I thought your first soap came out quite lovely! Then when you laughed as soon as you cut it! That made me laugh! You have a good sense of humor. Anyway, great save, even though I didn't think it needed it. Thanks for the video 😊
This happened to me once when I made cold process aloe vera soap. I also grated it up (took forever) and put it In my slow cooker to do as you did. I added some yogurt so I could mix it well, then (as you did) jammed it in to the mold and pressed it down like crazy. When I cut it (like yours, was uneven in texture) so I called it my rustic soap. I gave some bars to my family and fiends and they absolutely loved it. It actually became a favourite for my own personal use as it lathered up so well and was creamy and conditioning. I have deliberately made hot process soap once since then, with better results but the method is too time consuming for me, and the mixing too difficult for my dodgy hands! 🐾🥰 Great video!
Oh dear I know exactly how you must have felt, I wish I had a coin for the many times I have been along that road! From the beginning I wondered what secret you had to keep the rose colour as its very dependant on pH therefore the alkaline condition of soap will ruin the fragile colour of true rose. The lather looked lovely and creamy and i am sure the aroma was beautiful, we live and learn. Thank you for being brave and sharing with us.
Nice to see that if I fail a batch I can still save it. I like the end look! Almost feel like grating two differently colored soaps and mixing them. 🤔😄
Great video and such calming music! If you want to have St.John's wort oil available all year round (without having to wait for a whole week each time),you can put the collected flowers in a glass jar, fill it up with olive oil and leave it in the sun for about 30-40 days.
Ouch! I’m sure that hurt, all ur precious ingredients, it happened to me once I used Japanese cherry blossom, never used it again, put the bottle under the sink, was unhappy for a week 😢 Nice to see u went ahead and rebatched it. Ur patience is unnerving.
I LOVE this. I love your videos. This was very entertaining though. it was funny. I can tell when you were whipping the mold. You were not feeling it. Cracked me up. watching you walk away lol with laughter. but i loved that. Love the trials and errors too. We are all human. though it wasn't pretty, did it smell good? St Johns wart is so good for depression and rose is so good too. Even though it wasn't pretty, the benefits are amazing from both flowers. Its what's inside that counts the most! well done girly! I'm always inspired by YOUR videos! Thanks and thanks for the giggles here!
Hello, My name is Tamara And I have a big pleasure to see your channel It’s very inspiring I am New in the field of soap making I have a question Why do you put citric acid in almost every recipe? Thank you 🙏🏻
I had the same thing happen but I had added just rose petal powder to colour and infuse. It turned brown and I rebatched it also. I couldn’t change the colour. Next one I made I used pink and red kaolin clay instead and it’s gorgeous!
Yo intente una vez hacerlo en caliente y ni por asomo era presentable me gusta mas el proceso en frio me encanta lo que trasmites a traves de tus videos saludos desde españa
The green/beige color was not bad ... I know you expected pink but green/beige (as it shows on my screen) looked fine 🙂 I wonder how long were you waiting between the cut of the green/beige and re-batching ... Was the partial gel and the frame that bothered you? It happened to me too but after few days was one solid color 🤔 in the end the rebached soap is beautiful and rustic all good 🙂
I splitted my batch yesterday and added geranium EO to one and Rose EO to the other. Geranium turned out great. Rose started “lumping” and ended up with ton of ash😢
Can you please tell me. How to incubate soap for 30 days without losing the aroma of essential oils? I make soap with natural essential oils and it's good, but somehow the scent wears off very quickly. Thank you very much, have a nice day.
Some essential oils tend to fade quickly, it's best to stay away from lemon and orange essential oils except the folded versions. Using several essential oils and including middle and base notes in the blend can also help. Another thing that can help the scent last longer is mixing the essential oils with some clay to anchor it.
I don't understand why you redone it again, look good first...After look like canned meat 😁 Thank you for sharing, is nice to see the failed soaps also, not always go perfe6 ❤
URGENT!! SOS Hey Sara.. I made a batch of 100% coconut oil soap (in loaf mould). An hour after putting the batter in the mould, the soap solidified BUT the middle portion of the top part sunk a bit ... Is there any solution or a way to prevent this
Hi everyone, what happens if we add citric acid solution at trace, will it adjust the pH of the soap, since it's not added to lye? Has anyone tried ph balancing soap? I tried making a hot process soap and added too much acv and citric acid solution trying to adjust and balance the pH of the bar soap. I think the homemade acv lowered the pH of the soap bar which is now between 7-8. I think the citric acid solution didn't do anything so I gave up after my batter started to cool down. I ended up rebatching the soap because it was too watery, now its overcooked, but at least it is in the mould and hardening.
The rose water batch really turned into a peculiar color and it accelerated seemingly fast. I thought maybe you'd turn it into a hot processed batch. Either way, that clay disbursed in oil turned it into a pretty rose color. Too bad the rose petals couldn't have done that.
:( i'm really really sorry, the first batch wasn't too bad...the second turned into spam :( as long as you were happy with it tho, that is all that matters.
@@tellervo. oh, I'm really sorry for that comment. :( Maybe it's the lighting, maybe it looks much better in person :D You do make very beautiful soap and that is all that matters!
The little sigh and pause at 8:53 will be familiar to soap makers everywhere…❤️ Beautiful video as always
❤️ Thank you!
Love watching your soap making videos. It's very calming💗
Glad to hear🥰
I love your videos and background music. It’s very smoothing. There was nothing wrong with the first round. Don’t over think or overdo it. ❤
Aw thank you you're so sweet❤️

