You mean there was a time when Fred Olen Ray actually did films with something other than stock footage? Man, I miss that guy. That was the Freddie I grew up with.
I remember I first saw this on the Movie Channel back in the 90's when it first came out. I remember seeing it after watching Dennis Miller Live for the first time.
It's even got music that sounds like its from Aliens and the name of the ship of the ship is some what similar. This movie would be perfect for a joke. "Hey wanna watch alien?" *then put this on*
Wow. I haven't seen this since around the time it came out on VHS. I remember the final shot in the trailer the most and the scene it's in was absolutely laughable to my thirteen year old self. I was looking for anything that was remotely like Alien and Aliens at the time and this being a B-grade ripoff was a new concept to me at the time. It looks to have been shot mostly in Florida off the beaten path. I assume that to be the reason I found a copy of it there. Bad, campy ripoff film :)
"you are coming in too fast!" "hey look a shooting star, let's make a wish" looks like the JASON X writer watched this movie before he wrote his script
@RandallFaraday You've made an extremely wise observation. I've been saying that on many videos, and haven't seen anybody else but you say something similar. Encouraging! This means that more people think like us if we both think the same way. I got irritated at Netflix Reed Hastings when he said, "Our subscribers are happy with old movies." YES REED, BUT OLD MOVIES THAT WERE GOOD, not the Wal-Mart Bargain Bin crap you get on Netflix. The few good ones are FEW and FAR between on Netflix.
Fire and Ice and the last Unicorn are a must see!!! They dont make animation like this anymore. Check out: watership down under The Plague Dogs (English Version)
Dude, Ridley Scott should sue someone! That things looks waaaaay too similar to the Xenomorphs from the Aliens franchise. Although, considering how bad this looks, I'm guessing he's never even heard of it. lol
I just bought this on VHS today. It's even worse than I could have hoped for. I love it.
1:12
WHOAH!! IT DOES KNOW MY DESIRES!!!
ive rented this and i swear to god the movie trailer makes the movie look a thousand times better than it really is
@0:40, action music from Aliens, when Ripley drives the APC vehicle into the buildng to save the soldiers when they first get attacked.
You can tell it's early 90s from the over-use of morphing.
I'm pretty sure this movie is the origin and inspiration for all Syfy originals.
1993? I really thought it was 1973 until I looked over the title again! I'd still like to see it though.
Wow how did they get the approval to use the Aliens soundtrack in their trailer? Its the only reason I was able to finish it.
Sure, it's easy to just rag on a movie like this....
...I have no idea how I was planning to finish that statement.
You mean there was a time when Fred Olen Ray actually did films with something other than stock footage? Man, I miss that guy. That was the Freddie I grew up with.
Yes sir, those jugs really thickens the plot.
LOLOLOL
"You are coming in too fast!"
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!
This trailer is for adults!
That monster actually looks kind of good.
Kind of good? Lol it's a xenomorph rip-off 😂
Thanks ~ The BioMonster
I remember I first saw this on the Movie Channel back in the 90's when it first came out. I remember seeing it after watching Dennis Miller Live for the first time.
Damn, no wonder the trailer sounded so good.
I love how it actually uses the goddamn Aliens soundtrack in the trailer.
Entire budget went there
It's even got music that sounds like its from Aliens and the name of the ship of the ship is some what similar. This movie would be perfect for a joke. "Hey wanna watch alien?" *then put this on*
Joe Estevez is simultaneously a drawing point and a drawback
How did they get away with using the Aliens soundtrack? Isn’t that a copyright infringement?
I am sure that someone mention this before, but why do this movie has the same song as the Aliens (the one with sigounrney weaver)?
Wow! they even used the escape music from Aliens
I can hear the music from aliens in the trailer
This movie is just like Citizen Kane.
Wow. I haven't seen this since around the time it came out on VHS. I remember the final shot in the trailer the most and the scene it's in was absolutely laughable to my thirteen year old self. "you are coming in too fast!" "hey look a shooting star, let's make a wish"
looks like the JASON X writer watched this movie before he wrote his script
@TheGreenchiller also the soundtrack sounds a little familiar too
@1:12, Ohhhh man! I want to know where THAT patch of woods is!
Hand down best movie ever made, Joe Estevez kills it!
Oh hello there, Aliens soundtrack.
I think the same reason why I hear some straight refined Aliens soundtrack here :)
Oh those old movies, how I miss them. Not computer generated effects but real fx.
