  • In this video, I'll share with you my experience of working at Microsoft for the past 3 years!
    A small disclaimer:
    I'm talking specifically about my experience. If you work at Microsoft or want to work at Microsoft, your experience will probably differ.

    Health insurance for employees is pathetic! They charge employees for the premium and don't even reimburse the expenses! It's a scam!

    Thanks for the video! I'm just curious, any chance to hear what are your job responsibilities or maybe the domain you are working on at Microsoft? Or is it a part of NDA or smth?

      I should be able to talk about public products and the non-proprietary tech we use. If there is interest, then I’d be happy to share 🤙🏼

    I have to say that my impression is that these companies want the employees to be internally focused. Develop a career, get promoted, based on perception not true added value. And they all have an agenda, which is usually lightyears away from what clients would need.

    Hi Amichai, can you talk about the recruitment+interview process? How to get ready, what helped you out etc.? Did you have to know leetcode type questions for it?

    • @amantinband
      @amantinband  Год назад +1

      Many resources are available on the topic, and the process differs between teams/geographies, so I don't think I'll make a dedicated video. Is there a specific subject for which you think resources are missing?

      Unlikely. I would suggest explicitly defining with your manager what you need to do to match expectations

    Microsoft is shit!!!! There is no debate. I have owned 5 Microsoft computers and the problems are endless. Owned two Mac books over 15 years and not a single problem!

    Do you feel you gained enough knowledge to create your own company/startup? And if so, do you think you'l be using Microsoft stack?

    • @amantinband
      @amantinband  Год назад +2

      I do feel confident I could build enterprise-level software that is compliant, secure, monitored, etc.’ with the knowledge I've gained. That said, I don't think I'm the right person for non-engineering responsibilities that are part of running a company. Microsoft stack? Hmm, depends on the product.

    Turns out overly paid and underworked employees are one of the reasons Microsoft products are absolutely awful
