Alaska is a truly spectacular state from the sky but keep in mind that it is one of the most dangerous states in the US not the bears it’s the humans be careful at all times everyone!

Great fly! What are your top favorite US regional airports? In other words, the airport flies within the US without international flight.

Well, I have to pick from the ones I have been to. XNA in Benotonville Arkansas, which is one of my home airports, is one of the best airports in the country IMO. It’s a regional airport, but has service to 23 destinations. All from a very nice terminal.

wowowowooww!!!! GREAT views coming into KTN!! That area gets like 200 inches of precipitation a year.

Yeah. Many people don’t realize that all these cities in Southeast Alaska are situated in a temperate rainforest area. They get a lot of rain.

@@sla31 Yes, that's right. They're in a temperate zone rain forest, just as we are down here in WA and OR and even the NW part of CA (think Redwood NP).
I've been to Milford Sound in NZ and that too is in a temperate zone rain forest. They get even MORE rain than in KTN. They get about 270 inches a year. It looks so prehistoric and primeval there that you really do expect to see a brontosaurus's head stick up from the beech trees.
The Norwegian coast is also a TZ rain forest. Same goes for the southern Chilean coast.
Fun fact: the Chilean fjords have more glaciers than Alaska and Norway combined.
Now THAT should be your next destination. You fly from DFW or ATL down to SCL and connect with domestic flights heading south.
Remember that their Spanish is a lot different that what you may be used to.
The southern hemisphere has a lot less land mass than up here and there's a lot less land to slow down the high ocean winds (The Roaring Forties and Furious Fifties) that when hitting the mountains, comes down as ample amounts of rain and snow.
