Really??
Every single time I heard this song, I literally think about how smooth, and soulful Johnnie Taylor vocals were, I can’t forget about Flip Wilson over there getting down in the beginning; he was definitely feeling it.
I ran a mobile disco from 1976 - 1980, this was a real floor filler, Brilliant.

Natalie was a gorgeous woman in every way, seldom mentioned now in Pop music. She could blow any female pop singers off any stage in her day. I keep admiring her beautiful features as I remember seeing her in concert.

I wasn’t even born yet when this came out but these were clearly good times. Wish I could’ve experienced living in this era. I love Johnnie Taylor’s music!
@ Rita Hebert...you may not have been born "back then", but the good part about this is... You have these old jams, (that NEVER gets old) to listen to now. I was 21 when this song was released, n, still jamming to it today. As Florida Evans said on Good Times, "DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!😊🎶🎶🎶Be safe, stay safe.
I wasn't here yet either, but I would have also loved to experience this disco and Soul era. I would have loved a front row seat here in this audience! Johnnie's soulful was incredible, and I love those smooth dance moves!
I was almost 13 when this came out, and while nothing beats living those days firsthand, it does my heart good when somebody who didn't, likes the music of that era.
This is actually a P-funk song with Bootsy, Bernie, Eddie Hazel, and I think Gary. They never got credit
Yes they did. They in the credits for two albums in a row

...all ight now! Flip Wilson TURNT it up, that they HAD to put him on camera too. Hot damn!
Where there’s mention of finest make soul singers of that era, you’ll hear names like Ruffin, Cooke, Wilson, Gaye and Green. It would be criminal to not include the name Johnny Taylor up there. His dongsy the”go to” one at any 60’s party
But Lord knows one thing is for sure the best of the best have to die one day❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh and the supremes
Black people had a real great vibe back then.😊😊😊😊
