- Our technicians Fi & Chris at KWMC The Factory show you how to use pine resin with coffee grounds or jute fibres, to make a small 'bioplastic' pot.
What other ingredients or food waste could you try adding to the pine resin?

🔥CAUTION: Pine resin is highly flammable, so I would not recommend using these pots as candles holders, or using them anywhere near an open flame.
Hey there could you actually make plant pots with this sap?Assuming you are using a bigger mold ?And what about the thinner walls to make the pot, will it still be durable?Maybe another experiment?
Good idea .
Thanks.
excellent
Hi these are amazing. Would this be safe outside? I've read that pine resin is quite flammable!
it looks really nice!
can you share for how long does it last before biodegrading?
and also, do you have any experience with it in outdoor conditions?
Is it water proof?
What is the heat tolerance?
What liquids if any will cause pitting or degradation?
What does this smell like while being made? I mean, should you open the windows and tell people to stay away from your house for the day?
Hi, I have read that pine resin dissolves with alcohol or benzene, did you any if these for it to disolve?
Hi there, I have a question . I tried to melt the pine resin, but it burned. Shall I had to use the powder from it instead of using it in its normal condition that is look like rocks ?
hi, does the coffee make the resin stronger? thanks
Is it resistant to hot water?
it behaves juste like soft plastic so it will bend and start getting liquid if you use it for hot liquids
@@clockdragon515 Looking for a way to get a strong bioplastic with the addition of natural glue?? Resists hot water in the form of a cup for drinking tea
@@clockdragon515 A strong glue that binds natural materials and is more water-resistant ؟؟
@@rahimimoussa1475 well it is water resistant and it binds materials really well but to my knowlendge, natural rubber from certain plants sap would be more heat resistant but i don't kown if it is safe for consuption
@@clockdragon515 What kind of plants can extract natural rubber? Really, I want to find a natural gum that is more solid and resistant to hot water
Is this hot water resistant ??? Can it hold hot soup ???
it will start to bend and become soggy if for a long time but i would generally try not to pour any liquids above 40° qo it would not start going liquid
