This is not about marketing. These neighborhoods were redlined which is why they are in this condition. New property tax while you give abatements and TIFs to white developers. Just asinine. People still need banks to lend to them just as they would if they were purchasing a normal ready to move in home, but because of redlining wherein not just neighborhoods are redlined, but people are redlined, we can’t get the necessary funding if we wanted to clean up the mess of the government.
After seeing what historical society has done to home owners like the women whose house fell down because they wouldnt allow her to update the house, i cant see why anyone would buy one of these.
First of all I'm from saint Louis and y'all make it nearly impossible for the people from the community to buy the homes.. y'all rather sale to out of towners or let the homes fall into dispair
Yet they haven't done shit else city still look a mess they need to get rid of the abandoned building in every neighborhood what's the point spending all this money boarding up the same buildings over and over when they could have just knocked em down and let buyers buy the land but I guess it's to much like right this would actually cut down on all the drug deals just saying
Thats in west and south county areas in st louis…these places that are referred to look like north st louis city. The area is beyond struggling at this point.
These homes are in areas where anyone that would want to stay there can't afford to repair the home to even a adequate living condition.
Now if a company could buy them, flip them and resell them, then this could work.
