Wow you guys? I have read all the negative comments saying he is noob? He is not a good player? How about you guys? At least he manage to win qualifier for his regional and still managed bring himself to Final. He tried his best, he just nervous that's all. You never know what happen inside individually certain people
great deck profile and a really good run in worlds. I feel like his build could have been further optimized to flow better with his choices of grade 3s for more defensive options which in turn can give you more offensive options due to survivability as well with all of the cards that he commented on that he never used there skills but they were in the deck like the seabreeze, pair of aces, and the critical triggers. also personal opinion on highflame is that it shares too much of a similar cost to defeat flare that the back row wipe is often turned off due to the want to drawing that one extra card so you lose fear of attacking when your opponent knows the drop zone is not stacked with g3 flame dragons. I like the choice of the grade 3s because it's the best for utility and tool boxing but again I feel like your "tools" we're not optimized for the ways you can search out of your box so in the long run that can and will hinder your matchups and gameplay. as well as when you played on stream i saw that your order of attacks seemed out of sync with the trigger line in the deck which helped cause both of the losses on stream that this build faced. but all in all a very good run, the choices that helped you win cement my own choices in my own build as well as the choices of things that you never found the place to use helps cement the choices of my own different tech. congrats on that 2nd place you did overlord and kagero proud big boi
whats that? you needed Drachma, and couldn't have won with Ziedenburg, didn't the best players in the world tell you that you could have won in all those situations with Ziedenburg because the only time Dracma wins Ziedenburg does a better job. This guy must be a noob
windwaker0rules incorrect. He’s probably talking about when he knows his opponent has no grade 3 to ride. Therefore his opponent rides a grade 2 or less making it more efficient and can seal the win better than zigenburg sometimes. Especially if they ride a grade 1 or 0. Point is, he made it to 2nd place of the world finals and you didn’t. So I wouldn’t talk so mighty
This guy must be a noob but the qualifications for going to that event are getting first place at a regionals then he also made it past 2 blocks in top 4 of 2 ~20ish man tournaments, ALL of which have ALSO won first place at their respective regionals, then he made it to the grand finals. So yeah, dude must be a noob.
Heres a situation where you wouls win with Drachma but not with Ziegenberg... imagine if youe opponent has 6-7 hand cards and you know he has at least 2 heal triggers but no g3s. He could easily G Guard both Ziegenberg attacks but with Drachma, you essensially force them to ride a g2 or lower (which is already a -1), discard another 2 other cards, while turning what would be a g guard into a mere 10k shield.
"what made you use Overlord?"
Did he just ask a competitive tournament player why he played a dominant meta deck?
Dominick Majors you are aware that people can have any reason to play a Deck right? Don’t be daft.
At least he was honest. I played it because I needed to win, is what he said.
CardGamingOtaku agreed
