    man u should put some iron rebar for reinforcement, like u put in foundations, those holes on the corner are for that

      Thankyou for comment! I believe you are totally right, my brother told me the same. According chimney producer specification, I do not need reinforcement, for my size chimney, but... I will check.

    Great looking chimney but where is the hole for the stove pipe??

      That is benefit of this chimney, I can drill holes in any block where I wish during all life.

    That’s a slick chimney system! Masonry chimneys in new construction are a dying breed here in the states. Everyone is using stainless steel pipe now, and I hate it! Don’t ask me why, but I’ve always loved a real masonry chimney! Have you hooked your stove up to it yet??

      Just temporary Jotul, in a basement floor, in my last video ruclips.net/video/u5RNlof0DG4/видео.html at 6:45 you can see it. But any day I will install new stove, already bought. Will do new video soon!

    You need stone wool insulation due to fire protection according EU norms around chimney near wooden roof beams not for fixing chimney. You should fix chimney with steel fixtures for roof beams. Also you did not build in holes on edges of chimney blocks any steel reinforcing rods that should end in the foundation of chimney so when earthquake will happen this chimney will collapse at least until the level of the roof.

    • @Dream4Design
      @Dream4Design  3 года назад

      Yes, you are right! I think I can fix steel in edges of chimney blocks, some last 8 feet on top.

    anchorage rods. why were not installed?

    • @Dream4Design
      @Dream4Design  2 года назад

      Chimney is very short, anchor not necessary.

    The only fun part about the chimney is tearing it down also dont you need a pipe inside those blocks?

    • @Dream4Design
      @Dream4Design  4 года назад +1

      Schiedel Isokern, I do not need install additional pipe inside (but I must have hot smoke from oven, 150 degrees or more), for Schiedel Rondo Plus, there is coming pipe inside, and smoke can be cold.

    What type of chimney block is that?

    • @Dream4Design
      @Dream4Design  Год назад +1

      schiedel.com (Monier roof tiles, Glava, Isover, Schiedel, ... and many other companies, they have one owner) in your country could be different name.

    dont you have to insulate the entire chimney expesially in attic?

    • @Dream4Design
      @Dream4Design  5 месяцев назад

      it is already insulated, kind of. Block have two layers, inside and outside. Air inside. Technically it is insulated.

    Umm... No thimble to install stove pipe?
    No roof flashing?
    No wonder it went up in a day.

    • @Dream4Design
      @Dream4Design  3 года назад

      I can drill holes for stove pipe where I need during all live, or close it. Roof flashing separate task, have not made it jet.
