Hand Feeding Cute Wild Chipmunks at Salt Museum, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands, Spain.
On our holiday in Fuerteventura we visited Salt Museum /Salinas del Carmen/, there we found this little fella which are so cute, very adorable and pretty awesome.
The chipmunks there are now semi tame and will come to your hand for food.I loved watching it. This wild chipmunk can't stop eating, lol. So cute funny animal.
Although they are often referred to as Chipmunks, they are actually Barbary ground squirrels (Atlantoxerus getulus) - an invasive species that was introduced to the island in the 1960s.
