Kevin Bieksa post game said it best, the biggest thing in this game is that the EDMONTON OILERS beat the LA Kings, not just McDavid and Draisaitl. 11 different Oilers recorded at least a point in this game and the Oilers dominated 5v5. Both the 5v5 ability and depth scoring of the Oilers had been in doubt prior to this one, big statement and a decisive win.
Totally agree on that!! Great effort by the whole team 👏👏👏
I concur doctor!
Kevin Bieksa has quickly become one of my favourite people on that intermission panel. Which I would not have guessed years ago.
Yes! And they dominated 5 v 5 every single game. All deserved!
Games 1 and 3 were absolutely carried by Draisaitl, but other than that I agree. Kostin won game 2 for them and the depth scorers helped them in game 5
Zach Hyman with yet another masterful goal
Off his face
I wonder how many times he had to practice that play.
Beautiful pass by Bouchard 😂😂😂
@@sakalaathletics damn straight! lol
that sound at 0:15 is the greatest sound ever.
Hyman's face has better highlights than the King's first line
Yes, Hyman scored a face goal
Lol
Hyman is becoming the 'face' of this kings vs Oilers series :P
You can put a face to the goal
I wouldn't want to face off against him.
I swear to god taking a penalty against Edmonton rn is suicide
IKR
it’s gg if u get a penalty
You can literally see the panic in the LA players during an Oilers PP.
They can't get set right... Oilers too fast and EVERY Oiler on the powerplay has Great hands.
I mean they've got three players who easily broke 100 points so it's understandable lol.
Lol 😄 I have never seen anything like this before a team scoring every powerplay goal
That 1-3-1 trap while down by 3 was deffinitly a bold choice by todd lol
One big difference to last years oilers: they are deep. Even the identity line produces. Good on ya, oilers!
Ya I’m lovin every line.
Deep? They got the best powerplay unit in recent hockey history and thats the reason they are in playoffs and can win some games there, they are the definition of not having depth, glass cannon, betting that their PP unit gets the job done.
@@HairyButWhole Did you watch the game tonight or are you simply rehashing this ridiculous narrative? You can completely take away their PP goals and they STILL WIN THE GAME.
@@HairyButWhole 13 different guys with points tonight, and mcdavid didn't score once. Yea that really is called depth.
@@HairyButWhole 5th in the league in even strength goals and not a single forward without double digit goals. But ok, whatever you say
Hyman's face scored a goal
Hyman facetiming a puck.
B-hole Byfield cross-checking Draisaitl from behind and Drai ends up scoring an awesome goal falling down. Loved his celly afterwards too.
Coach Woodcroft again, briliant. Made Yamamoto accountable. Moved Yamo down and moved Buicksted up, standing right in front of Korp for the screen and look at the goals go in. Woodcroft, a real great coach, brilliant!!! Thank You woody!!! Woody is playin to win. He wants that cup.
And Hyman, they don't come any tougher, wow.
Drai’s goal off the McDavid feed was wicked
That first goal was so audibly satisfying... the ping of the crossbar... the quarter-second pause... the eruption.... love it!
honestly the oilers have done so well this game it is truly an honor to be an oilers fan
Oilers in my opinion has one of the best offense but they lack defensively. I'm trying to remember when the last had a shutout? Lol
@@Ze_Moose pretty recent actually, in the regular season, 2 shutouts in a row
@Kuruma Uchiha Yup both Skinner and Campbell had shutouts back to back.
@@Ze_Moose and one of the two teams was la ironically
Oilers suck greasy turds. Go Kings. Anybody but the Edmonton Oilers.
The second goal was pure and classic old school oilers. McDavid behind the net, out to Dri, in the net. Reminiscent of Gretzky (in his office) to Kurri, back of the net. Anyone else see it?
That was the first thought in my mind when I saw it!!! Definitely reminded me of Gretz
Goddamn that Evander Kane goal was perfect! Slow walk up snipes it off the pipe crowd cheers and the goal call! I just keep replying that part.
We Canadians are happy and also glad that we get to play with the LA Kings again.
I love how hyman doesn't drop his stick until he realizes it went in at 5:35
Great game by the Oilers, but LA can't just switch off like this. Horrendous defending.
