  • Great weekend for Red Dirt Overland Weekend. We camped out at Cedar Valley Reservoir just a few miles from Garnett Ks Saturday night. Went into Garnett Saturday to attend Cornstock a annual music festival. Sunday we made our way down to Mapleton Ks to meet up with friends for a day of wheeling at Kansas Rocks Recreation Park. It had rained 3 inches there Saturday night so we need things may be a little sloppy. Trails were extremely slick and rocks had almost zero traction due to being wet. We did finish both of the new Jeep Badge of Honor trails. Rattlesnake Alley it winds down a wooded and rocky creek bed with a few challenging hill climbs. C2 is a little more difficult uphill trail up a ravine filled with very challenging off shoots. The main trail is only about a quarter mile long but is not that tough of a trail. Kansas Rocks did claim a few victims of damage, we had a exploded driveshaft, sidewall slit, broken taillight and dented rear tailgate and a few other dings and dents.