Your soap sounds awesome🤗 I also prefer not to make hot process soap, it doesn't have many pros when you compare it to cold process!
Except for the gelling, the first batch wasn't bad.

It's been quite a few times for me as well🙂 thank you for the encouragement!
Your aggressive slaps of batter in the mold had me rolling 😂
Haha😅

That could be interesting😄
Lovely video, i really like the first soap. The color was pretty even though it wasen't pink. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you🥰
Thanks for this beautiful video, even though things didn't go as planned.
For partial gel I've seen others say you can put it in the oven for a while (I think spread out on a pan?) and it will finish the gel. Lovely lather.
Yes i've done it and it works☺️ thank you!
Hello. As always a great video. Thank you for sharing with us . As a beginner soap maker I learned a lot .❤❤

Hi! What exactly went wrong with the soap? I don’t understand as I don’t make soap myself. Thanks

Well thank you☺️ I rebatched it right away so we'll never know😄
Why you are desagree with gelling? Is it no mean more gliceryn??
I love your work. Thanks for share it.
A big houg from Chile.
I splitted my batch yesterday and added geranium EO to one and Rose EO to the other. Geranium turned out great. Rose started “lumping” and ended up with ton of ash😢
Oh no, florals can be really tricky😕
Eu fico encantada com os sabonetes, com flores, frutas são maravilhosos.!
Awesome🤗🤗
O wow you are back with new soap.... missing you. .pl do come to India and Mumbai
I would love to visit one day☺️
Pl do come
جداً اعجبني وإن شاءالله اني اجربه💓👏🏻
Can the soap you make be used for hair?
I don't recommend it🙂
😊❤ if you add some bee wax then it will be best lip balm for babies.
omg!how come I didnt find your video before! Can we buy these soap??
I don't sell☺️
would love to see your recipe of a rose soap, when solved all these faults

The first batch was good. But yes the color. Second rebatch may be crumbles in water.
Oh no the 1st batch was much nicer. The rebatched looks like ham sliced up😂
Now I can't unsee it😅
It Father's beautifully
URGENT!! SOS

Hmm i'm not sure, it has never happened to me... The soap probably got hotter in the middle. How is it looking now?
@@tellervo. It's perfectly fine. Just a bit of dent in the top middle :)
I also made a batch of Activated Charcoal soap:))
May be lye changed the infused oil color, not rose water?.. i wonder
Maybe.. I just read that it should work as a colorant in cold process🤔
can you switch folded sweet orange eo for regular orange eo?
Can you make neem soap ?
Hmm maybe🙂
I really didn’t see anything wrong with the first soap. Did I missed something? Thank you
I didn't like the color, texture and the partial gel🙂
@@tellervo. ah, ok thank you
very interesting and creative, have tried making tamarind soap?

Hot process probably would've been a better solution🙂 How are you feeling these days?
Infusion should be for dried herbs only
Sangat menginspirasi ❤❤
I think it's just partial gel, not failed
It was,nt really ugly. But clay is good

It looks kinda like spam 😂and do you think you could make a video for beginner soap makers or at least how to get into the hobby?
True😅 i'll consider it!
Happens to the best of us, doesn’t it? Re-batching makes such ugly soap. I have to wonder, when I’m finished, if it’s worth it.
Haha yes☺️ I agree, it's a lot of work and the end product is not great
