FYI: This podcast was recorded towards the end of last year - prior to my 6 month hiatus from the podcast. After a refreshing break, I'm excited to get back to tackling the "Big Questions" and "Hard Problems" in science, philosophy, and beyond! Lots of great thinkers and world leading experts lined up for the channel! If you enjoy the show, please like, subscribe, and join me on this quest to conquer the mind-body problem and take one step closer to the mind-body solution!

The question is not whether consciousness is fundamental or an emergent property; the question is whether physical matter has been created only for consciousness to emerge, then it emerges in any way

Ask me questions so I can explain anything you did not understand. Be detailed so I can understand you. I am an expert on this subject .

Wow, thank you for including this guest. He is very interesting to watch as he mirrors the misunderstanding he claims to understand.

Can you elaborate on what misunderstanding is he mirroring?

@yateeshagrawal513 well I'm referring to the way the guest went off the rails on pansychism, ignoring any possibility that there may be evidence he has missed. There seems to be good evidence of many woo woo topics that need to be explored without this type of reaction.

Dark matter is driven by dark energy. Together they give mass to matter. This would suggest that dark matter and energy gives "birth" to matter. If this is true, then dark matter is conscious as it determines the shape and mass of matter. This would place consciousness at the fundamental level of reality 🤔. Just an opinion for brainstorming

If you read just 1 page out of a 1000 pages book, and make assessments and assumptions (let alone a conclusion) of the story, it certainly would be inaccurate. We will never finish this book of the universe. That includes everyone, including this guest. Let us all start by admitting that. In the meantime, let’s not kill each other over what knowledge you have selfishly gathered into this little self.
Logic, contradiction, faith (both within science and spirituality) should live side by side in harmony. Any solidity in your mind is usually the end of the line.

Oh my, your guest is no doubt smart, but he comes across to me as a flat earther. Maybe he has solved the hard question of science, but he is so convinced he has he may never really know. He says Einstein has solved gravity, but didn't he just push the problem to the next level? Aren't there many arguments about quantum gravity as we speak? Sorry it's early in your video, I will continue to watch and perhaps change my mind.

This guy again. No, the hard problem is not like any other problem in science - and the comparison with gravity is also lacking. It has not been solved, neither by Grossberg's ART, nor any other theory of conciousness. There are major epistemic challenges an explanation of conciousness will face, which you can't find in any other area scientific investigation.

This guest has a very narrow view of reality. He talks over the presenter and increases his volume to establish power over the presenter. He shouts him down. Not by discussing the point but repeating his theory over and over. He is a weak debater
