- Here we go again with the man the myth the legend Dimash. This is the first official music video that I’ve watched of his and the cinematography and it is just unbelievable. All the actors in it are amazing and the song itself is incredible. The cinematography is awesome. Also, there’s just something about the way that he made this video that made me feel like I was in a movie theater checking out classic horror film from the 80s. The song itself has this 80s vibe synth vibe And that’s exactly what I love. Thank you so much for the support and love and comments. I’ve been getting it means the world. Much love to you all.

On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. I love it. I love it so much thank you for breaking down how that video got made. I bet the people that tried out for that role felt such an immense sense of astonishment just being in his presence and having the opportunity to audition for those parts. You can tell that the actors and actresses in it Were of top quality. They all played their part perfectly and he just blew the roof off with that song and video and his acting for that matter in the video. They all did such an amazing job and he has such an amazing presence and voice, and you can tell that he really really Cares about giving his all in everything that he does. He does seem like the type of guy that likes to keep to himself, but he probably has a personality that draws anybody in and he could probably get along with just about anybody. I know I would love to be friends with him. It is an honest mistake, so don't worry about those kinds of comments. A true Dimash "Dear" is always polite and loving as he is. His costume is spot on with he role play game Vampire Masquerade as a vampire Prince of the Ventrue clan. He did blend in elements of all popular vampire stories of our time. The song in the beginning and the end is the Flower duet from the opera Lakmé. And this specific recording is from 1915 and was sung by two Russian opera singers. He has many incredibly great music videos. The most of them are like mini-movies. And with that one he surprised us fans. Again. There he showed us a completely different side of himself. Not only is he a great (in my opinion the greatest) singer, but also an incredibly talented actor. He made a very convincing vampire. I love that. I love that genre a lot. I was so curious about this video and I think with that he has set the bar very high for his future music videos.
What a great song. A wide range again. Many of the reactors don’t realize it because it's not this obvious. Excellent riffs and runs. A really great guitar solo. I think he had a lot of fun playing the seducer. It is now one of my favorite music videos. The funny thing is that I said this in his other MVs too😅

Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills (like so many others). It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favorite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality...
Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is:
A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures.
Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing...
The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details.
As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone!
The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! Yeah, there is so much to say here in response to your comment. I don’t know if I’ll be able to cover everything but I am so in love with the talents, creativity and passion that went behind this video and the story that is told here. I think all the actors and actresses are, beyond great, and they are brilliantly portraying the rules that they are in. I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better official music video from him than this one to start off with. This one really sucks me in because I’m just so naturally drawn to this type of Story visually And it’s genre. there was definitely a masterful creator behind this or several masterful creators that’s created this exquisite piece of film because it’s not just the vocals at this point even though they are beyond measure it’s the whole encompassing factor of how amazing this entire story is told throughout difference aspects, including vocals, but also storytelling set design costume design acting the writing and so on. I’m just so blown away and I am in love with this song. I’m gonna buy it on iTunes for sure because it just so reminds me of the greatest horror soundtracks in the world like the lost boys soundtrack. Wish I could think of the Horror film that The flower Duet was used but it gave me a Bram Stoker feel because of the flat gramophone sound of the recording.

Now you really need to see The Story of One Sky. Serious video but a masterpiece. Also in English and composed by Dimash. You are going to hear him do so many different voices and styles during the story. He is an amazing actor. He did do a cover of Power Rangers when he was about 22.

@@ThetazordYes, it's better to hear other songs first until you know him better. Normally this song and especially the MV is not the best video for reactors who don't know Dimash that well. Even die-hard Dimash fans were left speechless by this video for a long time. The message that Dimash wants to convey in this video is very important for him and for us and I think also for today's world. But believe me when I tell you that focusing on both, the message and his voice, is incredibly difficult, if not impossible. The video is full of symbolism. No camera angle is unwanted, every scene has meaning and should be watched carefully to understand the video❤
That’s what I enjoy. The most, though is the combination of those two aspects as a independent actor I thrive on storytelling and lore and subtle symbolic meanings and philosophical ideas. I truly think that this was the best video I’ve seen in a very, very long time I love how it was shot like a film and I appreciate it so much because of that. Soy Española y por lo que pude leer en los subtítulos, creí entender que recibiste algún comentario feo, por usar la palabra "SMALL'...en algun comentario leí, que se hacia alusión a la palabra con un tono de "asombro" (lo expresaré así), me llamó mucho la atención, no entendía nada! 🤔 Así, que me puse a investigar un poco. Resultó ser un patrocinador.
Es una cadena de pequeños Supermercados llamados así, de Kazajistán (su amado país).
Realmente, no explica nada de si hubo negociación, o no. Pero ante todo, promociona, y/o ayuda todo con lo que sea de su tierra.
En el vídeo el representa un cantante famoso, y algo oscuro, triste, que nunca da entrevistas a ningun periodista.
El sabía de ella, y decidió concederle una.
Ella lo admiraba, le gustaba, pero le producía temor y curiosidad a la vez...porqué ella??.
Él, le envía su gran coche a recogerla.
Está temerosa, impresionada, e incrédula, por ser la elegida para para esa única entrevista.
Ocurre, que en trayecto ella se duerme, y sueña todo lo que vemos en el vídeo...como te habras dado cuenta, él no tiene "colmillos" de Vampiro...las mujeres si, (creo que en sus sueños las ve como rivales).
Al llegar y despertar, se siente aliviada...era un sueño terrorífico, en el que ella intenta salvarle, sacarle de ese mundo oscuro (creo que de ahí, las puertas azules, y rojas de neón.
Lo que no puedo comentarte es el desenlace, que lo debe aclarar el titular del periódico.
Es una toma muy corta, y para mí pesar, no se inglés.! 😢
