I got one of these recently. Killer pedal! When you put the toggles to the right it just opens up. I’m surprised this pedal isn’t getting more chatter.
I did the same thing. Tumnus and Belle stack nicely. This one intrigues me, too. Love my old green screamer, so I can't wait to try this pedal out. My fly board is almost all Wampler mini pedals. If he did a delay, it'd be 100% (tuner doesn't count😉 ). Love his stuff! I see a Moxie in my future, I think.
@@tjk_9000 oh man, I want the Ego so badly. I played one for 2 minutes and it made a huge impression on me. Didn’t know if it was just the honeymoon phase.
Seems to make great pedals that people like. He only need better designers to make the pedals look attractive. But hey, that is only my own view on his pedals 👐🏼
I think Brian hit an home run with this one. Also think that the fat\mosfet option is going to put a lot of people looking for a "robben ford" kind of tone in this one. Cheers! HM
Haha, I know the feeling man, that sweet and painful wait. 😆 Thanks for watching it multiple times and enjoy the Moxie! I’m sure you’ll love it too. Cheers!
@@Smart-Alex Are you asking me or Pablo? 😅 I certainly like it more than my 808 reissue. Both are awesome but I can get so much more sweet sounds out of this one. And since it’s more of a TS10 style pedal, it has a bit wider frequency range than the ts808.
Thank you for your review - great work as always. Your videos help me as a beginner a lot. Is it possible you could do a comparison review between the Wampler Moxie and the KHDK Ghoul Jr? Both very similar, I think, but that would make it very interesting to hear them next to each other. Keep up the great work!
I saw the Wampler Belle on sale one day for $99 so I pulled the trigger. I am pretty sold on their products at this point and this seems to sound amazing. I was thinking about the new MXR Duke of Tone so this will give it a run for its money.
Finally, a TS I can love! I have a Boss Bd-2w Blues Driver, which sounds great with my humbucker guitars. But I was looking for a TS because I also play a Strat through my Gladio SC. Eureka, I have found it!
It seems a bit like the Dunes from EQD. Tubescreamer based. A voicing knob, a clipping knob( with mosfed). And just a few knobs. I like that pedal also very much.
Hey, Kris. If you remember my name, you know i'm a massive fan of your presentation, your playing, and your tone. But, i'd like to make a (hopefully) constructive suggestion: use a different amp. I *LOVE* the way that Re Dynamis sounds. It has that 'woody' thing, consistently, that i have been trying to get for years with other gear. But, i think it would be more revealing of the gear you're demoing to show it on a more 'neutral' amp. I know amps have 'colors' and characters, but i just think i'm always hearing that Rev when i hear that delicious tone you get with various other items. That is all. I'm gonna be with you either way....
I’m sure the Wampler Moxie is a good pedal with the voice switch and the fat switch, but I have a T Jauernig Gristle King v1 from 2006 that had those features already. For awhile now there has been a Gristle King V3 that is even better. I can’t say how similar they sound side by side, but there are definitely similarities with the switches that predated the Wampler Moxie. Has anybody tried the Wampler Moxie and a T Jauernig Gristle King and noted sonic differences? Just wondering how they differ in sound. Thoughts?
Oh the nice JM riff 🙂 And the return of the silver sparkle !! Great video as always Kris. You seem to really appreciate this one. Will you keep it on your board ?
Cant be helped, but when I listen to this pedal, my first reaction is Country. That pedal has something very country in its sound in all of the mode combination. I waited for bit with comment, to watch other videos about this pedal, but its in all of them. Dunno if it is TS10 thing (that pedal was never interesting for me) or just Brians love to Bred Paisley haha. Otherwise, there is loads of sounds in this, but it is still the same pedal. On some pedals, you change mode and it sounds like different pedal, what sometimes is quit iritating and its not happening here. Good demo as always, the mix and matching with different pedals was very interesting. Tone of the demo was Moxie into Toxic Twins for tight gained sound, that was surprisingly very convincing oldschool metal sound.
I really like Wampler... but neither my pinnacle or ratsbane have made it onto any of my 4 boards... so, I'm a little bummed to not feel excited about this new pedal. Especially because we all thought he wouldn't do a straight up screamer (although the clarcksdale is kinda based on it, right?). Fantastic playing and tone, tho!
This pedal sounds fantastic and it’s very versatile and very easy to use! This Moxie must inspiring you a lot because all the examples you recorded are super cool fresh ideas with killer tones for days! Probably one of your best demos ever!🔥🤟🏻
The mini toggle switches are extremely fiddly to use. The fat mode with humbucker is too much for me and sounds kind of fuzzy. The voice switch kills too much in the middle. I love my ego Mini and the Tumnus. Otherwise it stays with the Ibanez TS and Boss od-3 🙂
That “not TS mode” reminded me a bit to the green mode on my Jackson Audio Golden Boy when, still being a bluesbreaker, has some TS flavour. Great demo, as always. Super cool intro. Bit more humbuckers next time, please! You were one of those guys on youtube that convinced me to get a Wampler Belle. Maybe i’ll have to consider this one too. Keep those great videos out! 🤘
Although Im a fan of the Wampler brand, I dont get this pedal at all. If your a Tube Screamer fan then buy a Tube Screamer or a clone, theres hundreds to choose from and if your not a TS fan then buy something thats not a TS clone, so I dont get where this fits..

Haha, let me be your psychiatrist please 😂
Then you should watch Henning’s take on this
Wampler makes fantastic pedals. I went to buy a Tumnus (a Klon clone) but then I discovered the Belle 🤩 I ended up buying both.
Good choice. I’ve had both and I will never part with the Belle. For the Klon sound, you can do much better.

I've been through every compressor out there, from analog man to boss...wampler ego is my favorite. so flexible and sounds perfect.

Pretty inspired intro song, particularly at 0:53… wow ! Wampler seems to like smaller footprints with that one following the Belle 🎸🤘🏻
