Legume plants form specialized root nodules to host "rhizobia", nitrogen-fixing bacterial symbionts. Rhizobia hosting legumes are able to grow without exogenous nitrogen fertilizer allowing them to be high in protein and to provide nutrition to surrounding plants. In her talk, Long gives an overview rhizobium-legume symbiosis including infection and nodule formation and the chemical signals exchanged between the plant and the bacteria. - Наука
Thank you so much work over so many years into a small video globally shared. Beyond cool!
I've witnessed this process...wow, it's alive...! thank you Sharon
Well presented and interesting. Took me back to my Microbiology class in college. Tomorrow I'm introducing nod factors to my tenth grade biology class, after which they'll plan experiments to examine the effect of Rhizobia and sow Lupin seeds to decorate and enrich the schoolyard.
Thank you very much.
This was very clearly explained, thanks a lot for that!
Amazing video ! you said it all Dr ! thank you
Very clear and to the point kind of video.thank you 💗
very well explained. Thanks!
Your explanation is so good
That's such an amazing process. I have a very basic laymans question if each legume species has a specific rhizome is it a good idea not to crop rotate but to leave my peas in the same area too allow that rhizome to multiply ?
Excellent presentation
Good video
I was repotting a mystery plant that my friend gave me a year ago. it had not grown at all over the year so I thought it was dead. when I cleaned the roots from the old soil, I saw 2 huge “rock” looking things attached to the roots. after doing some research, I think my plant must be a legume 🤣 im so interested! I might look into master programs for plants
Thanks
biological fertilizer will be more and more popular in the future
Interesting.
I wonder , does Rhizobium have the same role as Green and purple sulfur bacteria??
How to they obtain the ingredient for vegie burger ?.. the heme burger
Happy holidays
Thanks mam
Merci
Protein malnutrition/deficiency, is a nice and pleasant way to say profound starvation and lacking food of any kind. Feed them any edible plant and protein isn't an issue goes away. Legumes seem like a good choice.
A root nodule is quite similar to an intestinal vilus.
In brasil this micorryza is unknow for much peapple.

is it not this, Indian farmers were doing until western so called tech was forcefully shoved on them. Thank God we are reinventing our ancestors knowledge in all spheres of life.
Sorry, your lecture is useless to me, because I am deaf.
Hi there- there is a transcript available in the description, as well as subtitles that can be turned on. I hope that helps!
