- One Year as a Freelance Photographer…it’s honestly crazy for me to even think about. I quit my job a year ago so that I could pursue photography as a full-time career, and I wanted to sit down and reflect on what I’ve learned, some regrets that I have, what I would have done differently, and what I’ve learned over this past year.

My first camera was also the Canon Rebel and still have it. I've always loved taking pictures and videos but with always working for companies I never thought about doing it as a job (I know weird lol)
The Canon rebel series is amazing, and I still recommend it to people. When most people think of photography as a job, they imagine a wedding photographer, or someone who did their headshots for their company. If you look around stores at ads, when you see photos in a menu, etc., those are usually all taken by photographers! Keep taking photos, it's so fun and as cliche as it sounds, a great way to document your life.
Such an interesting journey. Really inspiring how you gradually chipped away at learning and improving over the years and eventually took the leap.

Your journey sounds pretty amazing and you are where you are supposed to be. I have a thing for photography too. Got a paid gig a few yrs ago. It was great. Then i got into beach and ocean photography which im still making plans for.
I do want to congratulate you for trusting and diving into your passion. You're multi talented so you have many gifts to work with and create income from.

You should def take photos of the ocean, I love going for morning walks on the beach and seeing the sky with the beautiful colors of the sunrise. You can make prints!!
