I've been dreaming that Synology would just sell their software so we can install on any machine so thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Vielen vielen Dank für das Video das hat mir sehr geholfen. Jetzt werde ich das auch mal bei mir ausprobieren ob das nicht auch klappt.
Are you worried about using a jailbroken software for your real data? Could also have bugs and other instability that could cause data loss.
ive followed the Xpenology project for a long time It is open source and I speak with the devs quite a lot. I have a masters in computer science, so I can read and write code very easily. I would never recommend some grey area software ever. read the code for yourself on github. all its doing is providing the xorrext bootlader for the pat file to run on. like a hackintosh is still running full mac os 😊
What's the Nvidia GPU model and why use it on a NAS ?

The SA6400 epyc7002 seems to have almost all the options packaged without installing additional add-ons?
Any firewall? Or any security? It is easy get hacked? It is save for long run?
Short answer I'd give from personal experience running this many years ago is it's fun to try out or test but shouldn't be a daily driver. It's basically like a Hackintosh and is hard to get stable and update correctly. Plus Surveillance Station will limit you to 2 cameras and even if you opt to buy licenses from Synology they allegedly won't activate on XPEnology
There are far better options like Proxmox, Unraid, TrueNAS, etc.
I have quite a lot of security I will go through on the next video
the sound wtf
was there something wrong with the sound
I can hear my mic is a bit off. I will fix it for the next video
