    The situation that Josh came into was infinitely more challenging then what mahomes and burrow came into. I mean his receivers when he started were Kelvin Benjamin and Robert Foster. He was then given John Brown and Cole Beasley finally in this third season he had stef diggs. Burrow had Tyler Boyd T Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase when he was drafted and mahomes had Andy Reed, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce right off the bat. Allen literally turned the bills around by sheer will. Counting those first two seasons against Allen, for not making it farther in the playoffs is unfair. The organization was in such shambles and was finally coming g out of 20 years of crap

      Mahomes got to sit his entire rookie year behind Alex smith and learn. Allen got tossed into the fire immediately and somehow made it through with his confidence still in tact

      Greene said it best. If Allen had Andy Reid and the situation that mahomes got, he (Allen) would be considered the greatest of all time. Regardless of everything, Allen is still a machine and one of the greatest of all time.

    I’m on team McDermott! He’s got us this far and who’s currently available that will keep the culture in tact? Not saying they can’t find that just think it’s too soon to run him out of town. Players have to execute and not turn the ball over

      Exactly. You don't fire a HC with his resume and everything he's done just because of one season where they MIGHT miss the playoffs. I just find it weird how McDermott gets blamed for things that if we're being honest he has little control over... but no one EVER brings up our opponents scoring points off of JA's turnover's in games where they lose by a single score. It's as if some fans are trying to deflect blame away from Allen by putting everything on McDermott.

      Biggest issue with McDermott is that he’s a terrible game manager. He’s a great Team builder, motivator, and a great defensive mind but can’t over come his own mistakes in game management situations. The question is, is tf McDermott can take this team over the hump with a QB who is in his physical prime.

    Love McD as a man, and a team leader but I agree with some that the guy doesn't have a great knack for decision making on Sundays. The 13 seconds game management may very well have cost us a superbowl, but just this season here are some major mistakes:
    1. Playing Von Miller vs Jacksonville. We could have won that game with a healthy edge rusher in Von's place. It was embarrassing to watch him try to make a play when he clearly wasn't ready to be on the field. Sean watches them every day in practice, hard to believe he got talked into that.
    2. Benching James Cook vs Denver. Just a ridiculous move that only served to make a bad situation worse. Cook was our best weapon against that team which he proved in the second half of the game but for some reason Sean felt it was best to not play the guy for the entire 1st half after the fumble.
    3. 12 men on the field vs Denver. Cmon man, you're the head coach, you have 50 employees and another 50 players staring at the field, including yourself. The substitutions should have been done on the prior play and a simple head count system gets us the win there and we're now one game back from Miami. Embarrassing.
    4. Clock management and end of half/game strategy should be meshed together so our offense/defense knows what is going on. The Philly game was ridiculous in that sense, and so was the Chiefs game at the end of the 1st half (Josh yelling "what are we doing? give me something!") with the play clock down to 15 seconds. Cmon man. In Philly's case it cost us the game, and it almost cost us the Chiefs game.
    There are a bunch of other examples but at the very least the Bills need to give Sean a TON of in game support from the booth. He has shown to have no knack or feel for in game decisions so lets help the guy so we don't have to rely on Toney's foot being over the line to cover up another poorly managed game. Sean needs to delegate far more of the in game stuff to the guys that have a talent for it, because its just not in him and that's OK.
    Front office indirectly said they'll will be hiring a DC next year, so that will take pressure off him and hopefully a legit OC unless Brady shows us more this season. He is a great leader outside of the 3 hours on Sundays, maybe one of the best in the league in that regard.

      @@cjb3377 Josh Allen is the least of this team's issues. It's the coaching staff's responsibility to game plan accordingly for the opponent and step up in these situations. That's the difference at playoff time. When has the coaching EVER been a difference maker in games? This staff can't recognize they need a true #2 WR either. Look at what Hopkins could have added. They double down on the defense at every opportunity. Settling for FG's, kneeling out before overtime. Something needs to change and it's not Josh right now.

    Look, the weak link on this team is the coach. Ever since Sean became head coach of the Bills he doesn’t know how to manage time correctly throughout the game. This was so obvious that I thought he would learn from his mistakes but I was wrong. He still is not utilizing the time correctly. He has a awesome quarterback who can march down the field and get a touchdown or even a field goal with less then a minute before the half, but instead he will have them kneel. He thinks that they will come out on the second half with having possession of the ball first and march it down the field and score. All of the sudden they don’t and the get caught up behind the game. Why ! Because he failed to use that time they had in the first half. This is some of what I witnessed what Sean does and for some reason he cannot or will not correct this flaw. Bill’s fan this is why we are loosing some of these games. “ Time Management “

    My take on McDermott is that he is a great Rah, Rah type coach and "preacher", sincere to a fault, but he is not intellectually astute nor nuanced enough at a level to be a great head coach. What coach, other than McDermott, would even ever think to use an analogy or comparison of being on the same page and communicating efficiently to terrorists bent on death and destruction. Huh? Seriously. That to me, that was beyond any doubt, the dumbest and most egregious, verbal diarrhea used to date in the NFL by a head coach to spark his team, bar none; and ultimately a sign of his ineptitude as a head coach in the NFL.
    But there is so much more than that. I will not jump on Team McDermott right now just because they beat the Chiefs this past Sunday. Broncos and Eagles games. There is a pattern here, people. McDermott has dropped the ball many times, fumbled the ball many times, and on and on and on. He needs to be held accountable and demoted to DC and we need to bring in a head coach. Josh Allen is way more important to the team. Make Josh Allen Great Again!!!

    • @Brianp150H
      @Brianp150H 10 месяцев назад

      The folks that defend McDermott's coaching are content with status quo. There needs to be more expected at this point in his tenure now. Why is this team losing games they have no business losing, year after year? That's a significant reason why they aren't progressing further in the playoffs. They've squandered getting the #1 seed and that is on the coaching staff.
