What a sick way to make a living, out on the deep blue catching fish making some coin and hanging with the lads. I'm sure it's not all peaches and sunshine and is hard yakka but what a way to live ey. Cheers for another quality upload TK, tight lines 🤙🤙
Tough way to make a buck! Respect
Cheers mate
Love your videos! I think it would be cool to see a day in the life of a crew member. The behind the scenes kinda stuff like what goes on in the kitchen and what they do when they're not fishing.
I Ike how the captain encourages the crew.
Always appreciate your sharing mate and I’m drooling over the feed going to market cheers
Cheers mate
Another good one, thanks again TK 👍🏾

Tk mate by watching the video your crew is a welled oiled machine they all know what’s going on and each others job in case something happens smart not like the Grand Banks boats a circus
Love watching the content TK!
If it's worth your time and if you'd be willing, I'd love to see a vid that gives a beginning to end run down of a trip. If it's something you'd consider maybe ask the followers if they'd be keen?
(I understand this is work for you guys though, not RUclips fun) either way love the vids, keep em coming mate.
Good idea mate
17:48 wow looks like a barracuda. Thought an escolar was the oilfish?
Well organized boat and very clean deck. What are the circular holes on the side of the fish?
The circular hole's a bites from cookie cutter sharks
I shared this with all charter fishermen in Aruba.
How the big boys do it.....
Ty & Tc.
Cheers mate
Fucking love the vids mate keep it up
Cheers bro
Curious about the mainline: rated capacity, length, but mostly the process around the end of the set, is all the line ran off the spool? Presuming the line is not cut to length each set.
We just run the line out and when we get to the end we just cut it, tie a loop knot on the end and attach the Blue Ocean Gear GPS bouy's to it. When we reconnect we tie a blood knot to reconnect the mainline. Our mainline is 3.5mm mono
Why did the yellowfin get put in a plastic bag before going into the brine?
We hang the fish vertically, the bags stop the belly skin from rubbing off
whats a decky worth these days that has 5 yrs exp
What would cause gear to sink????
There are various causes for it, a main one being current. If you set your gear directly into a current the gear can collapse upon itself and the current can drag it down into the depths, once a section starts to get dragged down it creates more drag and will pull the whole line down, never to be seen again. Another cause I have had in the past is a couple of large swordfish close together will drag the gear down and again, once the current gets a hold of it the drag will pull it down. In the Southern Bluefin fishery in Southern New South Wales the shear volume of fish will drag the gear down so we tend to shoot very small lines and haul the gear again soon after setting before it all gets dragged down.
How can I contact you regarding questions?
You can email me at tk@tkoffshore.com
You allowed to sell the bycatch ?
Yes, all fish landed is under strict quota's
Second bloke on the left - slip, slop and slap for your kid's sake. Even that term is outdated - get a long sleeve shirt at least. Please mate.
