That last Azimut looks like it's a V drive. They wallow like that at lower speeds. I saw another video of the 116 footer, that made it look much worse than it did in this video. Must've been that drone pilot's video. But it looked like it would be okay. The captain commented that he didn't like going out in that, but those must've been bigger than 4-6 feet, because a 116 foot boat shouldn't even be bothered by 4-6 foot waves. There's a video of an MJM 40z just playing in 6-8 foot waves. I'm betting the waves were a little closer to that. I've been in 6 foot waves in an 18 foot Lyman. Rough, but doable.
Dumb question: Does the Azimut 116 need to feather the throttle on it's way back in with those huge waves like the smaller boats do between swells? Or, just pick a reasonable speed and send it?
I think that big Azumit was just doing a little rough water training..these people know what the conditions are before the head out..Others are just stupid.
That stuff doesn’t weigh that much. Towers are purposely built light, mostly aluminum, to keep the weight down. Those old Rybovitch’s are tough boats, but that comes at the cost of a pretty heavy roll just due to their hull design. The new ones are a lot better.
It would, but it's not worth the money for a retrofit, especially on a work boat. They would have to do a lot of fishing to pay for it, and they're gonna get customers anyway, without it. So why waste the money? Although, I'm betting most new buyers, it will be a must have.
The extremely irritating thing is seeing a DRONE tailing the boats everywhere! If I were a boat-owner I'd destroy the drone by whichever means necessary to protect my own and my family's privacy. The drones I see in the shots are very intrusive and would not be tolerated - without express boat-owners' permission - where I live!
The Formula 350 nailed it...but looked like different conditions. Different day perhaps? Those Azimut boats are the ugliest boats around. I'm sure they are nice inside and may be a decent vessel but they look like they were designed by an ex Carver design team. Should rename them Assmutt.
Relaxing vid. Windy day, no drone shots scattering the vibe
i used to watch these videos alot, i moved away from the coast and sold the boat but im kinda revisiting this stuff.
Thanks ZipZap!

A little more throttle should correct the bow from drifting.
Love to see them "surfing" on the way in,
Agreed - very cool looking
The 116 footer has a bow built for perfect conditions.
cool!
Nice

Where do this captains get the license
License ????? WE don't need no stinking license !!
The Azimuts and Rivas look really bad at handling rough seas, even this 116'
is it me or does this Azimut boat feature in all your rough water videos? The owner must like beating his boat about.
ha, he might be.
Would a gyro stabilizer help Therapy IV with all the top heavy tall equipment up high.
Unfortunately the only remedy is even MORE Therapy

@@robdog1245 Got it thank you.
@@mkp3824 The Seakeeper is big money. Thank you.
Re-hash of same boats from a few days ago...except from land.

👍👍👍😎
Stop showing the same boats as every one else. Are you copying them. Your videos are after others. Wake up.
