I know. Why aren't they voicing this over and over? There are numerous videos of lawyers saying it on RUclips so why does it not come up in court? Regular people, and especially the jurors, need to know that there was no crime committed.
So far, as I understand the proceedings, the prosecution has only called 1 witness so far, and it's this Pecker guy. What I have not heard is if the prosecution has ended their questioning and turned him over to the defense to be cross-examined yet. So either the defense has tried thru attempting to voice objections and have been denied, or they have not been allowed to cross examine yet.

I think there's a very simple answer to your question. If it were legal, Trump's attorneys would argue that. They're not dumb. They know Trump broke the law so they're using OTHER arguments to try and get a not guilty verdict. But this argument won't work cuz it's just not true. Sorry 😢.

If Trump was running for US Senator or US House of Representative out of the State of New York then those State campaign laws might apply. But it's the order and/or the sequence in which charges and/or violations of law are brought. If you're charged with a State crime the Feds could also charge with Federal crime. But if State authorities charge with a Federal crime, which i believe at least in some instances they can do so because, i don't know if they would also charge the same offense under State crime? That wouldn't seem to make any sense. If the Federal Government and the States are two seperate sovereigns. How could a State bring both Federal and State charges of the same crime? So if a Senator or a House of Representative from New York violated a campaign law the State would probably bring it's own charges, but not also Federal of the same kind (if there's jurisdiction). Right? Now here's where they run into a problem. The people running for President, like in Trump's case, they're running to be President of the United States which encompasses all 50 States. Alright Article 2 of the Constitution. Trump is not running for governor of New York or for Representative in the US Congress. To run for Senator or House Representative of the US Congress you have to be a resident of that State for a certain amount of years. That doesn't apply to the Presidency. The only thing that applies is you have to a natural born US citizen and you have to be 35 years or older. You're not representing any one State in the US Government. If State election campaign laws applied to a candidate running for the White House that could interfere in a US Federal election.

Maybe because it’s not closing arguments time yet and lawyers are not allowed to just jump up and say what they want. The judge has obviously not allowed them to make that statement yet but he can’t stop them at closing arguments.

Easy. Because it's not legal. Andy McCarthy could have explained that regular hush money is totally fine, but CAMPAIGN hush money is illegal. I think that was disingenuous of him. Fox News wants the narrative to be "witch hunt" which is why McCarthy didn't explain the difference to the audience.
Shouldn't Trump's lawyers object or at least fill the jury in themselves about the legal payments for a nondisclosure payments. If the judge isn't doing that then someone has to.
