Pete I always enjoy this type of content. This, and flipping through the old game magazines, looking at your Sega collection on the shelves, are such a treat.
Yes! More of these laid back style videos of just going down memory lane with games. N64 was my first console so it's cool to listen to your memories as it's been a minute since hearing you talk 64.
Man that thumbnail makes me cry. Paper Mario was such a big game from my childhood and when I went off to college, my younger brother sold all of our N64 games for weed money. What a damn shame.
oof dat sucks. I stupidly gave all my n64 games to a friend. i thought i didnt want em anymore, but i totally regret it now, and i dont even talk to guy i gave it to anymore. now im slowly rebuying all the games i gave away on ebay, but the price is so much higher now, arghhhhhh
My best friend and I played DKR for nearly 24 hours straight when it first came out trying to unlock everything. My friend drank so much Mountain Dew and ate so many Skittles that night that he puked all over the carpet in my parent's game room. Good memories.
I think the comment of having friends impacting the n64 is so real. I remember setting up Smash Bros and playing with friends and even just watching CPUs go against each other sometimes rooting for them made great memories. I can't imagine enjoying the console solo.
Love this style of video, Pete. Haven't watched your channel in years, this kind of content will definitely keep me coming back. I used to binge your channel in "the old days" (2011-2013ish) where you did tons of lists, gaming memories, etc. PLEASE do more videos in this style
Definitely do more videos like this Pete. Love the reminiscing especially. Some games are more about the memories than the actual games themselves in my opinion.
The pangs of nostalgia are real whenever I see some of these N64 classics in their boxes. I remember the days when we could just walk in and get them off the shelf (in pristine condition) in most department stores. My first game was Goldeneye (still have this on display in it's box too) and yes I had the golden controller to the dismay of my fellow chums I'd play split screen with. Those multiplayer sessions were my favourite gaming memories. Btw loved Diddy Kong and I liked it more than Mario Kart too! But then Rare was my fav developer for the system.
This was great. Wonderful Nintendo 64 games. I love Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Snowboard Kids, Snowboard Kids 2 which I love both and I think them adding a lot was how a sequel should be and I love both, Paper Mario, Bomberman 64 and Harvest Moon 64 they are amazing games on the Nintendo 64. The Nintendo 64 had so many wonderful games. Cool video. ^_^
Awesome video, Pete! I had to sell my CIB N64 collection a little over 10 years ago when I needed cash to move to start my life abroad after graduating from school. I do and I don't regret selling because it laid the foundation for a successful start to my now career, but a lot of the titles were my childhood copies. So even if I decided to buy them all back (at 5x the cost, don't forget about shipping), it would still feel a little hollow. I remember I had to clean off my name that was written in marker on the back of my cartridges; is that what selling your soul feels like?
I have so much nostalgia for the N64. I would have been around 9 and my brothers 4 and 5 when we got it. Dad got us an extensive library of games and we rented many more. I don't know what happened to all of our old systems, we had all the nintendos up to GameCube and I dont have any of them in my possession (my nuclear family is all passed on, so i cant ask them either). In any case, I can't realistically afford to rebuy the library I had, so im trying out some emulation for now. Bought a couple broken controllers and retrofit them with 8bitdo's mod kits for hall sticks and wireless capability. If me and my kids enjoy the games i might pull the trigger on an everdrive and either the upcoming Analogue 3D or an OG system and a retrotink. Thanks for the memories!
The pin hole thing, I think people do that cut and push that part of the box down inside. Then push the pin though the inside so it looks like it is floating on the wall. Cardboard was so unimportant back in the day. Putting it on display on like that was a bit more elegant than some of the other display efforts I've seen tacked to walls at least.
Really enjoy this video! Honestly just pulling out random games and talking about your history with them and how you got them is interesting enough. Doesn't matter how common the games are just interesting to hear your stories on each game.
This was such a cozy watch, and I appreciated that Episode I love at the end because I share your feelings about it. Count my vote for more of these for sure
Love this video! Would love for you to do more like this with your other collection. Even if its not protecting the game, just thoughts about the game, memories, your thoughts on the box art and how you got the game, etc would be nice!
The red side doesn't have a catch less likely to crease than opening on the yellow side at least on most n64 boxes or use a pocket knife to pop it open with no damage.
The PS4 version of SW Episode 1 Racer is great, I got it when it came out. I ended up selling my cib copy of it on N64, it's impossible for me to go back to that version now, it feels so slow in comparison
Its creasing because you are opening them from the wrong side thats why they dont open easily , its so painful to watch you doing that to every game lol
I know you stopped doing collection videos but this could be a way to see your collection and get ideas for our collection without doing “collection” videos
This is possibly the most "Pete Dorr" video ever made... and I love it
I second this
Pete I always enjoy this type of content. This, and flipping through the old game magazines, looking at your Sega collection on the shelves, are such a treat.

