  • My Mother-in-law loves this meal. Apparently, according to her tonight, this is her favorite thing I make (who knew?). It’s not “hard” it just takes a lot of time… and eyes. You have to WATCH the sauce, you have to WATCH the shrimp, you have to WATCH the pasta and OVEN so everything comes together at the same time. It’s a fun recipe I’ve appropriated from Saveur Magazine many (many) years ago. I hope you enjoy it.
    TIME TO PREPARE
    1-2 hours
INGREDIENTS FOR STRAWBERRY WINE SAUCE OVER ANGEL HAIR PASTA
    1-2 Bottles of Strawberry Wine
    1 stick butter (room temp)
    1 package angel hair pasta
    Olive Oil
    Garlic
    1 Lime
    Garlic Bread Loaf
1-2 lbs Raw Red Argentina Shrimp
    HOW TO
    1. Boil water
    2. Heat cast iron skillet
    3. Add some oil oil to a medium pot
    4. Add diced garlic to medium pot
    5. Stir quickly, add first bottle of wine
    6. (if you are making enough for more than 4 people, you may need 2 bottle of Strawberry wine)
    7. Cook wine down by 75%
    8. Set aside and keep warm
    9. Boil Angel Hair pasta for 5 minutes, drain, add a little oils oil, cover, set aside
    10. Heat oven for Garlic Bread
    11. Toss shrimp in cast iron skillet (did you add a little olive oil?)
    12. Cook shrimp, drain, cover and set aside (turn off heat)
    13. Pull bread out of oven
    14. Add stick of room temp butter to Strawberry wine sauce, stir, turn off heat and cover (keep stirring so the butter combines with the wine)
    15. Take your plate
    16. Add cooked pasta
    17. Add sauce
    18. Add Shrimp
    19. Toss some bread on the side
    20. Sprinkle with cheese, hot peppers or salt / pepper
    21. Enjoy
