Its a Sony Handycam HDR-CX100 with a x0.7 wide end conversion lens. The cam can take some amazing shots when it gets enough light. It's kinda noisy in the dark. I also like to use Magic Bullet filters and effects sometimes to give it a bit more of a professional look.

It's a huge collection of people milling around, some in costume like the fursuits filmed here, some in headband ears and tails, some wearing just a con badge. You'll never experience the same con twice, each experience is different. What's really popular at furry cons are dance parties so you'll see people in fursuits dancing and raving (no drugs , don't worry). There's always dealer's den where people sell art, cartoons, DVDs, and miscellaneous fun stuff.

Oh yes. ^w^ It all depends on what type of suit your making though. Personally, I've made a quadsuit and two partials, and my quadsuit came out the best. But you set your own limits, and you will learn what your good at. :3 Oh, and DO NOT try to craft your fursona! It will never look exactly how you want it to and you will be disapointed.