This is literally the best content, just relaxing talking bout games, anecdotes, asmr-ish sounds 10/10
Man that thumbnail makes me cry. Paper Mario was such a big game from my childhood and when I went off to college, my younger brother sold all of our N64 games for weed money. What a damn shame.
Sorry man

Only PeteDorr could make a video of himself literally cleaning dust off of old games and make it genuinely interesting.
I think the comment of having friends impacting the n64 is so real. I remember setting up Smash Bros and playing with friends and even just watching CPUs go against each other sometimes rooting for them made great memories. I can't imagine enjoying the console solo.
I loved this! Reminiscing while doing general chores/maintenance is a great idea. Love the chill storytelling vibe. Hope this isn't the last of these!

I bought some Acrylic protective cases for my SNES/N64 game boxes highly recommend them for the more pricey games like Paper Mario and stuff.
Definitely do more videos like this Pete. Love the reminiscing especially. Some games are more about the memories than the actual games themselves in my opinion.
Thanks for the video Pete! Those plastic protectors are a godsend for my cardboard boxed and steelbook games.
I loved all the reminiscing. I would love more videos like this and more N64 memories. Thanks Pete!

Good vid pete. I'd watch you do your entire n64 collection lol

Diddy Kong was totally the best! Had a single, player and three different crafts and fun courses and bosses
Great insights!
I love Episode 1 as well, the Movie, the PSX and N64 games are great
I like how you just casually talk and clean those games

More of this content please Pete, interesting stories, thankyou and Merry Xmas, HNY!!
I love the casual open ended feel
The asmr on this competes with sleepin with Pete and ebay hunting. Also, I like the phantom menace as well and I always defend jar jar.
I use retroprotection for cases. He doesn't do any branding on his. I agree, the cases make bad boxes look pristine.
I love when you do vids like this pete
Give me more Dustin' with Pete
N64 is the most cozy console
Hell yea
Really enjoy this video! Honestly just pulling out random games and talking about your history with them and how you got them is interesting enough. Doesn't matter how common the games are just interesting to hear your stories on each game.
What an utter delight this video is 😴😴😴
Fun video, Pete! It’s nice to just get your thoughts on these games as you box them up.
This was such a cozy watch, and I appreciated that Episode I love at the end because I share your feelings about it. Count my vote for more of these for sure
Thanks for showing how to use those protectors. Here I was wondering for years why my protectors are so cloudy. What, there's a film? xD
need more of this asap
Watched the whole thing and really enjoyed it!
Love this video! Would love for you to do more like this with your other collection. Even if its not protecting the game, just thoughts about the game, memories, your thoughts on the box art and how you got the game, etc would be nice!
I always make sure to have the flaps at the back and the line where it's glued toghther at the bottom.
dustin' with Pete
Loved this
Loved it, Pete. Thanks for it!
Reminds me of Jules Burt, if you know his channel. I like this content. Hopefully you do more like this.
I like Diddy Kong more then Mario kart !!! So good
Pete I hope you consider doing more Sonic collectible reviews! :)
I just get so endlessly happy when you upload any form of new video Pete. Maybe bring back some long form eBay game hunting! I can’t access twitch
Absolutely loved this video!! N64 is the best 😎
The red side doesn't have a catch less likely to crease than opening on the yellow side at least on most n64 boxes or use a pocket knife to pop it open with no damage.
would love to see more of this
Snowboard Kids... We used to play it all the time back then (with Mario kart 64 and Golden eye).
My second favorite console. The last best console made until the Switch.
I love these types of videos, thanks pete for a gem mint 10 ;D
The PS4 version of SW Episode 1 Racer is great, I got it when it came out. I ended up selling my cib copy of it on N64, it's impossible for me to go back to that version now, it feels so slow in comparison

Loved this vid
I threw away the boxes of N64 games when i was a kid 😪
Get box protectors without seams and logos, that's what I do.
I'm the crazy people who display yellow side out.
You could have made it longer. These kinds of videos are great to listen.
I got my N64 on launched day only because I got lucky and Super Mario 64 was my first game for that system.
Sissy Kong Racing is the best kart racer ever made. Easily.
jar jar apologist.
I know you stopped doing collection videos but this could be a way to see your collection and get ideas for our collection without doing “collection” videos
Please do more
I have nostalgia for the n64 but it's my least favorite now a days no jrpgs at all .
