Good exercise/warm up , thank you... I also had a tutor who used to start the lesson with exercise by playing randomly on the black keys only , and also in contramotion
Warm ups are super useful! Will you be using this one?
Just found your channel. Love it. Coincidentally, my wife has some Lithuanian heritage and one of my most cherished composers is Godowsky. I'm delighted to find your channel as I am working to improve my touch, evenness, balance, and suppleness. I'm not a concert pianist, but have begun to compose again after a long time away. Thanks for providing your knowledge and art.
Lovely stuff, thank you for your nice words - I really appreciate it! 😁
Wow! I know what my new obsession is gonna be now!
11 arpeggios? haha
This also really helps with composition
Oh yeah, teaches you the basic chord patterns!
Thank you so much! What a great exercise.
It is right? :) Hope you enjoyed :)
Hello Ugnius. I can’t understand what you are sayin g at 2:40 where it shows a green V at the Ab minor. Please elaborate.
Hey Mark!
So you can put a C+ (C Augmented triad) in between the Abmajor/C and Aminor/C
@@UgniusPianist Thanks Ugnius. I am practicing this routine now with the dim. 7 at the end and will add augmented later. I had seen this routine on Dhdanov. I am just a self training clunker at the piano and have learned to play this exercise slowly (and badly) through B major and am working on F#. Also working on Hannon ex. # 59 after I saw your video about it. Getting better at the 6ths but at the end they jump 3rds and this is still difficult for me. How old were you when the USSR racket was shut down in 1989.
Please. Simple question. The sheet came showin the number of the finger? I am a beginer. Salutes from Chile
Hi! Yes, the numbers written in the PDF are for the fingers. Feel free to use different fingerings if you prefer. The finger numbers can be changed based on your hand size.
@@UgniusPianist i already have it. Gracias
I love it but why call it an eleven arpeggio exercise when there are actually twelve arpeggios? :)
(3 major, 3 minor, 4 dominant7, 1 augmented and 1 diminished)
So the original version (the Russin School version) is 11 arpeggios, but I added an extra one just in case haha!
I didn't want to confuse people with the different versions and decided to name 11Arpeggios (+1)
Dea Ugnius, what piano model fo you have? Is that the Yanaha PJU109?
Hey! Its the Yamaha B1 silent :)
@@UgniusPianist sounds very lovely man! Im glad to see you post videos! Hope soon you can upload some videos for Octaves tips! Legato and fast passages without hurting yourself, like the Chopin Octave etude.
@@johanssoncisneros1489 there will never be enought of tips for that Chopin etude 😂
@@UgniusPianist hahahahaaha I bet they aren't, but still would be cool, then a video explaining the basic concept to reach fast octaves without injury I know there's plenty of videos, but I really love they way you explain
@@johanssoncisneros1489 ok, i made a note for this and will doit in the near future!!
Is Ab/C the same as Ab Maj/C?
You could say so! Think about is as C Eb Ab in that order :)
@@UgniusPianist You could also call it Ab maj 1st inversion
@@johndipinto4084 indeed!
how do you think i inGOD NAME THAT I CAN FOLLOW YOUR TUTORIALS IF YOU ARE GOING SO CRAZY FAST?
RUclips has an option to slow down the video.
I hate when they show you an exercise. Then refer you to some website to learn it. When they could’ve taught you it right here on RUclips. That sucks‼️
Hey, I think you can learn the exercise by watching the video. Try slowing it down and paying close attention 👀
And of course, if you want the sheet music, you'll have to go to 'some website' to download it 🎶
Audio too low .
Sorry about that, though, I just checked it on my laptop - seems ok to me.. Have you checked your laptop settings?