What a player Bouchard is by the way.
Ya eh, we could see that potential back during the Juniors, wicked shot. He's taken over pretty well for Barrie and Ecks has been a great role model for him.
Having both McDavid and Draisitl on the same line gives every team defensive seizures. Coach likes to pull that card once and awhile.
Game 6 in LA! Cheers!
Yeah, it's been perplexing to see them just completely lose their identity. Even Dominic Moore was calling them out for not pressuring at all in the D zone or on the forecheck, and saying they looked scared. It's one thing to get beat, it's another to look beaten.
What an amazing game! We only need one more win to take this series home!
I hope it happens next game but I fear this may go 7. Yikes!
One more win to finish the series, and most likely play Vegas next, in Vegas not Edmonton
@@mosert82 Vegas series shouldn't be too bad. I'm inclined to say Oilers will take it in 5.
@@mosert82 that would actually be a fun matchup McDavid vs Eichel yes please
We ?
Absolutely terrific effort in an absolutely pivotal game tonight by all of the boys!! What a win!!! Let’s wrap this up in 6 on Saturday!!! That face goal by Hyman was also awesome, I’m so happy that he wasn’t hurt by that😂 GO OILERS GO!!!!!!
That was a wicked deflection in 😄
@@archimedes2261 It really was!! Just like your mirrors deflecting the sunlight onto the Roman ships at Syracuse, eh, Archimedes?😂😂
And our first world championship since 1990.
These boys deserve this. Absolutely legendary playing this year.

Let's stay focused and get that game in LA. I love this team. #LetsGoOilers
Would love to see Will Farrell cry lol
What a great team success! Wonderful goals by Kaner and the others! That's the stuff for the big win at the end.
Maple Leaf fan here, growing up I had many favourite teams due to my love for the game. The Oilers were one of my all time favourite teams. The Oilers played very well tonight, and would love to see Oilers vs Maple Leafs in this playoff year.
Ya man, that would be a perfect end to the season regardless of who won.
I watched that game last night and I was damn near jacked up as the Leaf fans were. I'm really hoping they pull this off, should give them the confidence to take on the Bruins.
Go Oilers! Go Leafs! (Really can't believe I've typed that a couple times last couple days!)
@@RickL_was_here Counting chickens before they hatch? Neither team has made it past round 1 yet. Id still bet the Leafs dont make it past Tampa given their history.
@@RickL_was_here You're a leafs fan now, you son of a beach
@@richardgagne3255 you will see lol, Tampa an LA going golfing soon 😂
Unfortunately the Leafs will not be getting past the Bruins this year.
Oilers didn't use spit tonight they went in hard and raw
@KOODA -KOODA- dnl6ever aka fake Al Grundau. No one ask your opinion 😂😂
@@FUmfKOODA Who asked for yours?

@KOODA yeah I am MAD cos ya ma told me she forgot to take precautions so u'll have a brother or sister soon. So what should I do -KOODA- dnl6ever aka fake Al Grundau
@KOODA you talking to yourself. Lmfao sorry I am late but I am too busy to prepare your bro or sis arrival. 😂😂
These boys deserve this absolutely legendary playing this year
The sad organ music whenever the Kings scored was a nice touch.
The way the Oilers played this game is also more than what Boston can handle. Look at the sloppy play of the Bruins. The Oilers have just as good a chance at the Cup as Boston.
Keep hammering at the rock until it splits.
When Korpisalo was pulled, that was the rock splitting.
I can't get over the notion that Bernie Nichols number isn't hanging from the rafters in LA. He recorded 533pts in 476gms and one of a very small number to score 70g and 150p5s in a single year. I couldn't/wouldn't wear number 9 if I was a King.
Kings blowing a 3 goal lead in game 4 appears pivotal.
also, i love how putting leon on his line has given mcdavid some groove again. who carried who this series
That's always a trick up coaches sleeve... Makes things hell for the opposition defence. I'm surprised he waited this long, guess he didn't want to be down going back to LA.
mcdavid carried leon, there i solved it for you
How does one defend on that second goal, 2nd favorite team but my favorite team to watch.. so exciting.. Oilers passing is on a whole other level
Depth, depth, DEPTH!!
