The most success I've had with Carno at the start was to see if I could get some risk free diet as quickly as I can then wait until I get to a speed that I can escape raptor and troos. Then hunt in the day and hide in the night until adult. When you're adult you can get your revenge on the island but even then don't get careless.
I genuinely think the isle devs just don't like Carno. They've boxed it into the small game hunter, niesh and it can't even hunt small game effectively, the real life animal was probably hunting large herbivores and cannibalising other Carnos so idk what the devs are thinking tbh. Sad to see such a cool dinosaur get neglected

south plains is the worst place to be on the map, especially as a baby. so many better places to grow up. the more you spawn and die there, the more laggy it is. bodies of baby dinos everywhere there, and its not even an interesting place to hang out.

You need to go 2 settings & activate !!!MANUAL ALT attack!!! my dude ur always attacking with alt attack, it deals more DMG & is helpful if u wanna attack where ever the camera is pointing BUT this is by far the slowest attack & COSTS STAMINA! LMB should be light & quick attack. I don't know why or when the devs mad the alt attack always on by default....

Carno rework idea: Give it the ability to spar like dibble, giving it the modification for it to knock over 125% of its weight instead of just 100. Or: Add a mutation that replaces charging with shouler bashes. 3 chartes only useable while running, which would knock down medium opponents like tenoto or omni and knockback larger opponents. If two carnos collide in a shouler back they both get head trauma. If done to smaller creatures or babies/juvis, ot bone breaks. Yeahhhh it may be overpowered. I just like thinking. If you like my thoughts then thanks cyaaa
agro dibbles like that really wind me up. Its fun to fight and be agressive as a herby but that guy is bascially hunting and bullying with the current game knowing only cerato and omni packs can threaten him. Also i feel like carno thrives as an ambush predator and it can absolutely destroy cerato in a 1v1 if they facetank

Personally I think theyre making it smaller to make there be a larger size gap between it and Allosaurus, in Reality both animals are pretty similar in size Allosaurus being a little longer and maybe slightly heavier. I'd prefer them to be like that personally the two larger predators of the mid tier competition between the two over hunting would be interesting

Hi Tyler, I’m enjoying your content mate ty. Not sure if anyone can help me out I just downloaded the isle and evirma but when I launch it it says easy anticheat isn’t installed and won’t start up.
The main issue i found with carno is that he devs have a very bad habit of not letting go of their ideas even when they clearly dont work, if you look at the carno's concept art you can see it being mainly a small game hunter with teno (and possibly cerato as imo they're on the same size spectrum) being the largest (and riskiest) prey, yet that idea clearly just doesnt work in-game. Carno gets hungry quick and a troodon, hypsi or a herrera will simply just not be enough and its just plain ol not worth chasing and that leaves what? An omni, dilo, teno and cera which are things (aside from dilo and omni) that are supposed to be a 'high risk, high reward' type of deal and not something a carno should hunt on regular. Besides its general abilities kind of suck, dont get me wrong a carno's charge is damn powerful but it takes so much stamina that its just really not worth using unless you're in a group which.. doesnt happen often i'll be honest-- mainly because of that food drain that makes people so uncertain about grouping, i do dearly miss the old carno (when carno was a cannibal and the only playables were teno, omni, pachy, carno and stego (((and maybe bird but i aint sure)))) since i do believe that was the time carno was at its peak glory
@@jarltorn1868 PS5 can run it pretty easily, at least at 1080p highest it should be able to get 50-60fps, because my PC specs are pretty close to a PS5's in terms of gaming performance and I get 50-60fps on 1080p highest graphics. But if they ever relase it on console it'll take years, because they said that if they ever relase it on console it'd be after the game is finished on PC.

The game doesn't have very much to do besides PVP so herbs can choose between sitting around between meals, or hunting carnivores. The incentive for being so aggro is that they're bored or want to practice PVP. I know there's breeding, but it's not the most fun activity, and you have to have another grown partner of opposite gender, which isn't always walking around. People play games to experience things, not sit in t a bush, so I always play with the mindset that everyone is bored and will attack at all times.
