Easily my favourite song from the new album. I can only begin to imagine what this would sound like with Rob's "Halford-era" vocals. Not very metal I know, but try listening to Battlecry on an ipod whilst in a supermarket. Every purchase of milk or eggs feels like a decisive metal strike for glory. Also, Dragonaut is amazing if you have a long uphill climb on your journey somewhere. Certainly helped me make my dentist appointment on time.
Those are some great ones. I have to throw in Turbo Lover, Devil's Child, Dragonaut, Secrets of the Dead, Firepower, Desert Plains, Angel, Worth Fighting For, Prophecy, Fever, All Guns Blazing ... I could go on for another 20 songs!
I totally agree with you. There's so much feeling of Rob's voice in this song, but also every other song on Redeemer of Souls. I've never felt that much emotion in a whole album before. Definitely my favorite album of ANY band so far!
This is a very great album, but I think that is in the number 4 of Judas Priest's greatest, after Painkiller, Angel of Retribution, and Nostradamus. I don't know why some people criticize this master piece!
+Collin Lee I want this tune in the next Brutal Legend. Blood soaks the ground as you surround your twisted demonic enemies in a whirlwind of banging heads, creating a heavy metal moshpit of death!
Once a Metal Head, Always a Metal Head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Loved Judas Priest back in the 70's, 80's, 90,s etc. This New Work is Phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long Live, Judas Priest!
Battle Cry By Judas Priest Hail the hero coming home Honor bound from whence he roamed Fortitude and skill Call of duty all alone Lead the nation for the crown Serve the orders coming down Charge ahead with pride Guard the chivalry you've shown Those forsaken reawakened with my battle cry Indestructible by choice Valor rings out with the voice Rail the consequence Destiny's the flag you hoist Your endeavor lives forever with my battle cry Battle cry Death defy Battle cry Never die Cast this sorrow to the wind Let tomorrow be the light you're made to herald in Like a master of the seven seas Your reputation's grown This eternal flame's been sown Praise for sacrifice that's done Well deserved you carried on Let your hearts be full For those heroes every one Restitution absolution with my battle cry Exoneration condemnation with my battle cry Battle cry Death defy Battle cry Battle cry
The best song of the album. Just great, masterpriece! They should include this song on the tour 50th anniversary celebration. Also other songs like Reckless, Hard as Iron and Cathedral Spiers or Bullet Trrain.
This band has a very unique quality of surpassing themselves: 1. Redeemer of souls: Great song. 2. Halls of Valhalla: Excelent song! 3. THIS ONE: The final boss of the best First-Person Shooter that comes up off the top of your head right now!! ABSOLUTELY BADASS SONG!!
@@pedrotrejo8118 Some of the songs sound okay with this production (especially the title track), but I think on this song in particular the production doesn't do it justice...especially during that epic/climactic sounding part following the main solo, the background rhythm guitar sounds like a weak demo track which takes away from the emotional impact that part could've potentially had with a stronger production.
I love this fucking band! My all-time favorite Band ever!!! They have gotten me through some though times…looking forward to seeing them in concert whenever they are able to get back in concert.
Awesome song. True music genius what he is able to do with his voice. His range has limitations in his older age, and but he still sings n harmony, using vocal trickery only a True Vocalist could pull off. If he made this song in the 80's, the last part of the chorus before the words "Battle Cry" would have been 1 or 2 octaves higher. He is awesome! He is the Metal Messiah!
The part at 2:47 ......Holy shit! It kicks you so hard in the ass, that you fly straight to Valhalla. I would say i got goose bumps, but this part burnt down all my hair. Im bald now.
There will Never be another Rob Halford. Definitely “ The Metal God” ! Truly a talented & awesome voice . Band #1 in my book. Band as a whole, perfect ! When u add all the talent Priest has, & Robs singing ranges? Shit ! It grabs by the sac!!! No pun intended!!! He will always be my #1 vocalist of all time. Bruce Dickinson would be running almost neck in neck, but Rob wins!! Lol! Peace!
My 72 year old Dad is going to the concert with me and friends!...Rock on Pops!!!! He also saw BLS in Myrtle Beach! That was a little rough on him...Children of Bodom he did not care for but supports them anyway b/c he loves all music, except COUNTRY MUSIC!
Seems like a true and powerful homage to One Shot at Glory. Or at least this one reminds me of Painkiller's ending song. Amazing. Thanks for never dying, Judas Priest.
At 63, Rob's vocal range is greater than most at TWENTY-three. The man is one-of-a-kind!
Have you seen the documentary when he sings in court ? That to me was proving ground live and on key.
I am 63 wish I could play like that
74 yo now and he still performing incredibly
Easily my favourite song from the new album.
I can only begin to imagine what this would sound like with Rob's "Halford-era" vocals.

Ain't no ordinary eggs!
Maiden and Priest are still kicking ass! Redeemer Of Souls and The Book Of Souls are just fantastic albums! :)
yes not to forget Saxons new album
+Irish Countryman Yes Battering Ram is a really nice album indeed. :)
+tominatorxx Book of Souls sucked.
+Jason Hogan Your opinion. There are a lot of people who disagree with you (me for example) :)
tominatorxx Fanboys tend to do so.
Painkiller, battle cry and halls of Valhalla favorite priest songs of all time
Those are some great ones. I have to throw in Turbo Lover, Devil's Child, Dragonaut, Secrets of the Dead, Firepower, Desert Plains, Angel, Worth Fighting For, Prophecy, Fever, All Guns Blazing ... I could go on for another 20 songs!
Every single one but for me the top ones Victim of changes Judas rising and Dissident agressor. Encore Hard as iron 🫂🙏🫵💝
One of the greatest metal songs ever. Period.
from the GREATEST HEAVY METAL BAND EVER!!!
Apparently Judas Priest is the best heavy metal band ever, i agree
This song kicks some serious ass!
The song would be really awesome if halford made a bigger effort during the chorus
Faulker tears it up big time.
that profile pic is fucking awesome
Feeling + Power = Battle Cry! Halford's voice is so great! The whole song is perfect!
I totally agree with you. There's so much feeling of Rob's voice in this song, but also every other song on Redeemer of Souls. I've never felt that much emotion in a whole album before. Definitely my favorite album of ANY band so far!

