This was incredible! I just started vanguard with my friends with standard and even though I don't play premium I was blown away with this deck and your mindset behind it! Every aspect of it was fine tuned for victory. I went to my NJ regional and took 11th and was feeling low because I didn't make top 8. But this video and the strategies you went in depth with were crazy and got me so hyped for what's to come. Congrats man I hope your game breaking mind wins worlds!

One thing I forgot to ask. What are your thoughts on Blue Dust V for both Premium and Standard? I feel for Standard it is very strong, but I'm not sure about Premium... Just honestly looking for options for my own deck and Blue Dust keeps popping up in my mind. Figured I'd ask since you usually have very spot-on ideas and thoughts about certain cards and deck building
The fact that it needs to hit makes it a very very very mediocre card for Premium. And possibly even mediocre for Standard I'm afraid. You generally want to run some combination of Ruthven, gwynn and werbear in standard as far as I'm aware :)

While selecting units you have to make sure they can help that image in some way

Great deck. One question I have is, what do you think of running Werwolf Freiwilliger instead of Prisoner Beast? Since it goes into the soul, I thought Werwolf would be slightly better.
I considered that but the issue is that when you do a half-loop with only 2 assassins, you need to have a full field before you start looping. Prisoner beast stays on field whilst werewolf goes to soul. It can get very tricky to keep a full field and a full soul when you're charging wolves away. I did heavily consider it though :)
I just faced this list with Megacolony Gyze. I played against it like a boss. Since I watched this video I knew what to expect. I didnt give em any counterblast whatsoever, got extra lucky with triggers. And managed to pull off my gyze while he had 0 avaible counterblast so I didnt attack during my ulti stride. Which won me the game. He only got to have two damage in his damage zone. All thanks to me knowing exactly what list I faced off against
You mentioned that counterplay does exsist but implied that non of the options are reliable enough for hiw fast this deck is. Did I understand that correctly?
No, there is counter-play, but it's so counter-intuitive and so little decks can actually do it, that it wasn't a big concern for me going into this tournament.

No, I didn't. I mulligan super aggressively. Anything that isn't a single grade 1 or a 3, goes away. That + 12 Draw triggers really makes it hard to miss grade 3. And if you G assist into g3, it's not a big deal since you win that turn anyway. You just throw away draw PGs/dead creepers when 1 is in soul already/crits, since they don't do anything when in hand.
You pray that they don't figure it out. That's why I scooped in round 7. Preserve info. You can still kill with demagogue loop+assassin if worse comes to worst, but you don't want that to happen.
I suppose deck ideas like this is what it takes to win...but I could never...I'd never be proud to win that way, couldn't get time off from work anyway, still congrats on winning man

I don't SC before riding g3 (apart from yellow bolt) :) As I said; I mulligan very aggressively since I run such an obscene amount of grade 2s. I only keep a 1 and 3s. Rest goes away. It's also no problem to G assist for the 3 cuz you draw A LOT. (Just throw away draw PGs or crits since they don't go to soul) (Playing 12 draws also helps in finding your g3)

- You don't deck out since you loop the second you ride g3. You have plenty of deck left at that point. - Bobo is GB. This deck almost never ever strides and can't G-guard. You can easily win with even 1 or 2 damage. If your opponent decides to pass turn from turn 1 till the end of times, you lose. I went into the tournament on the assumption that no one would do something so over-the-top. Now that the secret is out, they would and thus the deck is not nearly as good anymore.

I SO heavily considered nightmareland crits but I valued the "10k to pass" on NLK swings into crits a bit more. As well as shield or defensive value when someone decides to go hard on the rush. To be honest, to this day, I'm still not sure which one of the 2 crits I prefer. It's the one thing that's debatable in this list. Anything else is set in stone.

I have a friend who played this deck [kinda well, he just learned this recently]. However, a few of us saw that this deck kinda just deckout real easily once they does not get damage since he can't do the A hole loop. Just saying, this deck still dies if you doesn't gives it damage
Yes, you can keep this deck at 0 damage and win, but if you give them 1-2 damage, you die :) Almost no one assumed they should pass turn for the first 4 turns.
it says something when for a large amount of this deck profile hes basically saying as a person who is considered pretty familiar with this deck as he won a major tournament "this deck is broken, bushi please fix"
Assassin should be limited to 1. I thought regular NLK was a bit inconsistent from time to time so I was semi "okay" with it. It could be beaten by Ange/Luard/a good rush. This variant? Idkk, you have to not attack me for like 4 turns straight and then kill me in 1 turn... Have fun with that. Shit needs to be hit.
Take these 2 situations: A) - Opening hand: Dimension Creeper, Prisoner Beast, X, X, X - Ride Dimension Creeper - Call Prisoner Beast - Soul charge 1 Next turn you ride g2, then g3, stuff happens. Overall soul charging done by the 1 Prisoner Beast when you're on your g3 turn = 1 card. B) - Opening hand: Dimension Creeper, Yellow Bolt, X, X, X - Ride Dimension Creeper - Call Yellow Bolt - Rest Yellow Bolt - Soul Charge 1 - Next turn, ride grade 2 - Rest the same Yellow Bolt - Soul Charge 1 - Next turn, ride grade 3 - Rest the same Yellow Bolt - Soul Charge 1 Overall soul charging done by the 1 Yellow Bolt when you're on your g3 turn = 3 cards. Prisoner Beast will always do 1 soul charge and that's it. Yellow Bolt will do 1 soul charge every single turn. So if you get either at the same time, they do just as much, but if you get Yellow Bolt even 1 turn earlier, he's already putting in double the work the Prisoner Beast would.

I have a friend who played this deck [kinda well, he just learned this recently]. However, a few of us saw that this deck kinda just deckout real easily once they does not get damage since he can't do the A hole loop. Just saying, this deck still dies if you doesn't gives it damage
Yes, you can keep this deck at 0 damage and win, but if you give them 1-2 damage, you die :) Almost no one assumed they should pass turn for the first 4 turns.

Assassin should be limited to 1. I thought regular NLK was a bit inconsistent from time to time so I was semi "okay" with it. It could be beaten by Ange/Luard/a good rush.

As a noob, i really don’t see how Yellow Bolt is better than Prisoner Beast. Can someone further explain, please?
Take these 2 situations:
A)
- Opening hand: Dimension Creeper, Prisoner Beast, X, X, X
- Ride Dimension Creeper
- Call Prisoner Beast
- Soul charge 1
Next turn you ride g2, then g3, stuff happens. Overall soul charging done by the 1 Prisoner Beast when you're on your g3 turn = 1 card.
B)
- Opening hand: Dimension Creeper, Yellow Bolt, X, X, X
- Ride Dimension Creeper
- Call Yellow Bolt
- Rest Yellow Bolt
- Soul Charge 1
- Next turn, ride grade 2
- Rest the same Yellow Bolt
- Soul Charge 1
- Next turn, ride grade 3
- Rest the same Yellow Bolt
- Soul Charge 1
Overall soul charging done by the 1 Yellow Bolt when you're on your g3 turn = 3 cards.
Prisoner Beast will always do 1 soul charge and that's it.
Yellow Bolt will do 1 soul charge every single turn. So if you get either at the same time, they do just as much, but if you get Yellow Bolt even 1 turn earlier, he's already putting in double the work the Prisoner Beast would.
