Thanks - I'm really excited that I can start to create vids like this with unique, never before seen images because we have an artist on staff now creating them! Look for more soon!
The two, below, who had commented negatively- please do not allow people like them discourage you. It is a fine thing you are doing for the public. Many will benefit from all of your efforts. Believe me, whole lot of the men really need to learn about the styles. Even when they lack the finances, there's no excuses to dress horribly. People are judged first by appearance, then the core. It is just nature, that. That is how we consider whether or not to connect. A learned instinct passed through our genes for eons. Etc...etc. Again, thank you. I will remember your advices when shopping for my husband's wears. Good luck.
Great information . I just bought a suit I didn’t pay attention and the shoulder divots too visible to my taste. My wife said is ok but I’m so unhappy about it
Thanks for the guide, Antonio. I have my graduation in a few weeks and have been trying to find the best suit on my budget but haven't known exactly what to be looking for, fit-wise. This has certainly helped!
Really helpful video. I bought an off-the-rack blazer from a department store and I was adamant that the size I picked was the right size but the store assistant thought it was too small. After seeing these guidelines I'm sure that I have made the right choice!
I went to find my first suit in 20 years and met a retired custom tailor who has become a great source if knowlege and influence, Was invited to his church tonight yet i was already invited to another church " Reason for getting the suit" I think ill go to the tailors church on sunday just because he could actually see the suit on me and he seems like a decent human so out of respect for our father " I am a firm believer in father sends signs to us that we must take heed" Nothing happens in this existense that father doesnt send our way!! GOD WORKS THROUGH OUR HANDS! Thank you sir
Thank you for uploading this video! Your advice is extremely helpful. Furthermore, the explanations of what to look for in a suit's fit are well laid out and easy to understand.
Antonio, long time viewer, first time poster. Really enjoyed this video. I recently found myself on a trip to las vegas and ended up picking up a name brand suit off the rack. Nothing compares to bespoke but I think you should make a video comparing the different quality of certain brands and which body types they would compliment (i.e. ralph lauren, hugo boss, armani, etc) Keep up the good work my friend
This video is well detailed thumbs up By the way can you make a do's and don't about men fasion like for the body built. Sport, casual dress must have. That would be great
Awesome video, explained everything concisely. When my brother says that my sleeve length was too short I wouldn't believe him thinking that they were just right, so yeah, thus vid helped a lot. Side note, the illustrations for the seat all look like faces, really funny.
Although some of your comments are noted, there are quite a few that are dated. I wear mostly Lanvin and Paul Smith suits and there is no way I would wear them exactly the way you describe, especially with regards to the pants. Thanks for the video though.
Hi Antonio! This is perhaps a stupid question. Should i cut the string holding the back flaps together? Also, should I cut the strings holding the pockets together? Love the channel btw! And I've finally managed to get a job that allows me to dress sharp!
Hola Antonio. Comparty este video (que creo es el mejor que has producido hasta ahora) en un grupo en google+ llamado 'Man's fashion' y esta siendo la locura. Muy buen trabajo!
I tried a suit on in store and bought it online with longer sleeves I hope it fits cuz boy I tell ya not to be vain or anything but I look amazing in a suit that fits
great tips antonio, have u ever posted a video about tie n tie knots? if there isn't one i would appreciate it so much if u could post one about tying a perfect tie. thanks!
You tend to see a few bad fitting suits on people because of hand me downs in family, like father to son or uncles or like older brother to little brother. I definitely need a tailored suit, it's been almost 2 years since I've worn one and It's coming onto a year now since I've taken up bodybuilding, I definitely have bigger shoulders, chest and quads. Wonder how Ryan deals with his suits, speaking of you two should do another vid together, last one was great.
I don't get it. How can you advocate how important a good fitting shoulder is, when your own jackets don't fit your shoulders... in any of your videos? Shoulder rumpling and upper sleeve divots every time.
Nutrient Coma he seems to be standing up and even if he bends his elbow this way, it shouldn't do what it does. either his shoulder pads are 3cms too wide or his sleeve wrongly put in. either way, he is not the guy I would take as an example.
Hey Antonio, what about stretching in the top-back of the jacket? Would stretching down the middle indicate the jacket is too small? One of the sales associates at the suit shop I went to told me having some stretching is ok and then she really stretched it out to show me what's not ok
Hi Antonio.. A Thing i kinda miss in this video is how the trousers should fit in the front.. Other than that i really live your videos :-) I went to a store earlier today and tried on A few suit, with your advises, and fund A really nice off-the-rack charcoal suit.. All wool and almost perfect fit.. So thank you very much for all your videos.. Hope one Day i will get the oppurtunity to shake your hand and thank you in person.. Keep up the good work, videos and good spirit!

