Hi Carlos. Great video again. And what I never expected is, that the HM-219 of your IC-7300 does fight against the wind noise WAY BETTER than the HM-243 of your IC-705. So this is the major improvement in my opinion. If you like another upgrade, you might try an ICOM IC-209 handmike. Which has an active noisecancelling DSP electronics in it. The ICOM tech say, it's only designed for their VHF/UHF mobile transceivers (ID-5100E und IC-2730E) and they do not give any answer if it could be used on a shortwave transceiver as well. But as the RJ45 mic pinout of the related VHF/UHF mobile transceivers is exactly the same as on my ICOM IC-7100, I gave it a try. And OF COURSE it works there as well! So by replacing the mic plug I'm quite sure it will give your IC-7300 another great improvement on readabilty while parachuting. vy 73 + looking forward for further parachute mobile videos, Jochen, DG2IAQ
I have a Heil headset. I just need to build a hand held PTT for it and take it for a jump. Thanks for the info, I may just buy one of those mics to test with.
@LifeAtTerminalVelocity Maybe you and Steve need to have a chat with her... strength in numbers. Unfortunately even with 3 of us we're still outnumbered...
Awesome bag setup! Please do a video on how you have built out. I'm curious how you have the power/coax connections in the bottom of the bag. I'd like to run a similar setup with my 9700 (not for parachuting though) but I'm concerned about damaging the connectors or putting a hard bend in the coax.
No really dude, I am telling you that this is showing that EFHW antennas are absolutely some directionality to them. Facing west I have people, and then facing east they disappear?
How so? The coax and antenna are both horizontal. I have had many times where I have been facing one direction with it and changed heading and contacts went from 59 to 00.
We need to get you in more people's alert apps. Great jump. Hope to catch you on the next one.
Yes we do! Thanks, and I hope you get the QSO.
Nice to meet you this weekend man. Hope you make it back to skydive Alabama soon!! Blue skies brother!
The feeling is mutual, blue skies dude! See you next time.
Hello right from Brazil. What a wonderful video friend. One of the best QSO I've ever seen. Congratulations. Amazon Amateur Radio PY8CW Elliank
Thanks! Stay tuned I'd love to get another Brazil QSO while parachute mobile.

One of these times, I'll get uou on HF!
Well nothing to it but to do it Doug! Tell Lori that you need an IC-7610 and a Step-IR to get me. That is what works for Steve. :)
@@LifeAtTerminalVelocity I think that's a fantastic idea!

We can always try! :)

Bag setup is coming soon. I wanted to do the reveal of the 7300 Parachute Mobile with a bang first.
Sweet setup 👌
How do you keep the antenna away from your parachute?
The wind, it streams it behind me.
Dang, where's they go?!

Cool , but EFHW are not typically directional. the way you had it should function more like a vertical i would think.strange, but nice try!