Paintkiller is the best in my opinion ;-)
This is a very great album, but I think that is in the number 4 of Judas Priest's greatest, after Painkiller, Angel of Retribution, and Nostradamus. I don't know why some people criticize this master piece!
Nicolas11x12TECHX Halford is simply: THE METAL GOD! My favorite vocalist by far!
Juan Jose Hernandez Figeroa I prefer Dickinson by Maiden and RJ Dio (R.I.P.), but Rob's voice at his age is freaking amazing!
Best song of the album. Still waiting for the live version.
i wish we had a redo of this in the new album, better halford voice = killer song
@@retiar2111 I totally agree with ya! With a better redo it would be much much better
Saw it. EPIC!!
One of the best songs this band ever mande!
This is the type of song you play when you start the final mission in a video game 😎😎
+Collin Lee I want this tune in the next Brutal Legend. Blood soaks the ground as you surround your twisted demonic enemies in a whirlwind of banging heads, creating a heavy metal moshpit of death!
+Collin Lee postal 2
I couldn't say it better.... Where is the final boss? (hehehe)
Collin Lee fkn true
Collin Lee o
Once a Metal Head, Always a Metal Head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Loved Judas Priest back in the 70's, 80's, 90,s etc. This New Work is Phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long Live, Judas Priest!
FOR A BUNCH OFF MEN IN THEIR 60S HOLY SHIT PRIEST STILL RULES!!!!!!!!!
The metal gods struck again.
This sounds very much like Priest...good stuff...
Just think about when audience yell together "BATTLE CRY!" with Rob, wow! Great track! I hope priest has this on their setlist.
Best track on one of Priest's best albums ever!
the best track in this album
Tears of Blood is probably my favorite. Surprised they left it on the bonus cd. Sounds like Defenders/SFV era stuff
Ya they jammed this one .Sounds like a little guitar duel Richie and Glen not bad Not bad at all!
Battle Cry
By Judas Priest
Hail the hero coming home
Honor bound from whence he roamed
Fortitude and skill
Call of duty all alone
Lead the nation for the crown
Serve the orders coming down
Charge ahead with pride
Guard the chivalry you've shown
Those forsaken reawakened with my battle cry
Indestructible by choice
Valor rings out with the voice
Rail the consequence
Destiny's the flag you hoist
Your endeavor lives forever with my battle cry
Battle cry
Death defy
Battle cry
Never die
Cast this sorrow to the wind
Let tomorrow be the light you're made to herald in
Like a master of the seven seas
Your reputation's grown
This eternal flame's been sown
Praise for sacrifice that's done
Well deserved you carried on
Let your hearts be full
For those heroes every one
Restitution absolution with my battle cry
Exoneration condemnation with my battle cry
Battle cry
Death defy
Battle cry
Battle cry
Phantasm thenx :P
debastating rob God Halford
@Tekr45 yeah, but you see, we're lazy. this is a welcome addition to me, for example, on mobile
J
Best song on the album, IMO.
This would be a song I'd probably play at my funeral. May all songs be like this.
The best song of the album. Just great, masterpriece! They should include this song on the tour 50th anniversary celebration. Also other songs like Reckless, Hard as Iron and Cathedral Spiers or Bullet Trrain.
For me, best track of the disc and one of the best of Priest's history.
Thank you Judas Priest for all your music that you made. You are one of my most favourite music interpretes.
This band has a very unique quality of surpassing themselves:
1. Redeemer of souls: Great song.

3. THIS ONE: The final boss of the best First-Person Shooter that comes up off the top of your head right now!! ABSOLUTELY BADASS SONG!!
Nope! Fps Bosses kind of suck!
Besides, this song has more of a epic fantasy feel!
Favorite song on tjis ablum by far is such a powerful voacal performance from rob

Battle Cry and Halls of Valhalla are the best songs on this album imo.
QShaque I think my favourites are this and sword of damocles
Shaun Cope My favourite with down in flames.

Quit bashing Rob Halford he is at least 65 years old. He is still and will always be one of if not thee best metal singers of all time.
Best song on the album!!!
THE ALBUM OF THE CENTURY.
THANKS, JUDAS PRIEST!
METAL GODS FOREVER
I wish they had re-recorded this song during the Firepower sessions...It would have been nice to hear it with that better sounding production.
And a better voice too, This year Rob halford sounds just awesooooome
Well sounds much better than in 2005-10 era
Good point but I kinda dig that lack of production you claim this album has, gives it a real feel.. You know what I'm saying.

So happy metal icons like Judas Priest and Metallica are kicking ass to this day.

the intro thou...damn so glorious..
Oh god this riff is so.. fucking masterpieace
awesome song! the Priest is back!
If this album were produced by Tom Allom, Andy Sneap or Roy Z, he would be a classic.
IMO they should do it. Some bands are even rerecording older albums. Just like the video game remaster/remake craze. Why not?
@@TUTruth Yes, you're 100% right!
Man this song is Fn fire. Priest!!!
I love this new priest classic.i dare say they will play it in future world tours.
