Hi, I’m a week in with instant locs. I’ve been doing some research … some people say you won’t have budding with instant locs and they will not thicken. You mentioned in your one month journey your locs will not bud is this because you were told the same thing? I’m glad I came across your video. Definitely will be following your journey. Thank you for sharing!
Hi thank you so much for asking this question. Yes I was told that with instant Locs they will not bud but THIS ISNT TRUE. I’m about to be 6 months instant Loc’d and there is definitely budding and my locs are thickening up. The size of your bud will typically be the size your loc thickens up to be.
With instant Locs it’s basically just the form and appearance that your hair is loc’d already but it’s not. It just holds the shape of a loc. Each month your hair will go through changes and you’ll start to see your hair budding into your instant Locs. Congrats on your loc journey. I’m going to be posting a 6 month loc update soon. I’ll be 6 months on September 9th and I’ll show in the video that my hair is budding but I was told otherwise lol. It’s only because people think since it’s instant loc’d that that’s it. Instant Locs still mature just like any other starter locs. look out for my 6 month loc update soon 💕
