We are a poor socialist country; we do not reward merit. We are obsessed with equity & representation of every caste, community & religion. We look at industrialists suspiciously. We want the rich to be taxed higher. We want a wealth tax. We want most of the budget to be used only for poverty alleviation schemes and for endless schemes & scholarships for minorities. Why would I want to stay, pay high taxes here & get nothing in return ?
A country is not and should purely be about competition but collective development. I think this fear of tax is actually an extremely fiscally conservative position. Most European countries have a much higher tax rate for the wealthy than India does, because they are concerned with the collective quality of life and development of ALL people. To ensure quality education and healthcare and better infrastructure, which is the basis of good life and mobility for all, governments have no option but tax the rich. And if you don't invest in education, healthcare and infrastructure, and social services and basic benefits, then the citizenry remains perpetually weak, unhealthy and unproductive, which would further affect development. It is important to remember: Competition is the sign of the jungle, cooperation is the sign of a civilization.

Cramming oriented syllabus is the centre of Indian education system due to which students study to pass only. This mindset encouraged by the Indian education system is obsolete and does not cater appropriately to the rapidly changing job scenario.This results in educated unemployment which is a shame on the nations economy.

For instance, Mr. Sundar of Google studied metallurgy in IIT, but the milieu that he got in MIT and his own prowess in academia made him a maestro of excellence and erudition.

Even IIT /IIM /AIIMS are of top notch college, any poor students can study there after clearing entrance exam at very low cost due to subsidy that govt.provides.

Guys, One thing in life you need to learn is discipline and schools are good at that. Phad me ja the syllabus and all that bullshit. What schools do is to prepare the candidate for real world which is changing every day and schools can’t keep up with the new technologies. Just be disciplined enough to learn new technologies and you will be fine.
Most government schools doesn't even have good teachers , same goes for some private school too. Only by tution or some other means one can excel . I think money factor matters and also matters one thing , the students adaptability to cope up to different situations.
What ever, every has to respect indian CASTE BASED EDUCATION system. Don't allow to study poor people ( CASTE wise or ECONOMY wise), Feel happy for allowing to study rich people only by telling "CASTE BASED EDUCATION"( doctor, engineer, scientist etc )
As per law, all govt school must ask the CASTE, not the name or surname. Teachers may not teach A,B,C,D... but must ask to CASTE and provide the books etc accordingly, Never treat all the children's (orphan children / beggars / daily labour / farmer / tribal / military etc) equally on all govt schools, Everything should be based on CASTE. CASTE BASED EDUCATION is the best education.
Indian govt(After 1947): CASTE BASED EDUCATION, Son of CM/Minister/Govt_employee/ metro tribes is eligible to study ( doctor, engineer, scientist etc ) but orphan children / beggars / daily labour / farmer / tribal / military etc... is not eligible to study.
British govt(Before 1947): Every one eligible to study without checking CASTE

There needs to be a more nuanced approach towards thinking about this.
1. Is it a big issue? Loads of Chinese students go to US or UK for their studies.
2. Education in India has become expensive. As Indians we look at value for money. The ROI of studying in a good university outside the country is well-known.
3. We Indians look at studying in other country as a status symbol. Pizza is costlier than Panner Paratha in India :)
4. For Indians who want to settle in other countries, have a better life style, studying in that country makes getting visa and getting a job easier.
5. There is a lot less competition compared to what we face in India.
6. Of course, the education system is a huge issue. If you look at education policy and incentives, there is too much focus on research but the infrastructure or the research culture is yet to be established. But, this is not just unique to India. Even US universities are facing a crisis.
It's unfortunate many of the celebrities/influencers just spit out answers that are incorrect or at best misleading. Speaking to a group of young kids who look up to you for inspiration and advice, It's better to provide pros and cons.
The examples that he provided of Satya Nadella and Pichai and other Indian-origin CEOs did their under graduation in India and then moved to US for higher studies and job opportunities.

The actual competition level in India is 3 times higher than that of USA( at the least).
People have started realising the quality of education in Canada and USA at school level to be lower already.

That's y students prefer for less competition outside India for ex, Med students. Jab sab ki body hi ek hai. So y need to face trouble & hectic competition in India.
We need to stop making such a big fuss about language, math n science that we forget everything else! Human mind is so capable and everyone‘s talent n destiny so unique that we need to provide space for all of that in the education system!
Our system should be focused of developing skills apart from the basic core education. Every kid should come out with at least 3 skills mastered by age 15 apart from being proficient in couple of languages, basic math n basic science. If they want to master more skills they can. Skills which can be converted into professions right away. Like they can be raring at the age of 15 that capable! All professions should be in the list of skill development. If they study further in to the subjects they can grow more in that field while also raring working hours. Why try to find small jobs here n there while studying? They should be able to work in their own skill set n field.
Primary should be Montessori and u can find interests n skills right there n keep developing on them while carrying out the core education. Skills development needs to be the equally important of a goal! There will be devoted classrooms for each n mastery certification will be required to move up!
Think about the industry this system alone devlops! Starting from the equipments needed in primary, to the no. Of skillful people needed for each skill education and the classroom, equipments, safety education! The no. Of jobs and skillful people it will develop!
What i fucking hate the most is people who bash our IES but don't have any logical explanation about how to improve it?

Curren rIndian education system was created by Britishers to produce clerks for British Raj since it was expensive to import workers from Britain in those times .

B.S. The system also produced people like CV Raman, Satyendra Nath Bose, Vikram Sarabhai... Failure has been post independence, where govt nationalised everything. Instead of letting private companies grow and create jobs...it nationalised everything. People get trapped in the charm of IITs, IIMs and UPSC, whereas irrespective of your background, you can be successful if you are a master in your field and passionate about it, which people like Vikram Sarabhai, Satyendra Nath Bose were passionate about their fields.
@@PulkitAgrawal1999 The British never meant to create scientist with that education. The education was for elite mostly or for conversion purposes of the masses hence missionaries were running the schools.
