do something similar. But I clip my board to the back cover of my sketchbook. I make sure that the ‘handles’ of the clip are outside the paper. That way, i don’t have my page curved up over something as I paint. Especially with watercolors and get unwanted dribbles.
Hi Debrah and welcome to my channel! Thank you! I think I got this lunch bag at Marshalls Dept. Store about 10 years ago. I did a quick search to see if I could find this brand anywhere and I couldn't find it. The think I like about this kind of bag is the pockets on the outside that can hold a bottle of water. And I don't feel like this kind of bag looks out of place if you are in a park or out hiking in the woods. Just look for a cooler bag that's big enough to hold the size sketch book that you want to use. I did find something that looks similar to the on that I have on Amazon. Love your accent so much 😊 Love all your videos of these kits you create to consolidate your preferences 🙌
Thank you so much for saying that! I really appreciate you for watching!
Necessity is the mother of invention. Love your creative solutions!
Yes, I agree! I have always thought necessity is the author of invention! Great minds think a like! Thank you so much!

Enjoyed this. Sheets come in those kinds of bags, too. Only thing I noticed missing is a shop towel/paper towel /rag.

So clever to use the clear plastic bag from the curtains!! I’ve got one of those stashed somewhere and need to find it now :)

I love experimenting with different set ups! That’s a nice tip! 🙂
Hi Kimberly- Can you possibly find out the brand of the convertible waterbrush? I didn’t see it on JM Laws website.
Hello Carol. I just found it on Amazon. Here is a link for you. Kuretake Fude Water Brush Pen, Flat Type, 2 Heads (KG205-70) a.co/d/cXWzBCx
