    I have often wondered why the sun rises twice a day on Venus. Please make a video explaining this. Waiting for it.

    • @wahidsaifudeen1651
      @wahidsaifudeen1651 3 года назад +5

      Venus is unusual because it spins the opposite direction of Earth and most other planets. And its rotation is very slow. It takes about 243 Earth days to spin around just once. Because it's so close to the sun, a year goes by fast. It takes 225 Earth days for Venus to go all the way around the sun. That means that a day on Venus is a little longer than a year on Venus.
      Since the day and year lengths are similar, one day on Venus is not like a day on Earth. Here, the sun rises and sets once each day. But on Venus, the sun rises every 117 Earth days. That means the sun rises two times during each year on Venus, even though it is still the same day on Venus!

    Your visuals are very nice, but if you're showing numbers to 3 decimal accuracy, then you need to show the orbits of the Earth and Moon as ellipses and not circles.

    • @vedicastrologythroughanimation
      @vedicastrologythroughanimation  2 года назад +2

      Thank you for watching the video and the comment.
      You are correct about the eccentricities of the orbits, we could have shown them but then again there are many other things that we could have shown, for example, the tilt of moon's orbit respective to the Earth's orbit, Correct proportion of moon earth and sun, position of background stars, relative revolution/ rotation speed of these bodies.
      The purpose of this video is only to demonstrate the concept of sidereal and synodic month and this simple animation serves its purpose well. We have stated specifically in the video about the incorrectness of the scale and proportions.
      Also the eccentricities of earth's and moon's orbit are 0.017 and 0.055 respectively which makes them so close to a circle most people won't be able to tell them apart from a circle.

    Maybe I'm mistaken but isn't what you describe as a sidereal month actually a month measured relative to a point on earth rather than a point relative to the stars (i.e., sidereal)? So, in that case, wouldn't it be called something like a "terrestrial month", "geographic month" or some such other name?
