Always seemed to me about Cinder's foreshadowing of using Team RWBY as her steppingstones to victory and the "I won't crawl most of all I won't fall for you!" Was them or more specifically Yang retaliating against being used. Though the line "Pierce the sky, escape your fate, the more you try you'll just breed hate." could allude to the idea that no matter what Yang or any of her friends do to prove her innocence or right their wrongs it'll only cause more negativity in the people of Remnant and net Cinder her victory.
ravens being bridges between the afterlife or underworld would make the connection clear, especially considering the line "death is never what it seems." Qrow is based on superstitions from his namesake, why should his sister be different?

Cinder Fall Is Most Evil And Vile Woman In The World Of Remnant Her Attack On Beacon, Murdering Pyrrha , Having Emerald Trick Pyrrha Into Accidently Killing Penny And Yang Into Attacking Mercury Thinking She Broke His Legs When They Were Actually Robotic Make Her Look Like A Bad Guy Who Agrees With Me On This ?
Cinder's ability to make her own plans has definitely turned out...lacking. It's clear that everything she said and did in Volumes 1 through 3 was from a playbook Salem gave her. The super-virus in the computers was probably Dr. Watts' work, though.

Without Salem she wouldn't get those powers and grim destruction , without *Watts* she wouldn't control entire army force, without *Tyrain* and *Hazel* , Leo could've send Haven huntsmen and huntress to protect Beacon which is why they killed all of fully trained huntsman. Without Emerald and Mercury, she would've died in hand of Amber. Cinder is nothing more under dog who listen doing dirty work for others.