Oilers Depth players were Cookin tonight.
Thats the difference between this years and last year for the Oilers... I hope Holland finds a way to keep Bjugstad... he's fits like a glove on this team and makes the bottom 6 even more Dangerous.
Yup. 13 different Oilers on the scoreboard tonight. That's something we weren't seeing last year. We needed more than 2 players to show up.
@Al Grundau -KOODA- dnl6ever aka fake Al Grundau DELATE 😂😂
Hyman took a bouch bomb to the face and lived to tell the tale
Gangsta goal by Hyman💪😤💪
2 very good teams 👏 best series round 1 ...very passionate, and entertaining
What a shot 👌

Are you so sure about Vegas?😂
@@user-og1pm6gt6p Could still be Winnipeg, but I don't see either team outplaying the Oilers.
With Morrissey and Scheifele out, I think it's safe to say it will be Vegas
18 й номер Хейман... 🤴👍главное лицо этой битвы👏🤣👍
Kings lost their groove after giving up that 3-0 lead. Very unlikely we’ll see a game 7, especially with the tear the Power play has been on.
I know that it’s a bold take, I just have a feeling and hope it’s right.
Lol as if the refs will allow the Oilers to have a PP in LA.
I think we might see a game 7 but if the Kings fall early again at home I think it’ll be over in 6
@@schrempskynate8944 We don't need them, we just gotta play disciplined and keep it 5 v 5. Oilers have absolutely caved LA at 5 v 5 in every way.
@@schrempskynate8944 Still complaining about the refs after winning two games in a row
Skinner looked a little more confident tonight. Oilers still need to tighten up that D if they wanna make it deep into the playoffs, but they are looking unstoppable on offense as usual.
a snipe off the bar and in is one of the greatest sounds in sports! right up there with a swish and a homerun
One thing is certain: if the Kings end up losing in the first round, it won’t be because of Adrian Kempe. This guy has arguably been the best player in the series even though his team is facing elimination. Already coming off a career year with 40+ goals, he’s really showing everyone his true potential as an elite power forward.
**2nd best player in the series** with Leon being 1st
Korpisalo was more important to the kings imo, he stole two games for LA
Great goal by Kempe! Not that it made much of a difference but still a great goal.
I wanted to win this game. But I don't know if I'm take a slap shot from Bouchard right to the face wanting to win. Thatta boy Hyman skate it off bud!
Luckily it looked like a knuckler and caught a bit of his shoulder. Definitely not a straight bomb to the face or there would have been some blood
@@Dr.Acula76 Like aho, he got it real bad last night
@@alexandrapreston7283 I was gonna say which one, but only one took a puck in the face
Back in the day we called that a Semenko
What a game by oilers tonight, the whole team was giving their 100%… let’s go oilers
C'mon Canada! One team must come through!
Thing I noticed was that the Oilers figured out how to spring the 1-3-1 trap LA has been employing, and spring it they did. Wonder what the Kings will do to counter next game, because they absolutely can't win a track meet with Edmonton.
It’s so fun to watch the oilers!

DARNELL CAN HELP OUT HYMAN INJURED FACE BECAUSE......WELL HE IS A NURSE😅
Nurse call a Doctor there's a broken Hyman.
Both teams are good.... Tough competition, what a sport this is, amazing 🤩
Great team work
...and Hyman turned the other cheek. Here endeth the second period.
Great to see Hyman "breaking thru" in this series.
Brilliant depth play boys, it's not just mcdavid and draisaitl
both teams are so good. it takes either a perfect shot, or deflection to beat the Corpse, so hats off, he's probs the better goalie, and Kempe is the Kings Draisaitl, but the Oil owned this.
The fact no one is covering kempe is crazy to me? Like why tf is he always open!
These two goals from Hyman are funny as hell
Hyman only got 1. Bjugstad scored the 2
Good to see the Hyman break thru
Outstanding Performance
Kane scores 👏 adds a lot to Oilers chances ...Kane has a genius for scoring beauties 🏒🥅
