ONE DESIRE released their self-titled debut to massive acclaim. With a true hit single, 'Hurt' (nearly 2 million views on RUclips, 3 million streams on Spotify) the band found their way to the forefront of the melodic rock scene. A couple of successful European tours with Eclipse and H.E.A.T were followed by more dates and festivals through the end of 2017, before the band headed back to the studio to start work on their sophomore release.
In the works for a little over two years, the resulting album “Midnight Empire” generously repays the long wait the fans have had to suffer for new music from the band. It’s a more mature, at times adventurous, album, but still with an unbelievable hookiness that fans know and love from the debut. This is simply your album of the year if you like, no LOVE Melodic Rock. It’s going to be quite impossible to top this!

Long life to AOR! I 'm 48 and I was raised listening to the great metal and rock bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Scorpions, AC/DC...but my love for heavy and rock music is so big that I'm a huge fan of almost all styles of rock music.
Many years ago I discovered the AOR genre (Adult Oriented Rock), and to me is one of the most beautiful rock styles you can listen to. This has been a huge discovery, the music, the rythm, the voices...Wonderful!

For 5 minutes I thought I was back in the 80s. I was a young man then. Glad to hear a band keeping this genre alive and well.
So many great parts in this song. I love the breakdown at 3 minutes in then at 3:05 the beat kicks in with Jimmy’s solo. I hope this band continues to keep the music we love alive.

What a great song - powerful, Melodic, modern and healthily nostalgic at the same time. But what really puts this piece of work on another level is Mr. Juurikkala's contribution to visualize the song. I haven't seen such a tasteful and atmospheric video for this kind of music in ages.
One Desire might very well be the next big thing from Suomi.
I have this CD now. This is one of those CDs that you can just put on and listen to the entire thing on repeat. Really not a weak song on the entire album

I've been listening to this song on repeat since yesterday. Oh man what a great song, the voice is lovely. I am born in the mid 80s so i was too young to even remember the decade, but bands like these always remind me of how great 80s must have been :/ shame i wasn't old enough to experience it. Amazing song! I must have listened to it 20 times in a row. The great thing about this band is the singer has a very distinct voice and doesn't sound like anyone else (that I've heard of). You can definitely pick out a One Desire song out easily. I can't wait until the whole album comes out. Looks like the release date has been pushed back until May 20.