0:40 to 1:20 Music from Aliens by James cameron
This movie is another remake(or clone) of the 1950's flick: FIRST MAN IN SPACE, which was remade in the 1970's as: The Incredible Melting man.
@TheMarksproductions NO, it's his brother, EMILIO ESTEVEZ haha... @ 0:12
Hey... isn't this the music from Aliens?
BEST ACTING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE
Can't find this gem anywhere......maybe I should look a little harder.
oh I gotta find this now.
@RandallFaraday You've made an extremely wise observation. I've been saying that on many videos, and haven't seen anybody else but you say something similar. Encouraging! "...stay alive long enough to warn people about this..."
I think this trailer has already warned people about this...:)
is this the same monster in Red Dwarf? :D
I love how old movie trailers would just flash tits to sell you on it. Ah, the good ol days.
@RandallFaraday in the next 10 years they'll be revalued, just like what happened to the 70's and 80's B movies ;)
@ShadowChimp1 Wrong again! He is actually Marin Sheen's brother, and the other two's uncle!
now that ive seen the monster i dont have to watch this.... right?
I seem to remember something like this on the Sci-Fi Channel in the early '90s. A rip off of "Alien".
joe estevez?
Masterpiece.
I watched this Movie Video tape in 1993 Written on it Produced in 1984 before spread
I looked up the plotline, the monster is the astronaut because he inhaled some spores, I think he inhaled alien bath salts
@svartasky i must disagree, it was the monster; besides they were not large enough
So it turns people into Larry King?
5 Bags of Popcorn
So what's this got to do with the novel it stole it's name from? =P
@MabsKMK you misunderstand me: Im gonna find the movie on dvd for myself. not for you. lol
Kudos to the actors who act like it's serious lol
Awesome! Somebody found this movie and would like to share :)?
Look at this!
ruclips.net/video/lVbmGRZBGrw/видео.html

@PhrozenPhlanges really means to say "the best part WAS..."
1:11 - 1:15 = best Part!^^
love how the music is actually straight ripped from Aliens
Aww. You Googled it. Bless.
@RandallFaraday So did the whole decade after 1996.
Fire and Ice and the last Unicorn are a must see!!! They dont make animation like this anymore.
Check out: watership down under
The Plague Dogs (English Version)
This looks amazing! Did I see Joe Estevez and a random naked brunette woman? This has got to be a winner!
is that a monster?
Dammit it looks like Gwar summoned GorGor again...
The spaceship looks like Changeman.
a Xenomorph would just be another invasive species in the Everglades
I remember this movie, it was so awful that the entire theater joined in on mocking it till the credits rolled.
man, even the music sounds like Alien
aint ever seen this before, but it looks like alien vs predator -just after alien 3 arrived
that music sounds like the music for the Klingon bird of prey from star trek 3: the search for spock.
1993 or 1939 ?.......
00:46 Is that Alan Alda?
@ShadowChimp1 SCRATCH THAT...THAT IS JOE ESTEVEZ, EMILIO AND CHARLIE SHEENS YOUNGEST BROTHER!
Gotta love the cheap Bruce Campbell knock-off, not to mention Joe "Soultaker" Estevez, aka, the "poor man's Martin Sheen"
this is from 1993? wow
Dude, Ridley Scott should sue someone! That things looks waaaaay too similar to the Xenomorphs from the Aliens franchise. Although, considering how bad this looks, I'm guessing he's never even heard of it. lol
wow .... thats got music they ripped off from "Aliens" ....
Earthly thoughts be silent now...
Looks like we entered into some kind of... JOE ESTEVEZ flick @ 0:11
All I could think "Zombies ate my neighbours"
I don't be scared about plastic monsters...
Above our world. Beyond our sky's. comes..... a nemodian shuttle!
the only thing I like about this movie is its morphing sp.effects.
The thumbnail looked like reverend Kane from poltergeist 2
Everything looks like Alien after Alien.
BGMエイリアン2の曲だけど大丈夫かいな?
its Joe! The SOOOOOOOUL taker!
@TheGreenchiller believe me, it doesnt, maybe just the head, once you see the whole thing, youll laugh at it xD
DAMN!! It knows my desires too! :-O
Joe: the forgotten Este-Sheen.
oh wow....high budget.
Still better than Universals Dark Universe
0:22 that's what she said...
Wait, what?
Gotta love all that abuse morphing got in the early 90's.
Looks like a waste of a good title.
hopefully this movie did better then the recent Dark Universe movie
HEYOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha, are you his boyfriend? It's cute how you're arguing like a couple.
