Keep in mind we don’t always need to speak directly to the landlord himself. In fact, most of the time we deal with his management company or real estate agent. The best time to find the information is when you are standing in front of the laundromat. You will never find his number inside of the laundromat. Search for “for lease “signs. That number is the right individual. Do a deep dive on Google. These people pay their taxes, they are not hiding. If they’ve ever hired someone to paint the parking lot or trim the trees you will find their information. If you must speak to neighbors DON’T mention the laundromat. Be ambiguous. If you walk into a pizza shop the first thing you do is order a slice. Don’t stand out, or be pushy. For all you know the pizzeria owner also owns the laundry & the building! so don’t talk about it. It may look that way, but Joe has a very rare disease that makes him violently ill if he comes in contact with k-9 feces. The same affliction sadly makes him pay a mutha-fucka to pick up S#!T so he doesn't have to. GTFOH.
