Here are some tips to common problems: Animation not WORKING: Make sure that your animation is OWNED by you and that BOTH IDs are changed. Animation not LOOPING: Make sure that your animation is set to LOOPED. When you create the animation, you have to enable the looping in the animation editor itself. Run animation not working: For run to work, your character's speed must be higher than the default of 16 (which is considered walk). Hope this helps!
if u guys are doing animations on r6 and you followed all the steps but its not working, what u have to do is go to game settings, publish the game, then go to game settings again and go down to avatar and select r6
If you are doing this later on, Roblox did a goofy update that makes you need to publish the game and go to Game Settings and set the Avatar to "R6" (or "R15" depends what you're doing) and then set "Animation" to Standard. If you are doing R6 and the character doesn't do your animation, move around a couple times till it happens, the R15 animations will still try to work (and fail) even though it aint R15
You have to change your animation type in Game Settings located in the home section. It's the Gear Icon. Once there go to Avatar and then change Animation from PLAYER CHOICE to Standard. If it remains on Player Choice, then I believe the players animation will take priority and overwrite any changes. I don't know where the script is for the overwrite but I think the script may direct an order to obtain the information if players Choice is :TRUE. From the looks of it this setting may not revert which is why many tutorials don't mention this.

That’s very weird. You did all the steps correctly. Are you sure you’re doing the animation for your character? Is the animation made for your character? If your character is R15 are you trying it on R6

When I try uploading animations, the button at the bottom that says “upload” is not there for me. So when I try uploading, I can edit the name a description but can’t actually upload the animation. How do I fix that?

the thing happened to me too you just have to resize it like move ur cursor on the top side of the uploading window, drag it down to size it down and then move it up so u can see the button, you don't have to restart studio

always remember put the same pose that the start was to loop for a run or idle or walk

Make sure your rig is the same as the animation

That could be because you’re trying to play a r6 animation on an r15 character or the other way around

You can also get your animation id from the roblox “my animations” page