I am in the arena for a new dark navy blazer, mainly for casual wear, and looking for something a bit more "trendy" (slightly shorter length wise, but not tight where the "Dreaded X" is an issue). My questions are; what material should I go for if given an option; cotton or wool?-- and also, what kind of buttons is considered "high end", or classic/traditional? Thanks everyone!!
Hey guys, So I have a suit that fits perfectly everywhere but one place; the sleeves. I'm not sure how to explain it but basically the "armpit" is too low, which means when I raise my arms all the shoulder comes up. Instead of where the sleeve meets the body of the suit going straight up into my armpit, it sits about an inch below and I haven't seen any videos or articles about it. Any advice?
Great video, Thanks. Quick question, on a two button suit, when buttoned, should the tie be seen through the opening below the buttoned button (A proper length tie. Or if without tie, the belt buckle)? If it does, what does it mean? too wide o too tight? David
Great tips, sir. I have a question regarding the "wearing ease" for a slim fit suit. I'm having a suit made to measure. I am a small man with a 34.75" chest. I noticed the tailor update my garment measurements to a 38.5" and would like to understand what is a proper "wearing ease" for myself. I have an erect & upright posture with about a 4" drop to my stomach. Thanks, sir.
Any advice about chambray Blazers and shirts? How to style them and such. As well as what to wear for an internship interview because I'm in college for engineering
Thank you for your answer. So I shouldn't worry too much about lapel width if the suit is classy and fits well? I think I look great in it, but I worry about the lapels. How about lapel width on a blazer or sports jacket?
Hi Antonio, love watching your videos very informational. I have a question, what are your thoughts on the Mods Suit. Bum Freezer, Slim Silhouette, Shorter Pants. My body is what you can call "stumpy", I'm around 5' 5" my upper body is long and short legs, and basically a dad bod (belly of a 4months old pregnant lady) but I'm really interested in the Mods style. What are your thoughts and what would you suggest. Cheers
Breaking the rules can be fun as well... Personally I like how you have those slight shoulder divots in your jacket. Every single one of my suits has something slightly wrong with it and I like that way... A little bit Gianni Agnelli.

K Halliday thank you for the kind words - appreciate it
I do rec hand-me-downs if the fit is right and the style is timeless/classic.
Can you do a video on dry cleaning and how many wares we should get in between cleanings etc. Love your videos thanks.
Great information . I just bought a suit I didn’t pay attention and the shoulder divots too visible to my taste. My wife said is ok but I’m so

This is impressive Antonio, you have proven to listen to the feedback of your audience. Truly amazing. Keep it up!
This is the best video I have seen. I like how you use illustrations. It makes a world of difference. Thank you!
We have - check out Art of Manliness overcoats.....along with the trench.....but they could be made better definitely!
Cool, I am glad it helped you.
On the list - we actually have the articles written, working with my artist to get the images completed soon!

Yes - I should do a video on this because years ago I didn't know this either!
I went to find my first suit in 20 years and met a retired custom tailor who has become a great source if knowlege and influence, Was invited to his church tonight yet i was already invited to another church " Reason for getting the suit" I think ill go to the tailors church on sunday just because he could actually see the suit on me and he seems like a decent human so out of respect for our father " I am a firm believer in father sends signs to us that we must take heed" Nothing happens in this existense that father doesnt send our way!! durand001 Thanks for the feedback!
You should make a video about how to wear a trench coat or overcoat for the winter. If you haven't already
Great job Joe!
Happy to hear we nailed it here sir!
Great as usual. Would love to see more business-casual... In the tech industry suits are worn once a year if that.
Happy to hear you caught that!
You are welcome!
Sounds like the design and fit - might not be fixable as its related to the fit across your back and hips.
Have an entire book on that coming out!
Right now I have that article at Art of Manliness - the video will have to wait till I am back in Texas :)
Learned many things from you VLOGs. I, too have started to build my own wardrobe with bespoke pieces.
This is exactly the type of content I subscribe for. Nicely done.
Great you find it useful!
It can - but this is like changing the position of your driveshaft - just a tad off balance here can throw the whole look off.
Another great video Antonio - the illustrations are especially useful.
Thank you Andres - very much appreciated!
This is an excellent presentation. Hats off to you Antonio!
Thank you Cool Chann!
Great video, need frequent updates as I'm watching this in 2020.
Thank you Hassan!

You earn one subscriber, sir!!! 👌👌
Great video! Seems I've made the right decisions when I bought my suits!
This video was a great idea. Useful for everyone.
I have a database we're building out - think 500+ brands with detailed analysis...........trying to get it to you guys before December!
Yes - but he I building new trousers and it may not be worth the cost!
Thank you.
Great to hear!
That is true, but I was a Quantico guy!
Good advice!

Nice videos you make I enjoy watching them you are an excellent orator and I appreciate the tips
Yea - it was fashionable a while back......
Coming!
Thank goodness :)

I bought a coat off the rack and it fits me almost perfectly.

"You're wearing a 44, when you should be wearing a 42 regular."..
"I don't know if I should help you or euthanize you"
Always good, tasteful advice. Love you man
Antonio, will moving the top button across a little help alleviate the 'dreaded x'?
I don't get it. How can you advocate how important a good fitting shoulder is, when your own jackets don't fit your shoulders... in any of your videos? Shoulder rumpling and upper sleeve divots every time.
I don't get it either. It's even funny that "shoulders" is the first topic and that that is exactly what doesn't fit for the person presenting this.

Sloan S Bingo! I'm 11sec in and I'm already looking for earlier posts on the subject (I watched the jpeg chart first).
Did you watch the video? He talks about this at 6:10 to demonstrate what a shoulder divot looks like.
A number of these basics were covered at Paris Island I recall.
Very nice information sir
That is the mystery :)
thanks for your help

Yep. My suit is a little too big. Luckily I got a 28 day return/exchange
What I have always wondered is where to place the waist of trousers when getting hem set. What do you suggest?
Can you cover how to get tailored for Conceal Carry?
Great Video as always
His suit is not a perfect fit too.. At start look at his shoulder
not a suit, it's a sports jacket, should be a little larger.
He actually mentioned that
