Replacing Biden at this point in US presidential race ‘a difficult proposition’, says analyst

- United States President Joe Biden’s shaky performance at the presidential debate against Republican rival Donald Trump last Thursday (Jun 27) has sparked calls from Democrats for him to end his quest for a second term. But experts believe there is a low chance of Biden leaving the race now. Clayton Allen, director for the US at political risk research and consulting firm Eurasia Group, tells CNA's Asia First what the challenges are in replacing him at this stage.

Did Joe Biden really beat Trump in 2020🤔
In 2020 the media had their thumb on the scale and Biden was allowed to "hide" in his basement.
When there was evidence of misconduct and possible criminal acts by Biden, the media blocked the comments on social media and had Intelligence community operatives produce a false narrative of "Russian disinformation."
It's clear that alone tipped the scales in Biden's favor back in 2020. Without that unfair advantage, Biden has had to stand on his merits, and we see that foundation is faulty.
We all need to keep in mind, there's been a fair amount of dubious legal actions taken against Trump, yet with all of that, it's Biden being called upon by his own party to withdraw from the race, let that sink in as well.
No, not without the interference by those 52 intelligence liars who denied the Hunter laptop story. That was election interference. Plus they changed election laws that has since been ruled unconstitutional. They cheated to “win”.

"Sundowning". He's fine in the mornings and early afternoon, but not in the later afternoon or evening.
It is not difficult. He may chose to stand up at a podium for a speech to the nation, and explain that he steps back in favour of a younger candidate in order to stop the for the country harmful discussion about age.
That's all he needs to do. Americans will commend him for doing this, as this step would raise respect in the people.
