I am planning on getting one. I do auto detailing as side job/ hobby. When I go to someone's house, a lot of time is spent on set up and clean up. With a water tank I will be able to wash in middle of a parking lot if need be. I normally use electric pressure washer. I got the standard low end Ego push mower and it still going strong three years later. I like that the only maintenance is just charging batteries. You can use most pressure washers to wash cars just use either 25 or 40 degree nozzles, unless the paint is starting to peel. Using foam cannons, look for dilution ratios. Not following dilution ratios leads to wasted product.
@@luk2965 I have a Ram 2500 four door with a 6 ft bed. I did buy 12 amp hour batteries, because I do own larger vehicles. But I imagine the 6s will do at least two cars before a charge. You are not running a pressure washer the full wash process. I do have a couple electrics that perform a little better performance wise. I just like the convenience of having to not drag out an extension cord. If you are willing to invest in the 12s or 6s and buy the kit and an extra charger. I think you will be pleased with it. Ego batteries tend to charge in a reasonably amount of time. I do recommend getting a longer hose, it don't take long for a 35 ft hose to run out, when washing a car. If the price is too much, I would get an Active 2.0 if all you want is something to wash a car. The Active is electric. Nice thing about the Ego, is Ego does have other lawn equipment. Batteries may be pricey, but they are not just limited to one item.
Good build quality, 5A batteries really good, no problem Had this item just over 1 week, used it to clean several cars, the batteries have not needed recharging. Fantastic build quality, I would recommend this; I work as a professional car valet and I need something reliable and effective. Early days but absolutely brilliant so far. You should buy the right tool for the job. If you're cleaning a huge area of drive or a really lengthy job, don't buy a cordless! This is fantastic if used for the correct work and is a great tool.
Finally an electric/ battery powered pressure washer that's 3000+ PSI. Finding a battery or plug in pressure washer that's at least 3000 psi is like a needle in a haystack, the only thing I think I would add is a 0 degree nozzle. I love that a foam cannon is included.
nozzles are cheap, most are 5 - 10 bucks at any place that sells pressure washers. if you have a Northern Tool, they have a variety in different orifice sizes. The turbo nozzles is pretty much a zero degree that rotates.
My wife contacted eGo a little over a year ago asking if they had plans to make a power-washer. They said it had entered R&D at the time and now here we have it! Yay! Very cool. Thanks for posting this review. Will be adding one to my outdoor tool-kit soon. On a completely different topic, I really like the layout of your workshop. I've been stalling doing something similar in the basement.
Used the EGO PW on our home’s gable to remove bird 💩 and clean the lanai, front porch and driveway. Next week will use soap gun to clean car. Love it! Worth every penny.
I think this thing looks great! I only use a pressure washer to wash my cars once a week and maybe clean some patio furniture. The portability is great and if you already have other Ego products the batteries will be interchangeable. I bought the Active 2.0 when it came out, so I can’t justify buying another right now.
Looks good and performs good is two different things. Eletric has always been clunky when it comes to pressure washers. The psi is good, but the gpms could be higher imo. Though its not terrible for eletric. Looked like it struggled with pressure for a bit, maybe a priming delay who knows. Ill buy one in a year if they dont end up being junky. Let others test it out first on this one.
Only 4.5 metric litres per minute! I have to say I expected more from Ego. I already have a number of their OPE products and am suitably impressed. Years ago I did water blasting and steam cleaning for 7 years and quickly learned that it's not the pressure that removes stuff, it's the volume. Well, obviously press helps but according to the laws of hydraulics, pressure is only a resistance to flow. Basically pressure means nothing UNLESS you can back it up with volume also.
Got 2 of the chain saws(EGO) and love them. As good as my 40cc echo and sthil. But now I got to have this one my PW IS A CORDED electrical so limited to cord length. And this looks way more powerful than mine. Thanks for the review and demo. Love any excuse to get a better tool.
Looks good, what I like to see is the attachment to spray underneath a truck to rinse off road salt, I looked how much it costs here in Toronto, Ontario 599.99 bare tool , 999.99 with two 6ah batteries yikes
Sure not going to hurt a vehicle by using electric or battery pressure washer. That 1.2 gpm is about 4 gpm less than you get from a hose hooked to your hose bib. Basically that's all there good for is washing cars n trucks.
Wish companies would start adding the option to plug in battery operated wet dry vacs, pressure washers, air compressors etc. DeWalt does it with one of their compressors not sure of any others
I bought a cordless 18 volt hikoki pressure washer for rendering. It works fine although now I have issues. I bought a new gun as it kept runnning. Now I think there is dirt in the bottom section. Hopefully its an easy fix. I need a new stronger pressure washer as the one I bought stopped working. Cordless with be what I want to get. These ego looks good.
Would you say that's a consumer, prosumer or commercial grade pw? Judging by that hose and how contained it is (does not look at all user serviceable) I'd say more on the consumer end. I like how quiet it is for sure. If Ego came out with a UTV like Greenworks has, I'd seriously consider exploring a new ecosystem.
Don’t suggest you pressure wash your vehicles? It’s why we buy them. No way you’ll damage your paint with this. Probably at 1000 psi and 1.6 GPM with the 25 or 40 degree nozzles.
Every battery powered tool should have a male access point to run an everyday extension cord. ALL OF THEM. With an exception for angle grinders. God intended those to be cord-free.
I thought the same thing, they could have added a male access point for use with no batteries, or build it with a rapid charger integrated into the pressure washer to charge the batteries while it was plugged into the AC access point.
If it's anything like my other EGO products, it maintains full power until batteries get to a certain low level. I have a snow blower, lawnmower, leaf blower, chainsaw, and trimmer. The tools don't get slower as the batteries drain. I live in Maine and my snow blower ran full power until the batteries got to the red power level (usually right when I was done since I have a large driveway).
Wow, the power of this "power washer" appears to be very weak. It appears that if you put a pressure nozzle on your hose, you get about the same effect. If I am going to buy a pressure washer I want one that will cut bricks in two on its highest setting. It makes no sense to purchase a power washer this weak.
@@MattDapson I think I do if a person needs a powerwasher strong enough to cut embedded grease in my garage floor. I think I have a pretty good understanding of what this pressure washer will and will not do.
There’s good and bad with everything. With that being said, I needed a carb rebuild kit for Yamaha generator/inverter. Not only could I not get a rebuild kit, they insisted on selling me the whole carb and on top of that I needed to wait 4 months. It ain’t the old days chief, thanks for watching!
Gas emissions all over me????😂 No, those were emitted at the coal plant generating the electricity you used to charge the batteries made with 100% Chinesium materials….. deferred emissions.
What a joke.if you have any real pressure washing to do use a gas one.idk why this guy is scared of gas equipment. as a 25 yr landscaper, most gas equipment will run most of the time as long as you follow the basic maintenance and care.there are plenty of gas lawn mowers, pressure washers etc. That will run without issues for hundreds of commercial hours.the electric stuff will Be landfill fodder long before that.
All these gas junkies, I like either an electric or the battery version. When you pause or stop to move something, it shuts off !!! Gas is an annoyingly loud constantly running. No brake on the noise !!!
funny how they write big 3200psi but GPM is almost invisible. :))) astonishing how people can be brainwashed by marketing and not understand what makes a pressure washer good, ohh and let's not forget when i comes to repairs that it takes a minimum of 3 weeks and there's no market for spare parts like they do for gas ones so you can fix it yourself

How many extra batteries do u think is need it to wash a few cars ? Cause I believe u can only get a out about 30 min from a single charge
