That is the best I’ve ever seen you swing Liam, I recently have started using the back of the green number less 5, take one more club and swing smooth, the difference in ball strike is amazing. Like Simon Edwards always says “effortless power, always trumps, powerful effort”. If you had put a swing on your drive at 18 the same as you did all the way round you would have flushed it and been in the aye-diddle-diddle and been able to possibly pop it on for 2!!!!

This is what we love about Liam and the channel. He has the attention span of a house fly 😀. This is the 2nd or third time using this method in a video and he plays well and says he will continue this is the future. But like all his training videos where he gets great tips he is back to his old self by the next video.

No matter what the score Liam, I just enjoy watching you play. At the end of the day, it is hard to change your swing. Also reading greens anywhere is so hard, but that is golf. So frustrating but so enjoyable.

I've tried to start using this more in my game also. Playing for the back distance and utilizing the red light system. Helped a ton. Shotscope, I want your watch!
Playing to the back half of the green certainly looks to be a beneficial strategy. All Liam needs now is a green-reading lesson. 😆

Well played sir, great nine holes. I believe the mistake most of us make is we evaluate our shot based on our best effort with that club and not the average distance, going for the back gives that little bit of leeway. Just wish I could take my own advice haha.

I've just subscribed Liam purely because of this video. what a fantastic thought process and one I can't wait to try. we always look at the pin and under hit it as you said. we need to give ourselves half a chance. we're not professionals putting the ball on a 2 pence piece, we need a larger target and the back of the green makes sense....brilliant Liam, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos.....FYI the watch makes more sense to me than a scope based on this...Thank you
Another class video Liam. I tend to agree with what you are saying, from my experience if I aim slightly long and think "just swing smooth" I seem to almost always stike the ball well as a result. As soon as I try to overhit a club it tends to end badly quite regularly. Entertainment, banter and coaching......this channel has it all! Oh and I want your watch 🤣

Absolutely brilliant, I am in the 64% normally short in the bunker, always think I can hit longer than what actually happens. Great advice will put it to the test.
Absolute stellar round(half) . There will still be some shots that you don’t want to take a chance on hitting it long but for the most part that worked great 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"I want your watch." Great video Liam, and I don't think I've ever seen you play better golf. I think the heart of the matter is always swing well within yourself, which you did on all but the last hole. Play like that all the time and you will have to find some better opponents as you wil be murdering your usual golf mates. Just wish I was half as good.

This concept works very well. Started doing it when I was getting back in the game after a 10 year break. Started with "back of the green" distances but found as I improved I started over-shooting many greens or leaving myself very long putts on front pin positions. My distance now is halfway between middle and back. Still OK for a mishit short and still OK for a long shot. Brought my scores down from high 90's to low to mid 80s in 2 months, with a few 70s thrown in.

First time watching the channel Liam and I really enjoyed it!! I checked my Arccos data after watching, and apparently when I miss a green, 67% of the time it is a short miss! I’m going to give this a go!!

I love these type of instruction videos. its so important on most approach shots to go for distance to back of green. many catch their ball a little fat and so still have a chance of getting on the front of the green.Iif taking middle of green distance many end up short of green, duff a chip and run and end with a 6 on a par 4. going back of green distance means a good chance of par, or bogey at worst.
As Sir Nick Faldo once said ,"course management is 90% of the game, the other 10% is the easy part"
