His lyrics in English are growing up and I think this one is virtually on a par with his Italian ballads.
Trastevere" is the first song in English where Damiano really matches the depth and beauty of his Italian lyrics. I've heard that during the 15-day June session in Milan where they recorded the 5 new additions to "Rush", they worked on about 50 songs. "
This is the most beautiful and painful song, I adore it. My very favourite.

Damiano and Thomas composed the song in Trastevere Thoma's home. As Damiano explained in Spotify it's about a conversation with the devil. It's also my favorite between the new songs. The correct pronunciation is with the accent on the first e. 😄
On the other songs they had a ton of songwriters and producers around them who had they'e say. Now it's only them.

These songs have been composed, recorded and arranged by the same team. No Max Martin Rami Jacub etc. Only Fabrizio Ferraguzzo, the same producer they used for Teatro d'Ira Volume 1, but in a different music recording studio in Milan, Italy. Not the one in Acquapendente they user for Teatro d'Ira.

Trastevere (the name means "beyond the Tiber", the river that once bordered the city center) is now the neighborhood where Thomas lives. No... not only this, it is a place with a thousand things to see and experience, but this song was born at Thomas' house one evening when Damiano went to visit him. Yes, the song is beautiful but I don't think it's underrated. Or maybe it's only from kids who want to jump and romp.
Trastevere had already been performed (but it didn't have a name and wasn't finished) at the Circus Maximus in Rome, always performed only with voice and guitar.
Damiano said that the song is about a pact with the Devil which they then try to break at the end of the song.
Nice reaction, I really like it too and like you I think it won't have as much success as Valentine but I believe and hope that when they have consolidated themselves even more in the world they will be able to go back to making more songs like this.

@@morwanas oh I know they played it in Circo Massimo as well. But that's when it was still unfinished. Brisbane was the first time they played the completed version sonce it's release

Trastevere is an area in Rome, I agree is an underrated song. You can see them on you tube from last night concert in Australia doing this beautiful song live.

A couple of days ago, in Brisbane Australia, Ethan accompanied Thomas with another acoustic guitar. It added something very interesting (similar to elementary polyphony) that could open new realms for them.

/Tras'tevere/, pronounced with the stress on the second syllable, means "trans Tevere" ("across from the Tiber river"). Tevere is the river that crosses Rome. Trastevere is an old, colourful neighborood of Rome where Damiano used to busk with his mates. Anyway, you can't really say to enjoy this song if you haven't listened to it at least a few times.😀😀

Trastevere (as you write you read E it's a simple E in italian) is a famous iconic, romantic district in Rome.
Secondo me, avrebbero dovuto aspettare e pubblicare un nuovo album, non capisco perchè hanno deciso di allungare Rush. Spero abbiamo altre canzoni come Trastevere in futuro.
It's quite simple. Thanks to the co writers who translate his lyrics into English syntax, Damiano can also sing his passion in English and the band can somehow return to its origins. Also in this song there is a second guitar that accompanies Thomas' magic...Ethan plays it!

I (& thousands of others tbf) were blessed to have witnessed this live last night in Melbourne. Goosebumps on steroids inducing.❤❤ After watching hundreds of concert vids over the last 2yrs, the concert was everything l thought it'd be and then some.

As an Italian and a Roman, I can say that I adore my fellow Maneskin citizens. every time I hear their songs (all of them obviously), I hear in their genre a mix of: Red hot chili peppers - Depeche Mode - The Cramberries - Rolling Stones - U2. Even if they say they don't want to be categorized into any musical genre. I agree with them 😉🤟❤️ I think that their "mix" and also inserting a lot of their own, give life to a new genre of music that excites different people who like different musical genres. TOP 😃
