- Today we are starting our Fall cooking even though it's gonna be 90° today. I'm getting in the cozy feels.
Monterey Sausage Casserole
1 lb sausage
1 c chopped onions
1c chopped red sweet pepper
1/2 chopped mushrooms
2 1/2 c shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
3/4 c bisquick
1 1/3 cup milk
3 eggs
3/4 tsp rubbed sage
1/4 tsp black pepper
garlic powder to taste
Assemble per video instructions.
Bake in a preheated 400° oven for 25 minutes, top with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and bake for another 2 minutes.

I think I watch cooking shows for the company of a friend's voice that's sharing in many ways along with the food. This recipe seems amazing. Be blessed, you and yours.
I love how easily this can be adjusted with what you have on hand. I'm making this tonight with some andouille I need to use up instead of the breakfast sausage, and I bet it'll be just as good!

Well I made the casserole but I use chicken and didn't put the peppers and mushrooms in it and I used pepper jack cheese. Oh boy was that good😊 family Loved it❤

Hey Leslie, if you spray your meat chopper with nonstick spray, the meat won't stick to it.
Had pretty much the same thing for breakfast this morning minus the shrooms😝 & Bisquick. I keep frozen onions & peppers on hand for just this purpose. Used bacon today instead of sausage but still delish.😋
